Now he will see the wretch I truly am and back off. I knew he would last, no one does. However, Kyle did not cease to amaze her. Where she thought he would pick up his stuff and leave, he went against her every word at full force.
"Cosa c'è che non va in te? /What is wrong with you? Si, I agree that you are all of the above listed Signora, but there has to be more to you then just a bunch of spikes, a trap isnt placed if there is nothing of importance. Also don't attack my character because of YOUR insecurity and problems. What do you want to hear? That this is all some sort of prank or ruse to hurt you? Why would I? How much do you know about me? Also I didn't do it out of the kindness of my heart but rather of the selfishness of wanting a friend. The saddest part of you is not the saddest part of me, so don judge people based on yourself. I offered my precious time for reason that you seemed upset so I wanted to make you did not feel lonely, I wanted to offer something to take your mind off of it, something of help," Kyle's words stung, but were flattering in an odd way. Quite possibily a way only Gyda would be tempted to be flattered. Any other girl probably would have run the other way.
She swore she could have seen some kind of kindness cross his face, but he was not done raging against her. And beside her exterior demeanor of deviance, the rage left her utterly untouched on the inside. You wanted to cause this, this is your doing. Don't you dare to feel sad now. His dark eyes became cold and piercing. "But if you want to be enemies, I am very capable of making your life a living hell, I will assure you that I will spend every second of my living breath making sure yours is difficult. That every moment you have as frustrating as trying to find a needle in a haystack that never had a needle in the first place." His last statement sent a shiver up her spine. A good one, not a shiver of fear. No, this was becoming an interesting game to her, and seeing Kyle become so dark energized her. A grin appeared on her face, as she calmly looked away from him. "You haven't answered my question either Signora, but here's a new one.... Why are you so hesitant to be friends with me?"
Gyda inhaled deeply before answering Kyle. She owed him somewhat of an answer, she figured. And his resilience and his slip of darkness only made things more interesting as they went on. However, even considering the option of having him as a friend still was something impossible to Gyda. She'd never admit to that.
"Harsh words, for such a friendly soul as yourself," she purred. "Intriguing, I'll admit. I'm almost tempted to become your enemy, to see the extent and truth of your words, but then again, where is the fun in that?" She sighed, and faced him. "You know, being enemies or no one at all is a lot easier, if that answers your question about my hesitance. People walk away, from me, all the bloody time. And I'm done being hurt by that, so I just make sure it doesn't happen by pushing everyone away if I can help it. But... you figured that much. Trust me, Kyle, you'll be better off not being my friend. I'm too much work, and you seem to precious to waste your time trying to fix me. This is me, doing you a favor." Gyda sighed again. She crumpled the letters that set her off earlier further, and tried to push them into her pockets. She slowly made way to stand up and walk away from Kyle. To cut the cord, and save the guy a load of trouble.

Kyle's eyebrows furrowed at Gyda's grin, why as she grinning at his harsh words towards her? Well not that harsh but still he had said some offensive things and she just smiled. What the heck was she? It seemed like she was feeding off his negative energy, like a dementor... Was that a possible half-breed? Kyle shivered at that thought, but if their was anybody who was a half-breed dementor it would be Gyda, in Kyle's opinion at least. Despite the confusing reaction Kyle pressed on with his question.
"Harsh words, for such a friendly soul as yourself," she said in a way that made Kyle's skin crawl, he rolled his eyes and crossed his arms and legs. If you had watched enough crime interrogations you would know this was a unconscious sitting position of defense, creating some sort of barrier between the two with his crossed legs.
"Intriguing, I'll admit. I'm almost tempted to become your enemy to see the extent and truth of your words-" Kyle was about to interrupt her but then stopped at her next words "-But then again, where is the fun in that?" Gyda sighed before facing him, the iron blue bullets that she had for eyes seemed to soften slightly.

She crumpled up a paper, presumably a letter, stood up and began to try to turn and leave.
At this point, Kyle was beyond conflicted, why was she like a traffic light? Giving green lights then quickly switch to red lights? Or maybe she was just a yellow light, a mixture of all the lights? Kyle was trying hard to figure her out, a split second she was hostile and aggressive, the next Gyda was soft and vulnerable. Almost like a cat, this most unfortunately for Gyda made Kyle a whole lot more interested in her, he wanted to know more. Kyle sighed, she was a total brain twister, Kyle couldn't tell what drew him to her so much but he just labeled it as his usual "nosy" self.
"Aspettare Signora! Wait Signora!" Kyle said getting up to go catch up to Gyda grabbing her wrist. He paused for a moment as he struggled to find the words to speak to her, after a second he realized he was still holding her wrist so he quickly let go.
"Primo First, you're not a waste of time, you shouldn't say that about yourself. Secondo Second, the most difficult people are the ones worth keeping around, they're worth the time because they actually stick around later. Terzo Third, Si I'm no angel, I'm a jerk just like you, and you know what?..... There's no problem with that. Il Sole illumina le debolezze della gente..... The Sun shines on people's weaknesses."
Kyle sighed before looking at the sky again, the swirling blue and grays of the October Scottland skies were beautiful, he looked back down at Gyda with her auburn hair which more represented that of the falling leaves.
"If you want to leave you can Signora, but I will not willingly leave, I'll stay and you can go, it's your choice...."

░⌟~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Aspettare Signora! / Wait Signora! " Kyle said, but Gyda did not turn around. Suddenly she felt a hand around her wrist. She turned, and eyed Kyle's hand around her wristed while he paused. Gyda looked up from her wrist to look at Kyle's eyes, who appeared at a loss for words. He seemed to realize he was holding her, and quickly let go.
"Primo / First, you're not a waste of time, you shouldn't say that about yourself. Secondo /Second, the most difficult people are the ones worth keeping around, they're worth the time because they actually stick around later. Terzo /Third, Si I'm no angel, I'm a jerk just like you, and you know what?..... There's no problem with that. Il Sole illumina le debolezze della gente... / The Sun Shines on people's weaknessess..." Kyle sighed before looking at the sky and after a moment he looked back down at Gyda. Gyda fought the urge to blush. She utterly refused to show him that his kind words affected her so. The way he said it, and the way he somehow admitted that he was just as twisted as she is, comforted her, which was an odd feeling for Gyda. People never made her feel comfortable. People made her feel weird, or lonely, or unwanted, or overly interesting in the wrong way, but Kyle didn't. Although their whole encounter had been rather brief, maybe too short to get to know someone properly, it was long enough for Gyda to know that he was sincere. She kept questioning why on earth he would want to befriend her at all, but that was of no consequence now. Her unease kept growing, simply she was so scared of the way he made her feel welcome and wanted just now. "If you want to leave you can Signora, but I will not willingly leave, I'll stay and you can go, it's your choice...."
Gyda looked at him for a long moment. She was leaving, that much she had decided for herself. Not because of Kyle, but for herself. She needed to sort herself out in private. She sighed deeply. "Thank you," her words were barely a whisper, but she tried to keep her face as neutral as possible. She could feel her brows frown slightly, not in confusion, but because of the dificulty of schooling herself while admitting something terrifying to her. "Thank you...for this," she said a little louder. "I'm gonna go, to my dorm, not because of you. I'm going because I need to do so for myself." She sighed deeply again. "You're surely going to haunt my thoughts for the unforseable future, I'll give you that much, Kyle." She gave him a ghost of a smile, because slowly turning away and heading to her dorm.
She meant what she said. Kyle would haunt her thoughts, for a long while, but in the best way possible. Though, Gyda, of course, would never admit to such an atrocity.
