bailey started heavily inspired by me, and while we both do have many simular things like taekwondo, piano, etc she and i have our differences (she is so much of an extrovert and i am split in the middle pretty much between intro/extrovert. she has grown as a person just like i've grown as a writer, and i think that it worked out pretty well for us!
XD and she's had a lot more bf/date/crushes than i have loll never been on a date before - so writing that part of her is deff interesting. i love writing it though!

Couldn't help but hop on the character question bandwagon (I'd tag you Kyle, since it was your question, but I feel horribly awkward doing so ), I love answering these kinds of things!

Xail is the farthest possible thing from a self-insert (I am definitely not a goth mirror-hopping eldritch catgirl possessing the will to fight God- that's her canon setting for context). I never did the self-insert thing, even when I was younger, the concept was very foreign to me because I have the mindset of "why would I want to play myself? I'm here to play a character!". Nothing against inserts by the way, so long as there is a very clear understanding of IC and OOC boundaries between users. Xail is spontaneous, curious, sensual, and extremely eccentric; whereas I am probably the most laid-back and mellow person you will ever meet. I have the emotional range of a goddamned baked bean, I'm not even joking. Do we have similarities? Yeah I mean I'm big on macabre themes and goth aesthetics, but in general I enjoy visually loud or eye-catching aesthetics. It's only natural that I will apply them to all of my OCs because I enjoy them (not to mention, they're incredibly fun to draw). But yeah, that's something you'll find with most of my OCs, they're heavily inspired by material and subjects I am actively interested in, rather than aspects of myself.

For me, Bailey and I honestly had our differences from the beginning, but part of that wa slack of experience on my part. Honestly I probably could have and maybe should have started over with a new character, but I’m glad I stayed with Bailey. I did make some character changes like behavior wise, she grew up a bit and is more mature, but so I am. We’ve grown up together, in a way, and she’s kinda my little sister it that makes sense. There are times that I wish I was her but ultimately I’m glad I’m me and she is herself, and it works!
