Irina was baileys type of person- sunshiny and happy, and just a good person in general to be around.
Luci seemed more mellow, but he was definitely growing on bailey.
She smiled at Ree as she left, sad that she needed to go, but glad Luci was staying with her and Kim.
Kim decided to be their umpire, which worked for Bailey. She did make a mental note to teach Kim how to play sometime, and then take him to her house during break so he could play with her and her family. Her brothers had been dying to meet Kim, and her parents wanted to too.
After explaining the rules a bit, Bailey took her position as a goal keeper, and luci was trying to score against her.
Bailey laughed at Luci’s comment and said “sorry, my wording wasn’t the best. Just try and kick the ‘ball’ into the goal, that I’m ‘protecting’! Does that make more sense!”
Luci made a great first kick, and scored on Bailey. the ball flew right over her head and Bailey smiled at luci, saying “great shot! That’s definitely a goal!”
She passed the ball back to Luci, and watched as he tried to kick the ball again.
Sadly it seemed to be that his first goal was beginners luck, and soon it was baileys turn to ‘score’ on Luci. Her lips pulled back in a smile, thinking of Luci’s earlier comment.
Bailey rubbed her hands together, warming them up, and then steadied herself.
Kicking their makeshift goal, Bailey got it by Luci.
She smiled, and said “lucky goal, you got this. I’m sure you’ll stop the next ball.”
Sure enough, luci did manage to catch her next ball.
He passed it back to her/she retrieved the ball, and went in for a final kick. She got it by luci, but only barely. She smiled again; turning to Kim she said “do you want to join? I’d be fine with playing goalie for both of you, and the person who isn’t kick could just be the goalie!”
Turning to Luci she added “if that’s ok with you of course. Ohh, and great job being goalie! You did an amazing job!!”Reducio

The trio played for awhile and although it didn't seem as if much time had passed, the sky soon grew darker. Kim looked up at the sky and realized how much time had gone by and raised a hand into the air. "It's getting a bit late. We should probably quit for now. If you two like the game a lot we can always get together and play some more another time." He suggested and gave them what could be seen as a slight smile. "I can be your scorekeeper again too if you want." Kim was more interested in keeping score than playing the game. It wasn't as if he had a lot of interest in sports. Or so he said for now. He shook his head when Bailey asked if he wanted to play, saying she could take over his position. "Nah, it's fine. Even if we kept playing, I like keeping score." Kim told her and nodded when Bailey told Lucian he'd done a great job at being a goalie. Being able to stop any shot was a great thing, even if it did happen to be luck. The point of the game was to have fun. After all, it wasn't as if it was an official match or anything, so there shouldn't be any stress. "See you another time, Lucian!" Kim told him with a nod. Then, he turned around and walked off, although his pace was slow to allow Bailey a chance to catch up. |
