Pranks can get you friends
@Holly AdamsAndrea’s last class for today had just finished and she was finding herself in the corridors. She hadn’t learned a lot today, but she had met many nice people. She was now walking around in the long corridors looking for the way to the great hall. There was always people there to talk to or delicious food to eat. Two things Andrea loved. The corridors was not as crowded as they usually were so it was hard trying to find people to follow to the great hall. Andrea didn’t have a map and she had no idea what way she was supposed to go to get there. She usually followed people that was on their way to the same place as her, but now she couldn’t seem to find anyone who was on their way to the great hall. She looked around looking for people to ask. It didn’t come to her mind asking them what way the great hall was. She only asked them if they also were heading to the great hall. She walked around trying to find someone to follow for a while until she gave up. She sat down on the hard and cold stone floor. She sat there and looked at the few students walking past her. They all quickly looked at her before walking past her. That was fine though, Andrea didn’t care if she was being looked at or judged. She looked at her shoes and reached to grab one of her shoe laces. It seemed to be less people in the corridors each time Andrea looked around. Her hope in finding her way to the great hall slightly faded away. It was fine, she could sit here for a while, she thought to herself a little sad and started to tie her shoe. After she had tied both her shoes she stood up and said to herself, “no I can’t sit her and wait.” it was too boring for her. No way she would just sit and wait for someone to tell her the right way to the great hall. Andrea looked around and decided to walk to the right. That was hopefully the right way to the great hall!
It wasn’t! Andrea ran and ran, but couldn’t seem to find any way leading to the great hall. She was lost. Lost at Hogwarts! Hogwarts was probably the worst place you could get lost. There was so many corridors and rooms and almost no signs that showed what way to go. She gave up and stoped trying to find the right way. She had asked a few students if they knew what way the great hall was, but they didn’t know neither. Most first years got lost at Hogwarts at least one time and I guess it was Andrea’s turn now. She sat down again on the cold stone floor just this time in another corridor.
After only 10 minutes of boredom she decided she wanted to do a prank on someone to have a little fun and to make time pass by faster. She looked around trying to spot a person. There was a Slytherin girl walking towards her. She looked like a first year and she had long blonde hair. Perfect, Andrea though to herself walking slowly towards the girl. She reached for something in her left pocket. It was something she had bought when she was in Diagon Alley. She had visited to go to her favorite store, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes. They had so much cool prank things. She looked at the girl and opened her hand. The colorful round balls feel on the floor and the second they hit the ground many big bangs could be heard. Boom! Boom! Bang! Andrea knew what would happen so she ran away from the explosion as quick as she could. It wasn’t dangerous, just really really loud! There was about five other students in the same corridor and all of them turned around to the Slytherin girl with startled faces. Andrea was also looking at the girl and it seemed to her that the blonde Slytherin girl was the only person in the room that knew that Andrea was the reason for all of this noise.

Pranks can get you friends
Holly was lost. Normally, she'd follow her brother, but she couldn't find him. On the other hand, she didn't want to be around him, because he's been having lots of experimental "ideas" lately. She has been a guinea pig at home enough times, here in Hogwarts, the others are allowed to take this "comfortable" position. It was clear that she did not mind pranking, tricking, or joking. No, she found it super funny, even if it was her who was tricked or pranked or even joked about, but experiments... These were not very funny, basically because the point was not to have fun or laugh about it but to explore and figure things out.
In this one corridor, for it was certainly the fifth time she had walked through, still looking for the great hall, and still not finding it. There was this Hufflepuff girl with short, brown hair. She had the same sparkle in her eye as her brother when he was up to something that would cost her mother the last nerve. She ignored it.
Boom! Boom! Bang!
She shrieked, but when she realized it was a prank, she started laughing. "You got me!" She brought out, "That was a good one!" but right after that, she went off again laughing. While the other students looked at her puzzled. When she saw the looks, she tried to calm herself and get it together. She looked at the girl who pranked her and said, “Anyway, I’m lost, do you maybe know where the Great Hall is?”, she knew that was a weird move, but at least she had the attention to ask questions.
Meanwhile, she could finally look at the girl more clearly; she had dark green eyes. Very beautiful. Holly liked Green Eyes and wished she had too, just like those of her mother, but she had blue ones, like her brother and her father. Anyway, that girl looked nice enough, maybe a new friend to get?

When the girl started laughing Andrea was shocked. It wasn’t often people found it funny to be pranked. She was happy the girl wasn’t mad though. She smiled at the girl and laughed awkwardly. The other students stared at them with judging looks. “Thanks”, Andrea said to the girl ignoring the people around them. The students probably knew by now that Andrea was the one that did the prank. They could judge her as much as they wanted, she didn’t care. The Slytherin girl found it funny and that was all that mattered.
“I’m also looking for the great hall. I have no idea what way to go.” she answered the girl. “I have asked a few people for the way, but they didn’t answer me or they just simply didn’t know” Hopefully the girl knew what to do, how to find the way. “Oi, I'm Holly, Holly Adams.”, she introduced herself to Andrea, and kept her happy smile while saying, “Nice meeting you too.” And take the reached-out hand to shake them. “I was afraid you wouldn't know where to go either.” She sighed.
She was about to start to think about an idea when she noticed that the other students were still staring at her, "Can I help you?" but then they quickly looked the other way and left in a hurry, "And they're trying to tell me I'm the weird one."
She rolled her eyes and turned her attention back to Andrea. "Usually, I just followed my older brother.” whereupon she smiles nervously, "But I can't find him. And right now, I'd rather not go to find him.” Not if he's still looking for a guinea pig. She hopes that Andrea accepts this.
“How did you usually find the Great Hall?” Maybe Andrea remembers some detail that could be a clue. She was unfortunately always too busy not to lose her brother in the crowd than paying attention to the environment. He was a fast walker and far too agile, so he almost managed to meander like a snake through a crowd of people. It went so far that one could sometimes wonder how this was physically possible.

Pranks can get you friends
Holly was a pretty name Andrea though to herself. The name suited the girl. Andrea looked tired at Holly and answer her, “I usually follow people that are heading the same way as me. If I don’t find anyone I just walk around trying to find the way on my own.” Andrea wasn’t shy and she didn’t find it embarrassing asking people for the way. It was a normal thing for her, asking strangers when she had a question she thought they could answer. she liked talking to people. Even people she didn’t know. When she followed them she obviously didn’t make it a creepy thing. She asked them if they were heading to the same place as her and after that she asked if she could follow them. People were usually fine with it and said yes. Andrea was a first year so it wasn’t weird she didn’t always know the way.

At least she wasn’t alone, she smiled and answered, “Better than standing here and doing nothing about it.” and looked around “Maybe we'll find a ghost to ask or a painting.” Apart from other first-year students, there was hardly anyone else around this time. “Which way do we want to start?”
“At least we don't miss any more classes.” They had all the time in the world if she wasn’t so hungry, but only now did she notice something important, “Wait. Holly was a genius, or at least smarter than Andrea. “Smart, a painting must know the way.” she smiles. “Let’s go to the left.” It was a long corridor with about 5 oak doors and it looked like it was a staircase at the end. This was hopefully the right way! Andrea didn’t want to be blamed for choosing the wrong direction if they decided to go to the left.
The two girls stood there talking for a bit and Andrea was waiting for Holly to agree or disagree on going to the left. Holly asked Andrea some questions and she answered. “Yeah.” Andrea laughs smiling at Holly. They weren’t in a hurry so it wasn’t a problem talking to each other for a while and getting to know each other. “I don’t know. I haven’t seen you before neither.” Andrea answered Holly not knowing if she was supposed to know Holly or not. “Maybe we aren’t in the same classes together?” Andrea didn’t know what to say. Was Holly supposed to know who she was? Andrea did do pranks in classes that she didn’t find interesting like transfiguration. “Are you in any of my classes?” Andrea asked feeling bad for not knowing. “Okay, then we go to the left.” Even if they went in the wrong direction or got further lost, at least she wasn't alone. Her sense of direction was done for today, clocked out, and most likely will quit in the next few days. So, everything looked the same to her, as if she were in a labyrinth. Which is why she let Andrea decide. Because if she were to decide which direction they should go, they would end up in Australia. At least Holly wouldn't be surprised.

Pranks can get you friends
Not knowing if Holly was mad or not Andrea answer her, “yeah, that’s me.” she said with a calm voice. Trying her best to hide her nervousness. This was hopefully not a reason for Holly not to like her. The prank in transfiguration class was funny right? And no one was harmed.
Andrea hadn’t noticed Holly in transfiguration or the other classes they had together. She was a little embarrassed when she heard that they had classes together. Andrea sat in the back so maybe it wasn’t that weird she hadn’t noticed Holly. This was all still really new to her so most of the time she didn’t pay attention to the other students. The classrooms was so interesting to look around in. All the old furniture and small magic things. It was to beautiful not to be noticed. When she walked around in the corridors she would often bump into people because she would look at other things like the cool paintings or a cool statue.
Maybe Andrea wasn’t ever going to be the best at pranking people, but she could still dream. And she often made people laugh when she pranked people and that was a good sign. Pranks weren’t the only thing she liked to do, so if she couldn’t do pranks she had other things to do. Pranks wasn’t the only thing she was good at neither. She loved art and cooking too.
“Should we start walking?” she asks Holly. “I want to find the way before night time.” she adds. Going around Hogwarts at night must be so scary Andrea thinks to herself. And if a teacher saw them around in the corridors at night they would probably both lose a lot of house points. So, it was Andrea, Holly had to smile, "You have talent.”, She truly believed that Andrea would make it pretty far as a Prankster, “Your pranks are funny.” Still smiling she got the feeling Andrea was getting nervous, was it because of her?
Holly was not so conspicuous; In the lessons, she was always very immersed in the subject matter. She was often much too focused to do everything right and was therefore rather quiet. Leaving aside the explosion in potion last Wednesday, she really never was particularly noticeable. But she doesn't mind if Andrea hasn't noticed her.
She would never interfere in someone's wishes, dreams, or goals nor would she expect someone to be the best in Anything. For Holly, her brother was just an enormous role model, and couldn't help but see him as an all-rounder.
“Of course, let's go. I still want to sleep in my own bed if possible.” She chuckled and started walking. So, if they manage to get somewhere, she'd be happy. She really doesn't want to be here at night. She wasn't afraid of the dark, but she didn't want to risk a jump scare with a teacher and lose points. If her brother found out, he wouldn't stop teasing her and she would never hear the end of it.
