@Helena Rose Still Min-min here, please
The world is in despair not because there are many bad people, but because there are many good people who do nothing.

My owls are always opened if you wanna talk about any rebellious things or help with like development if that makes senseAstra Norrick wrote: 30 Oct 2023, 02:41Oh my goodness yes yes yes all of the above!!Helena Rose wrote: 30 Oct 2023, 02:38Oh I agree with a hundred percent for sure! I mean I have some things planned for Lena mainly first year and second rather not burn out so soon. So totally not crazy I have the same thought process many people tend to do things differently but how I see it which sounds totally insane in a way is these are our character we control their lives and their actions like a big game of sims for them. So when we make a mistake they gotta live with it and how we roll with it can make it or break it. But at the same time this is not our story but our characters story their childhood their family life their friends their heartbreak it all falls on us as the writer to help them process but also think how would they process these scenarios will they break under pressure or pull through it is all interesting to think the less, but the story is really not ours but theirs if that makes any sense at all.Astra Norrick wrote: 30 Oct 2023, 02:24 Fully agree, Lena, fully agree. Honestly writing any character is a learning process cos it's like yes this person lives in your head and technically you can change them however you want but you also want to let them breathe and have their own story and let them be them yk? Idk I probably sound crazy but that's my personal experience with characters, they just kinda tell their own story
Also Hellllllooooooooo Simon and Maverick hope you all are amazing today![]()
I have like one writer friend irl but they're still learning this concept so I don't really have anyone to chat with about my very rebellious characters who don't really like to do what I tell them to lol
Heya Renelle

I'm a writer but honestly went out of touch after the stress of exams and lockdown, so I'm relearning a lot of character building skills
that said, what special race would be fun to rp

Awe Thank you, Xailah. >///< It's wonderful to know that a great writer like you likes my character and my writing. :3Xailah Alptraum wrote: 30 Oct 2023, 00:46EmmaLee LeDames wrote: 30 Oct 2023, 00:28 Not gonna lie, EmmaLee isn't quite a self insert, but she is a bit of wish fulfillment. She is the type of child I wish I could have been, with a childhood I wish I could have had. A peaceful, happy one.
She has some of my flaws, strengths, interests, parts of my personality that I like and dislike,
But she also has a lot of those traits that are wildly different from me.
She is one of two characters I created as a teenager than I generally roleplay with.
AhhhhI totally get where you are coming from girlie, and I firmly believe that is probably one of the best ways to use a character. EmmaLee is a terribly cute character, and she has an amazing writer behind her. Roleplaying in general is just a great way to heal that inner child of yours, and explore different lives through the use of a character. It's not self-insertion, it's healing in a way.
Love reading everyone's replies, you all are some very interesting individuals with equally interesting characters!

Special races are pretty sweet
and hi hi! I'm struggling with a broom racing banner right now - determined to get one that's acceptable before I give up!

I might do seer with my next character, but I wanted the freedom of picking all EmmaLee's skills this round.
Being a seer is pretty central to his character already.
