A intriguing book
Ariana looked up surprised at the new voice. " HI!" Ariana said smiling. " OK, OK. i'm Ariana and i personally suggest any book on dragons.. but that's mainly because i'm an aspiring dragon trainer." Ariana laughed, her joyous giggles catching in the wind, earning annoyed " SHHHHHHHHHHHS" from nearby students. " sorry sorry!" Ariana quickly apologized, flashing her dazzling smile at an extremely irritated boy sitting near them. " anyways, it really depends on what your interests are, but if its light reading your looking for, try reading; a witches guide to wizards, school and other annoying things" Ariana said smiling, " it helps you deal with boy(or girl) trouble, school and stuff that most people don't have the patience for. at the back of the book it has some breathing exercises and calming stories if you have trouble sleeping at night." Ariana informed the girl. " but if that's not what your looking for, try; zen stories for gals, girls, and witches'.But don't trust me! i'm not the librarian, speaking of which, you should speak to her if you really want information! am i talking too much? i feel like i'm talking too much, if i am just tell me to ' shut up!' and i hopefully will" Ariana said all in one breath.

A intriguing book
I was walking towards the library, not sure why, arms full of papers, overdue books, and art supplies.
After entering the library, I noticed a bunch of people look up and stare at me. "Why are they staring at me?", I wonder aloud quietly. I decide to ignore the gawking and look for somewhere nice and comfortable to sit, I find a comfy bean bag chair and set my art supplies and papers down. People were still staring. "Why?", I think again. I put away my overdue books and start looking for some new ones.
I find one that I had already read multiple times before, it was a muggle book. "The Road Not Taken, And Other Poems By Robert Frost", that was the title. "Two roads diverged in a wood and I- I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." I looked up from the book. Two Slytherin girls pointed and snickered at me. I did not care what others thought, nor did I know why they were laughing. I decide to find out.

A intriguing book
All of the awkwardness was more than a little overwhelming to Guinevere and she was glad that Ariana tried to change the subject. She pursed her lips and stared at the Ravenclaw, who seemed to be either have a panic attack or a mental breakdown, if they weren't the same thing. She was. So reclusive that she felt bad for her, for being scared, but it seemed a little ridiculous to her. The girl had been so keen on going to comfort Ariana earlier but now she was the one getting comforted herself, for no apparent, unless it was because she was uncomfortable with the situation. She knew being a first-year was overwhelming sometimes but...eh, Guinevere didn't feel like figuring out.
Her jaw now ached a little from smiling so much, but she continued, saying, "Actually, my favorite subject is Potions, too. It's cool to have that in common." She gave a genuine smile to Ariana, wondering what made her like Potions.
Then the Ravenclaw began stuttering. Guinevere sighed internally, but comforted the girl. "Take your time, we understand." Ariana then mentioned a game, which she was very grateful for, and said, "Hm..." The logical answer is a blade of grass but she also thought that if could be a King's Army in the dead of winter, waiting at the enemy's line as the wind blows, rustling the swords, or 'blades', and watching the snowflakes fall. But sometimes the simplest answers were the key. "I think maybe a piece of grass? Makes sense." She thought of her own answer quietly as she waited.
Then another girl appeared. Guinevere had noticed her come but didn't think she'd talk to little trio. Ariana was quick to answer, and she felt like it was a good enough one for her not to say anything herself. She waved her hand slightly, though, in greeting, noticing that she was a Gryffindor as well. This made her sit up straighter; maybe this was her time to make friends with her own House.
After the Hufflepuff finished speaking, she said, "You would make out for a pretty good librarian yourself, Ariana." She grinned at her then turned to the new person. "I'm Guinevere. I agree with her, it depends on what you're looking for, but for light reads, I think maybe something to do with...maybe fairy tales. They have collections and you can just choose which ones you want to read." She glanced around at the bookshelves in thought.
She happened to notice another girl with bright red hair enter the library, carrying books, and a few dumb Slytherins laugh at her. Guinevere was glad she didn't get into that House, but she knew one thing you shouldn't do is confront them, and that girl looked like she was going to do that. She sucked in her cheeks and watched.

Ariana's reply had surprised Rose, yet made her laugh and her eyes twinkle. The same irritated boy who shushed Ariana before simply got up and sat somewhere else, shooting glares at the group. Rose sent one right back before turning back to the girls.
"Thanks for the recommendations! I do really love fairy tales, but I don't know if there are any I haven't read yet, so I think I'll try the Zen for gals, girls, and witches."
"So, a dragon trainer eh? That sounds really exciting, what got you into dragons?" Rose asked, genuinely intrigued.
"Oh! I'm sorry, where are my manners? I'm Rose Sherwin, first year Rav-Gryffindor." Rose grimaced and mentally facepalmed for almost saying Ravenclaw. Stupid, stupid, she thought, You didn't get in, remember? She worried about what the other girls were thinking about her, for she was sure they noticed her slip-up.
They probably think you're stupid. As they should. Who get's their house mixed up with another? Her cheeks burned and her face and neck felt hot. She wanted to just turn around and leave but her stubbornness forced her to stick it out and wait for the girls reply. All she could do was hope they wouldn't laugh at her.
