Avery wandered into the Herbology classroom cautiously. He doubted he was supposed to be here right now, but he couldn't help but explore a bit, and this, of all places, was one of the rooms that he’d wanted to see.

The sun had hardly risen yet, but golden light still flooded through the classroom’s many, many windows. The scent of lush green life filled the air. Avery was absolutely astounded by the greenery around him. There were plants everywhere; some he recognized, and even more that he didn't.

He wondered what his father would think about this place. His father had taught him quite a lot about plants; things like how to recognize them, which ones were edible, and how to care for them. Of course, he hadn't known much about magical plants, though. His mother had mentioned once that they existed, but she hadn't said much. She didn't really seem to share the same admiration towards flora that Avery and his father had.

Avery considered touching a nearby leaf, but quickly decided against it, not knowing what it was. His eyes then caught on a plant with greenish yellow leaves, again one he didn't quite recognize, (henbane, actually,) when he noticed the one of the leaves had fallen off. He carefully picked it up, looking it over in the sunlight.

Macey walked into the Herbology greenhouse, intending to explore it before her first time. She walked through the doer, closing it behind her. The sun beamed down through the murky glass and shone on her face, illuminating her slightly freckled face. She moved down one of the rows, not noticing Avery. She turned to a small plant with black stems dotted with white flowers.
“Moly...” she muttered under her breath. Her father had bought her a bush of these for her seventh birthday, and urged her to keep them in her room just in case andyone decided to enchant her. He told her that Moly was eaten to counteract enchantments. The bush in her room was large, and she watered it every morning. Macey had left it to the care of her father and mother while she was gone. She moved on further down the row, glancing along as she passed. She didn’t recognise most of these herbs. Macey guessed that she’d learn about them in class. One particular bush caught her eye. It was a Shrivelfig tree. Her mother grew one in the greenhouse in their backyard. She always made sure that the greenhouse always felt like it was a warm season, so the roots didn’t get vicious and hurt anyone. She was about to move on when she noticed Avery.
“Hi!” She called, smiling. She walked up behind him and peered over his shoulder. “Whatcha g-“ she cut off abruptly.
“That’s Henbane.” She whispered, frightened. “Otherwise know as ‘hen killer.’ It is extremely poisonous.” She backed up against the opposite side of the row.

"Knock…." Cecilia carefully open the door and poke his head in, he hopes this is the right place. He has tried to find his way to the Great hall for like 30 minutes, and if this wasn’t the right place? He would just gives up. You can’t blame him though, as his dorm mates described the school, Hogwarts is a giant castle with mazes, dissapearable hall ways, a staircase that would just disappear whenever it likes…. A normal eleven years old kid could easily be lost, and him? He is blind and was still trying not to fell over the toy train in his dorm room!
“…..It is extremely poisonous.”  Student voice! Finally! Someone he could asks for direction! Cecilia sighed in relief. This place is peacefull and quiet, smells of grass, plants, wood and dirt, so not the Great hall then. Maybe he'll take a rest before going to the Great hall, walking without a certain sense of where he was heading to for 30 minutes straight is really not Cecilia’s thing to do
“Hi?” He say shyly, just hoping that no one would mistook him as a girl, he has stayed at Hogwarts 2 days and no one he met realized he was a boy. It is not like he minds it though, even his foster fathers thought he was a little girl when they first met at the orphanage. And now when he was letting his hair free, no one could ever realize his gender :)
