Andrea looked at Holly and smiled instead of answering. It was nice she wanted to share with her and hopefully her brother had put aside some food for Holly that she could share with Andrea. The best would be if it was chicken, Andrea’s favorite food, but everything would be good right now after a really long day with hard classes and getting lost while being hungry.

They continued their search for the great hall. They had been walking in different corridors and rooms. They had been going through big oak doors and small oak doors. Long corridors, short corridors, small corridors and dark creepy corridors. It felt like they had been in every room at Hogwarts just in a day. We will never find the way too the great hall, Andrea thinks too herself while she is walking next too Holly.

Andrea walked with her head down looking at the stone floor. She was in her own world while she was walking. Thinking about every sort of weird thing that could happen if they never found the way to the great hall or one of the common rooms. Holly said something and Andrea slowly looked up at her, “What? What do you mean?” Andrea confused asked Holly. What was Holly talking about. Filling your plate with what is left? Andrea didn’t understand. Had Holly said something too her before that that she just didn’t hear? Holly pointed at something and Andrea looked. It was a open door right in front of the two of them. Andrea’s face lid up with joy when she understood what Holly meant.

The two lost girls finally found the great hall. Andrea and Holly walked up to the open door and walked inside. The great hall had few people and not a lot of food left. There were a group of people sitting and playing chess at the Gryffindor table, a Girl studying at the Slytherin table, some people eating and a few people just sitting and talking. It was surprisingly quiet in the room when Andrea and Holly walked in. “Maybe dinner just finished?” Andrea questioned. It was hopefully not too late to grab some food. There were still some food left on the tables. From where the girls were standing Andrea could see some apples, plates with porridge, banana bread and a orange colored drink that looked like orange juice.

Andrea turned too Holly and asks, “Want too start eating?”

Holly must have gone on autopilot out of hunger when they entered the great hall because when Andrea asked her if they should start eating, Holly had already grabbed a plate and filled it with lots of food. This is why she stopped abruptly in her motion and stared at Andrea, "Sorry, I should have waited." She laughed a little embarrassed.

When she had her plate, she looked around, maybe she could see her brother. She still had a bone to pick with him. If he hadn't had that look, she wouldn't have gone out of his way. And if she hadn't gotten out of his way, she wouldn't have gotten lost. If she hadn't gotten lost, she probably wouldn't have met Andrea in that fantastic kind of way.

He’s not here. Welp. Probably somewhere to do something stupid. Again. Did he already get his daily howler today? It was so commonplace for her that she didn't even notice it anymore. But she already knew he was lurking somewhere just waiting to do something. She just didn't know what he was up to right now, but by the time she does, she'll know what got her.

But now she was more occupied with stuffing herself with food. Afterward, she may have a little chat with Andrea before she has to get lost again until she finally arrives at the Slytherin house.

Andrea laughs with Holly. “It’s fine.” Andrea was really hungry and it was shocking she hadn’t started eating yet. The food didn’t look as good as it would have looked if Holly and Andrea came to the great hall a bit earlier, but Andrea didn’t care. And it didn’t look bad, just not like the food they usually got in the great hall. Not as fresh, you know? But It was food that wasn’t poisoned and that was the most important thing right now.

Andrea ran to Holly and grabbed a plate for herself. She looked around searching for food she knew she liked. She was hopping they had chicken. When she spotted the chicken at the end of the table her face lid up. It was just some chicken wings, but eating your favorite food after being hungry for a long time was the best thing ever. She grabbed some chicken wings and some veggies and put it on her plate. Holly had already grabbed some food so Andrea tried to hurry up so Holly didn’t eat up before Andrea got the chance to start eating. She wanted to have someone too eat with. Andrea sat down on the wooden bench and smiled at Holly. “I’m happy we met.”

“Me too!”, Said Holly with her mouth full and still stuffing food in it, she kind of looked like a chipmunk by now, very cute, but when she swallowed only God knows how she did that, with that much food in her mouth. Then she added, “I'm also glad I found a new friend.” She wasn’t looking at Andrea, she was way too fixated on food right now and turned back into a chipmunk (fictively speaking).

Her mother would probably have had a screaming fit by now, with her behaviour. Because this extremely temperamental woman paid great attention to etiquette, good manners, and decency. At home, Holly, like Alfred, had enjoyed a harsh and strict upbringing... and a very loud one obviously.

But at the moment, Holly didn’t care one teeny-tiny bit about that. She was hungry and she had something to eat, so she satisfied her hunger with food. End of discussion about that. But she slowed down a bit so she could eat with Andrea.

She cleared herself and looked at Andrea, "So... I'm bad at small talk. Does the food taste good?", Slightly nervous, she tried again to behave more elegantly, but except for a straight back, her hunger did not leave much room for her. Keyword: Chipmunk.

“Same.” Andrea said and smiled. She was happy Holly called her friend already. Holly was a friend to her to. She took a bite of one of the chicken wings in front of her. The food was delicious, even though it wasn’t fresh and the chicken wings wasn’t warm. Andrea looked up at Holly. Holly looked funny when she looked like a chipmunk. Andrea almost had to laugh when she stuffed her mouth with food. Andrea probably also looked like a chipmunk by now, just like Holly. Her mouth was also stuffed with food, mostly chicken.

”That’s fine.” Andrea answered Holly. Andrea wasn’t always that good at small talk neither. It depends on who it is with and in what situation. It was easy with Holly. Holly was very easy too talk to. “The food tastes amazing.” It was true. She didn’t know if the food would taste good for someone who hadn’t been lost in random corridors for a long time hungry, but for her, the food definitely tasted amazing. She had food around her mouth and had spilled some food on her robes So you could easily understand that she didn’t lie.

”Did you like the food?” Andrea asked Holly back. It was obvious that she did so she said, “Dumb question, sorry.” before Holly got the time to answer. Andrea got a bit embarrassed and thought a bit before she asked. “So what’s your favorite food?”

Holly had to think first. She liked many things and was picky about a few things. At home, her mother had a lot of stew and lots of casseroles. She usually liked the lamb or the potatoes in them the most if they had any. But is it her favorite? What does she really like? Difficult question.

Her brother simply refused to eat healthy and would do EVERYTHING to get her dessert. Although he knew how unwise it was to want to take away HER dessert. Especially if it was any kind of chocolate pudding. Oh boy. That meant war.
Even Mom, who was otherwise so strong and stubborn, was worried about losing a finger and did not dare to stand between the two devoured piranhas. That's why there's only chocolate pudding on New Year's Eve. Starting the year with a battle cry was commonplace in Holly's family.

She realized she still wanted to answer the question, “Chocolate Pudding!”, She looked at Andrea’s Plate, “Let me take a guess, you like chicken?”

Holly smiled at Andrea before she turned back to look like a chipmunk. Then the Chipmunk-Holly asks Chipmunk-Andrea, “Is there anything you don't like to eat?”, How she could communicate in a way that it was understandable… only god knows.

Chocolate pudding was a good answer Andrea though to herself. She liked chocolate pudding to, but it wasn’t her favorite. Her favorite dessert was brownies with ice cream. The best thing in the world, or definitely the second best thing. Chicken was obviously the best. Brownies with ice cream was the best dessert that was for sure. Andrea looked at her plate and smiled then she looked back at Holly and said, “That was probably hard to guess.” She laughs and takes another bite of the chicken wing in front of her. Holly hopefully understood sarcasm.

Andrea wasn’t a picky eater, but there had too be something she didn’t like. She thought to herself for a while before answering Holly. “I’m not a big fan of shrimp. It has this weird texture and taste.” She hadn’t eaten it often, but the times she had she just didn’t like it. “What about you, do you have food you don’t like? She asked Holly. Everyone probably did have at least one thing they absolutely hated and never wanted to eat again.

When Andrea was young she hated chicken, but now she loves it. She had to admit that the chicken at Hogwarts was a lot better then the one in the muggle world. It might be the same chicken, but it tasted completely different in a big room with magical flying candles.

Holly raised one of her eyebrows, "Are you kidding? Your plate is mostly- Oh!" She's a little slow on sarcasm. She laughs out of embarrassment, at herself or the situation who knows, but she is laughing.

She had nothing against shrimp as long as it was not served alone. Oh, yeah, if she could eat something WITH something, she could eat almost everything. She was able to change the taste, cover it up, or even neutralize the dish to her liking. Or at least eat it.

But yes, there was already something that, for the best, didn't make her eat. “Oysters…”, she said with a disgusted look on her face. “I still don't understand how my father can eat them.”, The thought of him eating them out of their shell makes her shake with disgust.

Luckily her father is a workhorse and rarely comes home and even less asks if there are these vomit buckets for dinner. She is also happy that only her father likes her from the whole known family. As far as she knows at least.
Mum's still trying to find a way to stop him from coming up with the idea. Because if he asks, everybody knows that devil-woman just can't say no to him.

"What do you usually have at home?"

“Yeah ew.” Andrea said and made a disgusted face. “Oysters taste like vomit.” She quickly adds. Andrea wasn’t a big seafood fan. She liked fish and it was probably the only seafood she could eat without wanting to throw up, but it wasn’t her number one favorite food.

”We usually have homemade pizza or lasagna at home.” She said and smiled at Holly. Pizza and lasagna was of course not the only thing they had for dinner, but Andrea guessed that was what they had the most. “My dad and my mom often makes dinner together and I often help them if I have time.” she adds on.

Andrea grew up loving cooking and baking. Her mom was a chef and worked in a restaurant in central London. While her dad worked in a cake bakery in east London. Both of her parents really enjoyed cooking and baking that’s why they always made dinner together. Andrea would usually visit her dad in the bakery after school and help him decorate some of the cakes and cupcakes. That was a thing she missed a lot now that she was at Hogwarts.

”what about you? What do you usually have at home back in Ireland?”

Holly looked at Andrea a bit confused. Was it that easy to find out so much where she came from? Granted, her family didn't have much contact outside the family, so you could probably hear the dialect clearly. But Holly always thought it didn't sound too conspicuous. Her mother had a very strong audible one. But she was basically just a loud person.

“I live in Bristol. That’s in England.” She clarified before she answered the question, “Mum makes a lot of stews and casseroles.”, She adds, “My mother would freak out if someone else would cook. Or just try to help her.”

“Last time my brother tried to cook for her. She screamed so loud, we only got rid of the beep after a week.”, Holly could laugh about it today, “But she was hoarse all month”, She almost got a laughing fit when she added, "You should have seen her offended pout. Couldn’t scream at us at all!"

She explained briefly as she calmed down a bit, “My mum doesn't last long NOT to yell or scold. That's why we missed it a little bit.” Smiling she said, “It’s her love language.”

Anyway, it was her turn to ask again, “How can your parents work together in the kitchen? Doesn't it get complicated with the spells and the magic items and stuff?”, That was, after all, the biggest point why her mother would conjure hell on earth when someone was in the kitchen. Not even her father was safe.
