I can't believe I'm lost

Alix listened intently to what Luna said...making sure she could understand every word since her new found friend seemed to be quite secretive. “You have a brother? What year is he?” She asked, curious to know about the other girl and her life. Alix often found her self getting a little too curious about things and people. She loved knowing more and understanding which is why she often enjoyed talking to all different types of people. She wondered about Luna’s family and life before hogwarts. Did she know magic before? She knew she was at least half-blood since she mentioned her mother was in Ravenclaw. Maybe unlike her dad her mother taught her some spells and potions? Even though Alix was a witch and knew of magic her whole life, she always felt rather grouped away from the magic community and the muggle community. Like she belonged to neither.

“I’m a half-blood, my dads a wizard. He was an auror for a few years till he retired. He lost a few body parts way too often and thought it best to get a desk job.” Alix laughed, remembering the stories her father would tell her of his days as an auror, “What about you? I figured you’re at least a half-blood since you mentioned your mom was a Ravenclaw. What’s she like?”

"I actually have two brothers," Luna's eyes sparkle when she started talking about them, "Alex, his real name is Alexander but I like to call him Alex more, he is a Slytherin, and he is sixteen years old. My little brother is quite young, he is just nine years old. But even before he goes to Hogwarts, I can guess which house he will be in." Luna smiled a bit and asked Alix, "How about you? Do you have any sisters or brothers?"

"An Auror? That's... a good job," She had heard that there were a lot of people died because of it, so Luna wasn't really sure about what she just said about the job. It was good that her father was still alive, but she knew that she shouldn't say it. "I'm a Pure-blood. Both of my parents are working at the Ministry of Magic official," Luna smiled a bit more when she thought about her father and mother, "My father is a Gryffindor, his wife, or we can say, my mother, is a Ravenclaw. If we are talking about my mother's beauty, then with me, she is the most beautiful girl. And if we are talking about her personality, she is the best mother to me. And about how intelligent she is, we shouldn't forget that she is a Ravenclaw."

“I have a brother too, Travis. He’s a muggle, just like my mother. At first my father was worried that he’d feel weird having a witch as a sister with him being a muggle and all. Like how do you understand how you don’t have magic but your little sister does? Travis didn’t mind though, he said he liked being a muggle. He calls me his magic little weirdo,” Alix smiled a little. She loved her brother so much. It was hardest leaving him in coming to hogwarts. She wished he wasn’t a muggle and that her older brother could help guide her through school.

Alix listened intently to Luna talk of her mother. She sounded very fond of her, fond of Ravenclaw as well. This made Alix happy, knowing that her new friend was fond of her house. “She sounds very nice. I mean she’s a Ravenclaw! We’re all great! I’m joking some of us are a little too...well...in the stars. Sometimes...I have to admit... I am too. I guess it’s the way some of us think? A little too extended for this world. However anyone in any house could think the same way. How do you think? That sounds very strange...sorry. I mean how do you view things? Are you in the stars? Always logical? Prejudice? I won’t judge, I’m fascinated by the way people think. It’s so interesting to me. Muggles call it Psychology! I’m taking a muggle class over the summer on psychology since I’m so fascinated.”

"Oh I do understand what you mean, but it's great that he isn't jealous or sad, or stuff like that, things will be really... not good you know." It would be really hard for the whole family if her brother was like that. Gladly he wasn't... "Oh that's a cute nickname. I... just call my brother Alex and Olly haha." Actually she called Olly "little puppy" sometimes too. She wanted to call Alex something similar, but... she asked him once. And what he did was giving her a "Slytherin" smile and asked if she was sure or not... As a normal person, she still wanted to live so, of course, she never asked him that question again.

"Oh, I know what you mean... You want to know how I view things right? Let me see... well, this is a hard question, I don't even know much about myself. Maybe... you can guess if we talk more?" Luna actually didn't know how she saw things. Like normal people? But she didn't know how normal people saw things so... That was the best answer that she could think about. "That interests me too...
