Unexpected Friendship
Gigi walked across the Hogwarts grounds. It was a breezy day, and even though the sun was shining, it was cold, and Gigi wrapped her arms around herself to converse heat. Fresh air filled her lungs as she took a deep breath.
It was so much different here than in Wales, and sometimes late at night Gigi would lay awake and imagine she was back at home. Overall, Gigi was doing okay, although she really didn't have all that many friends.
It would be nice to have someone to talk to...Gigi pulled out her wand and examined it. It felt like yesterday that she was standing inside of Ollivander's shop paying for her wand. Smiling, Gigi tucked her wand in her pocket. Gigi watched some older students run towards the forest. Two boys and a girl, laughing as their cloaks billowed out behind them.
Gigi sighed and sat down underneath a large tree. Now that she was thinking about it, friends sounded like a distant memory. She missed her friend Jackie. Gigi was almost 100% sure he was a Muggle. She remembered all their adventures together, including that one time she had nearly drowned in the lake.
Shaking her head, Gigi looked across the lake. There was a time for dwelling on the past, and a time for living in the present. She really wished she had someone to talk to, now more than ever.
The older kids she had seen earlier had disappeared. It was now more than ever tat she needed a friend.

Unexpected Friendship
It was a cold and breezy day when the young Girl walked across the Hogwarts grounds. Holly didn't mind the breezy, but she didn’t like it cold. Nope, not one bit. However, her brother was again hunting for a victim for his next experiment, and she preferred not to be the one. Nope, not this time. If it was a prank, she wouldn't mind, but experiment? God have mercy. He searched inside, so she stayed outside. Problem solved!
She looked around until her eyes stopped at a girl. This girl was sitting under a large tree. She looked nice and friendly. Maybe Holly should talk to her, maybe she will be a new friend. And Holly REALLY loved making friends. In her opinion, everybody should be direct, even if it seems a little strange. So, beating around the bush never really suited her. And with her Mindset and ready to make a new friend, she walked to that said girl.
"Hi, hello.”, with a big smile on her face, “I'm Holly. Holly Adams.”, she reached out her hand, ready to shake hands, “Who are you?" She patiently waits for a reaction, which does not matter to her, as long as she does not cast a spell on her or throw a stone at her. Or worse a stinky sock…

Unexpected Friendship
Gigi looked up at the sound of a girls' voice. "Hi, hello, I'm Holly. Holly Adams. Who are you?"
Gigi tugged on her sleeves, a nervous habit she'd always had. "Um, I'm Gigi. Gigi Montez. I'm in Ravenclaw...and I'm a first year. Are you a first year?"
Gigi reached for her wand, and Holly's eyes widened. "I'm not going to use it on you, silly!" Gigi laughed, and the Holly's face relaxed.
"I don't know any spells yet." Gigi thought with remorse. "I guess I just like having it with me, you know, as a sense of comfort."
The grounds were beautiful today, and the sun was just beginning to set. Gigi stood up, dusting off her robes. I wish I had my sketchbook...this would be the perfect picture. she thought. Well, maybe later. After all, it wasn't ever day you made new friends.
Gigi began to braid her hair, dusting pine needles off her hair sometimes. She thought of her cousin Ree, who was a complete master at talking to people. Just talking to Holly made her queasy, especially since she knew that here at Hogwarts, saying the wrong thing could cost you everything.
Gigi sincerely hoped she hadn't offended Holly in any way. Holly didn't seem like the type of person who would be insulted by a simple "hello", but you never really knew until it was too late.
She flipped her braid over her shoulder and snuck a glance at Holly. Holy didn't seem to be provoked, so Gigi relaxed.

Unexpected Friendship
“Yes, also in the first year, but I’m a Slytherin.”, Holly smiled. Gigi seems nervous. Was she too pushy again? Too excited? Too strange?
When Gigi took her wand Holly was taken aback, but calmed down, when Gigi explained herself. At first, she thought Gigi would react this way because she knew her family's bad reputation. But still, Gigi showed herself harmless, or at least not hostile, maybe she was shy? Extremely shy when she even pulls her wand. It's just a bit weird that she pulls it even though she can't spell it. But everyone has their habits, flaws, and quirks, and if it helps her not to get into a state of anxiety, so be it.
“You’re weird.” came from Holly all of a sudden, but it was the first thing that came to her mind when she watched Gigi's behavior. But she realized that this could be misunderstood and explained briefly, “That means it won't be boring with you.” And added, “That’s great.”
Holly already liked Gigi and hoped for a good friendship. She has always liked to make friends, even if it was not always easy, precisely because of her family. So, when she still didn't see a stone thrown in her direction. Or worse a stinky sock. She counted that as a good omen
