Spooktastic Halloween Party!

What is this event about?

This spooktacular event is an event where you can head on over to the Grounds, there will be snacks, games, and you can even just come to the event to socialize. Games include... Tag, dueling! Dueling - Friendly and safe way to check how well you can use the spells you learned from class! Tag - A fun game where you chase someone and tag them, making them the tagger. The tagger's goal is to tag someone. Everyone else's goal is to try to avoid being tagged.

Decorations like this pumpkin can be expected!

You also get opportunities to socialize with your friends, you can also eat a few of the snacks there as well! This is also an opportunity to go talk to other people and potentially make a new friend! There will be snacks from Hogsmeade and snacks from the kitchens of Hogwarts as well(provided by the House elves.) You can also come to the party in a costume(optional) and really showcase your love for Halloween! And before we head off to our common rooms, we tell a few spooky stories, so prepare your best ideas! Not only that, but to those that are interested, you can come help prepare the party on the Grounds! We are looking for people who can create their own decorations, or use spells to make decorations! So if you want to help out in any way you can, that'd be magnificent!

What is Halloween?

Halloween(in modern day) is considered the spookiest day of the year, where children dress up and go 'trick or treating'¹. However, that's not everything Halloween has to offer, Muggles like to go to these locations and buildings which are temporarily named 'haunted houses'² and many more events.

1. Trick or treating is an activity in which people, typically children go around knocking on doors and wait for candy or some other treat.
2. A haunted house is a building designed to be scary and it usually has actors that dress up in a spooky manner that also tries to scare others.
