Not gonna lie, EmmaLee isn't quite a self insert, but she is a bit of wish fulfillment. She is the type of child I wish I could have been, with a childhood I wish I could have had. A peaceful, happy one.

She has some of my flaws, strengths, interests, parts of my personality that I like and dislike,
But she also has a lot of those traits that are wildly different from me.

She is one of two characters I created as a teenager than I generally roleplay with.

Somehow, I have not.

Ava is very temperamental and isn’t very good at school, whereas I think I’m a chill crackhead, and I get good grades and do extra credit whenever possible.

I’m sure @Charlie Jacobsen and @Sage Willows agree.

Ahhhh I totally get where you are coming from girlie, and I firmly believe that is probably one of the best ways to use a character. EmmaLee is a terribly cute character, and she has an amazing writer behind her. Roleplaying in general is just a great way to heal that inner child of yours, and explore different lives through the use of a character. It's not self-insertion, it's healing in a way.

Love reading everyone's replies, you all are some very interesting individuals with equally interesting characters!
