How Come I Didn't Know Sooner? PV Rowan Bane

A girl whipped around the corner, like a starling taking flight with the way her hair flared behind her, a panicked look in her eyes. She just short of sprinted at him, in hysterics over something.
Rowan flinched back harshly, the same terror reflecting in his own eyes for just a moment, before he recognized her.
Min-Seo Kim
Crying and asking him why about... something. He barely understood the question. What was she talking about?
He relaxed once more, instead rolling forward to take her shaking hands in his own, concern replacing the terror. Reaching up he brushed the hair out of her eyes, fixing her ruffled appearance and at the same time getting a better look at her face. 

"Hey- hey hey hey Min, calm down. What's wrong? What are you talking about? Why are you crying? Talk to me."

He couldn't help her if he didn't know what was wrong. 
Rowan had been in a wheelchair for a week or two now, back at hogwarts, so it wasn't surprising he didn't understand the why Min was throwing at him. That and the fact that he thought he had told everyone by now. Although... He had forgotten to tell Riley as well, and had just explained to the male what happened a few hours ago. It barely crossed his mind. He was more concerned that Min was injured.

Rowan looked quite shocked that this mess of a girl came hurling at him, wanting to ask so many questions about what happened. She chuckled. She knew that she shouldn't be worried, she just always overreacted things like this. She felt Rowan brush some of her hair out of her face and took her hands in his own. He wanted her to talk to him. She sighed, calming down. He was fine. "Sorry to scare you like that, I just haven't seen you in a long time, and I wondered why. A bunch of students were talking about someone that broke his back from some freak accident and was in a wheelchair, and I asked who, and they said it was you. I just was shocked, and I don't hold it against you for not telling me, and sorry I'm crying, it's also probably because I was running around and it was painful running so long," she said softly. She felt like an idiot. He'd probably been back for a while now. She just was so caught up with school and homework that she totally forgot to check in with her friends. Well, Rowan the most. She'd been spending a lot of time with Elena, and she just felt so busy.

He blinked at those words. 
Once.
Twice.
First Riley now Min? Min-Seo Kim. His best friend since day one now. He had forgotten to tell her. He pulled back- shoving his hands into his hair- like the girl's skin was suddenly made of wild fire. The flower crown listed dangerously, threatening to fall off his brow.

"No- no no no no no- no- Gods above what is wrong with me?"

He was falling apart at the seems. First forgetting to tell people about the wheelchair- then the breakdown yesterday- and now- This! Calm, collected Rowan, flinching back from a girl running at him, getting visibly worried and annoyed at her words. 
He snapped out of it, taking a slow breath as he fixed his hair. 
Rowan refused to break down in-front of Min. Maybe later in his room when he was alone, but not here, not now. She was worried about him. He wasn't about to give her another reason to do so. 

"I'm so sorry- I've just been busy lately- I tried sending out letters to everyone before break when I was leaving for the hospital- but I missed a few people- I'm so sorry. I don't know why it didn't get to you sooner." 

Min-seo tilted her head with a worried expression as Rowan let go of her quickly and seemed to freak out. He shoved his hands into his hair. He seemed to be breaking down, block by block. "R-Ro? Are you okay? she asked, afraid for her best friend. He was shaking and asking what was wrong with him. Min-seo shook her head. "There's nothing wrong with you, Ro. You're okay." she said softly to him. She put her hand on his shoulder lightly, bracing for it to be brushed off. She knew that probably would happen, but she just wanted him to be okay. This happened a lot to her as well, especially when she was stressed out. She took a deep breath, calming herself down as well as trying to calm him down. Her breathing slowed from the current event of her running at him at full speed. She felt terrible now. She looked back at Rowan as he told her he was sorry for not telling her sooner. Min-seo shook her head lightly. "You have no need to say sorry. All is forgiven, well, there was nothing to forgive in the first place. It's understandable. I'm just glad you're still alive." she said softly.

The little bird touched his shoulder, grounding him in the present again. She was saying it was okay. No it wasn't okay. But she forgave him. And that was better than nothing. 
Rowan knew she would hate to be pushed off. So he didn't. Instead he took her head again. 

"I'm still sorry. It's not good that I forgot. You needed to know. I made you worried." 

He hated dealing with himself. Hated dealing with others. He was so calm until recently. He was becoming more emotional. More vulnerable. Opening up to people at school and whatnot. Opening up to Min first, now Riley, and more. A surprising amount of people, actually. Now that he stepped back to think about it, he realized how many people he had actually come to be friends with. But he still felt so empty sometimes. 
He kept blocking them all out, and it was terrible. He hated himself for shutting them out. Shutting everyone out. He wanted to scream. 
Rowan pushed himself back a bit, touching his face slowly. Tears...? 
He was crying. 
That wasn't supposed to happen. None of this was supposed to happen. He was supposed to be calm and collected. Supposed to be perfect for the crowd. 
But something had changed.

Min-seo shook her head at his words. "It's okay, I told you, and forgetting to tell me is totally acceptable. I knew that I'd find out eventually. Plus, I'm guessing that was a very traumatic experience, I would think so anyway. So, if you don't mind me asking, what happened in general? I only know you were paralyzed." she said in a calm tone. She was worried for him, no doubt about that. She'd never seen him like this, for one, and while it was good to see emotions, it'd be better if they were happy ones. Rowan seemed to be on the verge of breaking down. Then Min-seo saw what she'd never thought she'd see on Rowan's face. Tears. She was shocked. Min-seo felt like crying herself, she already did before him, but it wasn't abnormal for her to do. She squeezed his hand and wiped them away softly. She never wanted to see her friends suffer. Especially not Rowan, because he was literally her best friend. She would've hugged him, but she wasn't sure if he'd want that. So she just stayed there, rubbing circles on her best friend's hand. He just seemed so open, and that usually wasn't the case.
