The Intermission
Finally entering the Restricted Section, there was so much to learn. A lot of forbidden information was in every book. She could not wait to put her hands on them. But what she was looking for in particular was nothing specific. She just wanted to be in the room and read a page of a book. It just seemed so rebellious and satisfying. It then hit her... She could find something in particular. She could most likely read about the mask. Was there any information on the mask at all?
She was about to respond when a eerie, thick voice had interrupted them. She jumped and looked to where one of the bookcases were. It was Maya Galim, the Muggle Studies professor at Hogwarts. She was always so mysterious according to her housemates. She often ventured around the grounds at night and stayed out of sight during the day. No one knew anything about her which made next year's choice final-- Bloom was not going to take Muggle Studies because she was not going to put herself in a position with a teacher who may be difficult to get along with.
"We weren't looking for anything...," she said, a bit flustered with the professor. Bloom could not stop staring at her red cloak. It was a brilliant red that covered her head all the way to the floor. "Do you have any recommendations?" she joked, trying to make herself feel better with the 'awkward' interference. Bloom looked to Corvus and shrugged with a small smile. They were definitely getting detention and realistically, it was Bloom's fault as it was her idea to go onto an adventure. Bloom hoped Corvus wouldn't get too mad about it.

The Intermission
It was, perhaps, ironic, that Bloom was telling the truth. He couldn't imagine there were a lot of students roaming this section just 'because.' But here they were, and there a professor had been. He must have fallen asleep earlier, as he didn't recall seeing a professor go into the library. Perhaps she'd just been there far longer than he had been.
He wasn't too familiar with the professors yet, so all he knew was that this meant trouble. Then again, one didn't need a thorough education to recognize something so obvious. In truth, he found her accent most curious of all.
It wasn't British, that much was obvious. Too clear to be Scottish, and certainly not musical enough to be Irish. Somewhere else, then. It was assuredly not European so he was functionally at a loss, and he gave Bloom a sideways look with a partial furrow of his brow at her attempt at a joke.
"Admiring the view." He remarks, in the lilt of North Dublin, his consonants compressed or downright missing depending on the word. "Dumb enough to be here but not dumb enough to be lookin' for anythin' to take."
They hadn't even touched the spines. If anything was to keep them from being thoroughly up the proverbial creek, it was that they were tourists in an off limits section, rather than thieves in an off limits section.
He did his best to keep his face as neutral as could be, but there was still the momentary widening of the eyes that hadn't quite gone away.

Maya was unsure to believe the little Ravenclaw. She knew her ties to the masked student and the last thing she needed was for her to find more information about the mask, let alone any new information that the masked student may need to keep going in his harmful ways. While this may have been a minor catch, for it to be one who is close to the masked student-- an accomplice-- if she were not there, it could have been a nightmare in the future.
Crossing her arms over her chest, she raised her eyebrows in response. "Well, if you enjoy views so much, both of you will have just that in detention. Maya walked towards them, interrupting their personal space as a way of making them walk back to where they entered the room.
"Detention starts tomorrow evening after classes. You will be sent a note as to where it will take place, she said, informatively. "If you fail to attend, then your detention will be longer and consequences will be decided. Do not be late," she added, fixing the hood of her red cloak.
"Do you both understand?" she asked. In a way, it felt as though she was stating the students' rights before getting handcuffed into the police car in America. It felt powerful.

The Intermission
Covering her mouth, Bloom tried to hide a small smile from Corvus' remark. Sometimes humor was the best medicine during a time like this, when the adrenaline is rushing and the future is unknown. She looked back at the professor who had finally turned the conversation stern.
Professor Galim had finally spoken of the detention. She and Corvus were going to start her detention tomorrow evening. She wondered what it would be. There were some detentions where the students would write the same thing over and over again on magical paper that always erases when finished. Another where students were forced to do heavy lifting or labor for the school. The possibilities and ideas that come from teachers were endless.
"Yes, I understand," she said, responding to Professor Galim.
Bloom, clenched her fists together and began to make her way out of the Restricted Area with the help of the professor's physical guidance. It was only natural to walk away from a professor who was walking towards you. One leg over the other, Bloom went over the rope that was the security block for the area. She then looked at the professor with a small smile.
"Sorry," Bloom faintly whispered to Corvus. She truly did feel bad, but sometimes an adventure needed to have its moments of being caught. Typically, she was always caught and let off with a warning by other Prefects. Never had she been caught by a professor before. It was a first, and she wondered if it would really be the last. This was her second year after all.
