Hey, the seat next to me is free
Delilah was never exactly good at History Of Magic, or any subject on History, for all that mattered. She could never remember the dates and events that happened, though perhaps it might’ve been due to the fact that she never really cared to. Taking out her bag, she whisked out a small sketchbook she always left underneath her notebook, just in case she felt the need to doodle something.
“No point in taking notes, I’ll never look at it”, Delilah thought to herself, stifling out a small chuckle as she thought so. She tried to find something fun to do to pass the time, though there wasn’t really anything to do. She tried playing with her pen, clicking it constantly every five seconds and only to receive a few annoyed glares from a few fellow Ravenclaws. She tried looking out the window, trying to take a look at the scenery around but as her window was covered by an abnormally large tree, she couldn’t see a single thing.
Taking out her notebook, Delilah started doodling and scribbling down drawings, also running down the list of things she’d rather be doing instead of listening to the lecture.
“The professor was going on and on about some event that happened long ago, and whoever was present was probably dead by now. I can’t care less”, She thought. Skimming through the textbook, Delilah started annotating on the book, drawing directly onto the portraits of figures displayed inside.
After what seemed like forever, she saw a young boy, a bit taller than her, though she guessed he was around her age, made his way into class.
“He’s late”, she noted to herself, before waving her hands and gesturing to the only seat available- the one next to her.

The world is quiet here, and the air is full of the delicious aroma of freshly baked bread and mischief.

Hey, the seat next to me is free
24th October 2023 History of Magic Classroom
It wasn't often the young Hufflepuff was late to class. As a matter of fact, it had never happened before, he'd come close to it sure but never actually late. There wasn't a day when he didn't get up bright and early. No, he was practically always early to his classes even if that meant leaving breakfast or lunch early.
Well, this time it was not to be— courtesy of himself. Forgetting his homework in the library, truly a classic, was definitely not a part of his plans, but it happened nonetheless. Being late was definitely better than almost certainly getting detention for failing to turn in his homework, however. Or so he thought. That much was still up for fate to decide— or the professor.
Still panting from borderline running down the corridors, Harley barged into the classroom, albeit as modestly as he could. "Sorry Professor," he sighed wearily, abruptly interrupting her lecture, drawing the gaze of all his fellow students. His eyes scanned the room for a place to sit, the whole class gawking at him. Hardly a surprise, but still not very much appreciated. While it took a moment, he noticed a Ravenclaw gesturing at the seat beside her.
Without a second thought, he marched over and took a seat beside the raven-haired girl. Glancing over with a soft smile, he immediately noticed her violet eyes. "Hey." They were pretty cool, it had to be said. "I like your eyes." Violet was a lovely colour, though not as good as orange. Naturally. His smile grew slightly as he began to rummage through his backpack, quickly retrieving a quill and a piece of parchment to take notes on.
