I pick one compartment, and it fills up. Go figure, Mae thought bitterly.
So Lucie, Janet, and Elisa. Pretty names. Mae still liked her name best.
She proceeded to ignore the conversation about houses, as she didn't want to think about that yet, but when the conversation turned to languages, her interest came back.
"I speak German, Welsh, and Danish. And English, obviously. Elisa, why would I care if you're a Parselmouth? Just so long as you aren't one of those Muggle-hating wizards, I couldn't care less."
Whoa. Had she just been... nice? Elisa had better appreciate this. Mae's mother would be proud!
Mae looked at the other girl, Janet. She was glad Janet had finally spoken, as Mae had been afraid she had done something wrong. Now it just seemed like Janet was a quiet type. Mae could relate. All this talking was exhausting. She always avoided it if she could. But, of course, talking was necessary to get on in life, unfortunately. Mae did not like this fact.
Why did these girls keep talking? Couldn't they let her read in peace? Books were better companions than people anyway. And book characters. Especially the snarky, fearless ones. Mae wished she could be like that.

Hair: Hello!
Clothes: Whimsy
In their bag: Hogwarts Robes, their glasses, and books

Lucie was stunned for a few minutes, Elisa is a Parselmouth. They suddenly became aware that their facial expression showed genuine awe. ”Why would I dislike you for that? I think that’s awesome! I have a snake back home maybe when we become closer, I can invite you to meet her, her name’s Rory. She’s very dramatic.”

They look at Mae and decide that they like her voice, it's very deadpan and quite frankly pretty cool. ”How do you learn German? I tried but I could never get my pronunciation right.”

They look around the compartment while waiting for the other girls’ responses, the hair that isn't in one of the two buns moves along with them. They start humming one of the songs by the weird sisters, half-zoned out but still paying attention.

They finish the song and are about to hum another one before an intrusive thought appears in their head, When you flush the toilet in the lavatory on a train, where does the waste go?, that makes them pause for a few moments and really get to thinking.

A few minutes passed of them thinking a little too hard before they got a headache and decided to not dwell on the weird thought. They look at the girls with the look of a clueless puppy, but their eyes flicker towards the door multiple times so they are not just staring at them. They put on their glasses because everything is blurry and they actually forgot that their glasses were in their bag in the first place. Whoops!

Both Mae and Lucielia's answers shocked Elisa a bit, She was always feared by her cousins who were unaware of the fact that Parselmouth's ability used to run in their families each generation in the past, her cousins thought of her as a cursed girl and would never dare to spend time in a room alone with her. Due to this whenever her cousins visited their home, Elisa was forced to stay locked in her room.
These two answers made Elisa feel a light kind of happiness in her heart. She finally flashed a smile and said
"Thank you for understanding me, I expected you guys to freak out like my cousins. By the way Mae please don't worry, I may belong to a proud pureblood family but I am quite fond of Muggles and their inventions and hope to explore the unique Muggle places someday."

She then looked back at her book, to read about various potions but her thoughts were filled with curious questions regarding Lucielia's Snake, at first she decided to not disturb Lucielia but at last gave up and finally decided to ask
"So Lucielia which breed does your snake 'Rory' belong to? I myself have 3 Coral snakes, they are 'Amethyst' and her two babies 'Iris' and 'Ivory', I too hope that we get a bit closer then we can maybe introduce each other snakes "

While she patiently waited for Lucielia's answer, she heard Lucielia ask Mae
"How do you learn German? I tried but I could never get my pronunciation right"
Elisa first waited for Mae to give her answer but then finally said
"Lucielia I agree with you, German is quite a hard language to learn, it took me two years to learn it but Mae how did you learn Danish? I have been trying to learn it for the past 8 months and still haven't succeeded, You must be really gifted to learn such hard languages like Danish and Welsh."
She then looked out the window of the train, admiring the beautiful scenery while waiting for the other three girls whom she already considered as friends to answer.

As minutes passed, the atmosphere yet again became awkward to the fact that Elisa couldn't stand it anymore, and it also seemed like most of the girls near her seemed bored by the present conversation, Elisa finally excused herself and stepped out of the compartment, at first to find a lavatory, maybe she might even crash into some other compartments and make friends in there....
