Breaking Down Closed

'I don't get why I am always such a little baby, but I am. I get hurt too easy and I let it get way too deep.'
I run up to the Astronomy tower and run to the edge and sit. My back slides down the jagged rock and I feel the cuts start to sting. 'I get this pain. And I can't get rid of it. Why does no one like me like I am?' I feel the tears fall out of my eyes, over my cheeks, across my lips, and then they plop on to the rock below me. I use my sweatshirt and wipe the tears off my face, feeling the burn of the sleeve as it scratches under my eyes. "W-Why? Why am I not normal?" I continue to cry as I wallow in my 200 foot deep hole of self pity and shame. 'I'm gonna be straight. People don't like me for me, so I'll be normal and have them like me. It will work, it has too. I feel like I have no one...' I just sit there and cry and cry and cry. I have nothing better to do. I can't go home and escape from the problem. I can't go back home and snuggle with my cats and cry myself to sleep. I sleep in a room full of guys, straight guys, I can't have them think any less of me than they already do, which would be absolutely depressing, because I already feel they dislike me a lot as is.

I didn't know what I would see when I passed the Astronomy Tower and heard strange but soft noises coming from what I thought to be an empty tower. I walked up the steps slowly and quietly, carefully creaking open the door. When I peered inside, i caught sight of you, sitting on the floor and crying.  At first I am shocked a bit, seeing you curled up on the ground, and crying to yourself, but I quickly gather myself.

"Oh my! Are you alright?!" I ask quickly, moving inside and letting the door shut, going to your side and sitting next to you, gently setting my hand on your shoulder. Mom always told me that if I ever saw someone hurting, I had to promise to help them. So, I gently settle down next to you and tuck a strand of orange hair behind my ear, looking at you, a bit worried.

"Hey, what's wrong? I'm here for you," I gently assure you, calmer now from when I first found you. My voice was soft and my touch was gentle as I try to calm you. He needs my help right now. he needs someone. I'm going to stay right here. I'm not going to leave you alone.

I'm still crying when I hear the door creaking open. A girl I haven't seen before, with a face full of pure worry. Red flowing hair, bright ocean blue eyes, fair skin. A beauty, for a straight guy. 'Wait, I am strai- screw it. they can't like me for the way I am, they can suck it'

"Y-Yeah I'm fine, just a little down." I sniffle and use my coat sleeve to wipe my nose and then go into a hiccuping fit. Once that is calmed down, I speak again, "What's your name? I'm Alecksander, but call me Alecks. And thanks, you know, for stopping by and making me feel better. Get that worried look off your face, I swear it makes you look less beautiful."

'Wait, d-did I just call her beautiful? I didn't even notice it came out of my mouth! Oh...' I look into her eyes and put a weak smile on my face, trying t assure her that I truly am fine, and that she may leave if she wanted to. I lean my hand over onto her shoulder and just sigh. My eyes flutter shut and I relax, I relax and just breathe.

'She is beautiful. Inside and out.'

I smile softly, running my hand gently over your back, staying next to you as I make myself a bit more comfortable next to you on the cool stone ground. I look over, now able to see you better. A cute boy who had a lovely shade of lilac hair. It was very lovely.

"I'm Rariana. It's nice to meet you Alecks." I smile softly, blushing softly when I heard your compliment. "But, what's wrong? Why are you crying?" I ask, looking at you concerned. I feel your hand rest on my shoulder and I look down at you, before gently hugging you and humming softly.

I smile softly and hold you gently, settling against the wall. 'He's so nice, and gentle.' I sigh softly, relaxing against the stone wall. I open my eyes and look up at the opening in the ceiling and eyeing the stars above, sparkling softly. I loved the astronomy tower. 'He called me beautiful. He thinks I'm beautiful.' I look down at you, and my eyes soften, continuing to hold you, staying by your side.

"I'm right here Alecks. You can talk to me." I say softly. "Or we don't have to talk. We can just sit here. But I'm still right here," I smile softly.

'I'm  right here.'

"I- I... someone had said something that I found offensive, and then they practically yelled at me for being offended. It's stupid, you shouldn't even care. It was me being a little baby. I'm sorry you have to deal with me"

I pull my head off of her shoulder and stand up, thinking I would eventually get on her nerves and she would leave in a mad rush. Reaching into my satchel that's always around my shoulder, I pull out a brush, comb, and a bottle of Lusti Organics Olive Oil hair spray. The brush finds my hand and soon reunites with my hair. I can hear the brushes bristles going through the tangles in my hair. After the brush has completed it's job, I grab the Olive Oil and spray laboriously onto my hair. I push my finger down over and over until my hair is practically sopping with the stuff. Then my hand find the comb I had laid out and starts to comb through it. The combs teeth get stuck every now and then, but not way to often. I can feel the oil running down my back, so I shimmy over to the edge of the tower and let my hair be flapped around in the wind. Nice wind swept look to it, I think.
