Mellani had finally decided to get up and take a stroll through the grounds. Maybe some fresh air would be useful. At the ground, she saw several signs about some weird weeds that they were apparently supposed to remove. She wondered how those could have come.
Honestly, she felt bad for the weeds. They hadn't exactly poisoned anybody, they were just weird and smelled bad. Maybe she related to those weeds a bit too much, but that was her problem. The weeds were probably poisonous, who knew? She went closer to the forbidden forest and noticed the weeds. She sighed as she put on her gloves. She wondered if there was some magic she could use to clean the weeds, but then decided against it. There was no telling what magic could do to these weeds. She had learned to stop trusting magic long ago.
She started taking out the weeds and putting them in a small container that she had with her. There were not many weeds and the other students seemed to have cleared them off too, but wherever Mell found one, she was sure to remove it and put it in her container. Mellani looked at her gloves. Yeah, she'd definitely have to give them a good thorough washing.

WEIRD WEEDS MOD POST
The plant was not easy to remove. The thick stalk went deep into the ground and it would require two hands and a mighty (actually several mighty) yanks to extricate the plant from the ground. The roots went deep and seemed to wrap around rocks and other plants. The remains of a dead woodland creature apparently strangled by the roots of the plant came up with it.
