"YEEEEEEEEK!!"

Dan was relentless! Colin was hardly able to think any more --- his brain was overloaded --- couldn't think straight! Everything was a blur. Colin's entire body felt like it was being tickle attacked. How much more could he take?

Colin tried to squirm, but that only made things worse as Dan redoubled his relentless onslaught! Colin knew he was in trouble when Dan shoved his feet into Colin's face and chest, but there was nothing he could do! Dan was stronger, and Colin was so weakened! He felt his body being flipped over. Dan pinned his legs! Oh crap! Colin's mind was sluggish and slow to react. Only too late did Colin realise that his arms were free! Dan grabbed those and pinned his arms and hips with his hands.

Colin looked up at Dan. He tried to shift himself, but it was no good! His legs were locked! His arms held firm! Colin could only wonder what would come next --- how could Dan do anything to him? His own arms and legs were tied up holding Colin down as he tried to wriggle out of the stronger boy's grasp!

"Wh--- You're full of it Palmer! What are you talking about, prepare for my doom?" Colin was glad for the respite. The last minutes had been torture! He tried to catch his breath. Tried to think of a way to break away from Dan's solid grasp.

Dan took a very deep breath. He leaned forward. All Colin could see was his messy black hair. Colin squirmed instinctively! The Irish boy was up to something! Some trick! He blew a raspberry on Colin's belly --- NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! The Renfrew Raspberry!

Colin shrieked in tickly agony. All he could do was laugh and shriek until his stomach hurt! And Dan kept at it! Over and over --- Colin began to feel light headed as surely he lost more air to laughing than he was able to get in. Not that he would ever surrender to the boy, but he couldn't have even if he wanted to! Every breath in was instantly converted to shrieks and howls of laughter!

Colin's voice came out at last as a weakened squeak: "Stop it! I give up! YEEEEEEEEEEEKK!! I said I give up!" Sometimes a tactical retreat is the best way to advance!

Dan smirked. Colin surrendered victory in the Tickle Fight to him. He continued tormenting Colin's stomach for another 2 minutes before he finally stopped and got off of him. Now Colin knew better than to challenge him to a tickle war. Now, to finish the duel.

"Get up, ye Highland langer. We got a duel ta finish."

Then he smirked again.

"Well, I got a duel ta finish. Ye have another fight ta lose."

He narrowed his eyes.

"Well, not really a fight, More like.... flailing angrily."

He walked over to the devastated boy, and gave Colin's face a slight shake with his foot.

"Get up 'n get yer wand. We aint through here. Ye have a different duel ta lose on toppa this tickle duel."

Dan retook his place on the dueling platform, but he didn't walk. Oh no. He turned into his Falcon form, and flew over to it, before turning back and standing, waiting for his prey to join him.

Dan blinked. No, Colin was an opponent. Not prey. Though... he was clearly the predator here. Colin stood no chance and they both knew it. Or at least dan THOUGHT they both knew it. Colin certainly didn't act like it though... Oh well. If he didn't know, he would very soon.

Colin lay back on the floor for a long while, panting. Whoa. The tickle fight had been brutal! He knew he was good at it, but Dan was clearly the better man! Mind you, Colin thought, I'm never gonna tell him that! In fact, Colin felt pretty good about it. All things considered, he had done pretty well. He got in some good moves and sprang a few surprises. But in the end of it all, he had gone up against a fifth year boy! He loss was almost a foregone conclusion: Dan was clearly more experienced as well as bigger and stronger.

Dan stood over him as caught his breath. "Pfft. Highland langer is it?" Dan smirked and narrowed his eyes. Colin looked up at his opponent towering over him. Flailing angry! Colin thought, as Dan nudged Colin's face with his foot. He considered off one of Dan's toes, but that might get him sent to Azkaban for trying to turn him.

He settled for a smack instead. "Alright, I'm getting up ye Irish tosser!" Colin got up and fetched his wand. He watched as Dan turned into a falcon and flew back onto the piste. He smirked. "I'll singe yer feathers, bird brain," he muttered before Dan transformed back into a boy. Colin hopped up onto the piste, shook out his hair and said: "Ready lose, Danny Boy?"

Dan waited for Colin to come up, but he had heard what he said before he returned to a human form. Apparently, Colin was going to singe his feathers.

"Ha. With the aim you've been showing so far, I doubt ye could hit me if I held still still for ya."

He saw that Colin did not put his shirt back on, nor did he make any move to retrieve his shoes. An... odd choice, considering he just lost a tickle duel.
Then again, in his haste to show off, Dan had forgotten his shirt as well.
And to anyone watching, what had just occurred might have looked kind of like they were...

Dan shook his head. Sure, Colin was cute just like him, mischievous like him, and even a barefooter like him, but...
..... The more Dan thought about it, the less he could find as a reason as to why he wouldn't want to date Colin. They were even both extremely ticklish.

This was not the time for that though. This was the time for putting Colin in his place for his grievous insult.

"Me, lose to YOU? Ye just lost a tickle fight with me, ye Highland Bellend. Id like ta know what hope ye think ye have."

Dan readied his spell. He knew what he was going to use.

Colin smirked at Dan's rejoinder. He was in for it now. He hopped back up onto the piste and skipped over to his place across from Dan. The older boy was watching him, maybe trying to figure Colin out. The loss of the tickle fight stung, but really, what did Colin expect? Dan was older by a couple years and stronger. And he had that dratted Irish death raspberry. That was a low trick to spring that on a lad! Colin sniffed derisively. Of course, he'd remember that trick for some future time!

He had a chance to look Dan over properly now. He was a little taller, certainly more muscular. That explained his obvious advantage at tickle wrestling. Colin nodded slightly. At least he had held his own against the other Slytherin! Colin was more impressed how Dan had mastered his animagus form. A falcon! Brilliant! Colin hoped to learn that one day. He wondered what sorts of spells his adversary knew. Probably twice as many as he himself!

Colin smirked. Well, he'd gotten himself into this mess, and he was determined to see it through. Even it meant flying out of this room with a pair of wings growing out of his back! It was time to show Palmer what he was capable of. Dan couldn't resist another taunt. Colin remained silent. He knew what he was going to do. "Alright ye bloody git. Enough chat!"

He held his wand ready. "Aye! Lose to me, fake Slytherin!" Colin laughed. "Wait! We need someone to moderate. Make sure ye don't try any Irish shenanigans!" Colin looked around the place. He didn't even think there might be other people in the duelling club that might see him and Dan scrumming on the piste. "Oi! Hufflepuff lassie!" he called out towards the girl. She looked like a first year. Perfect! "I'm Colin. This is Dan. Can you come over for a few minutes while I put this lad in his place? We just need ye to moderate our little duel!"

Like any First Year, Alyssea took the chance to explore the castle. She'd spent almost two weeks here and she still found herself lost within its corridors. How could a castle that housed only a few hundred students be so huge? And how could it house so many wonderful rooms?

(She had just been to the Rehearsal Room and mentally claimed it as her own.)

A few doors down from the Rehearsal Room stood an innocent door that Alyssea decided to have a peak in. Already, she counted herself unlucky to be suddenly whipped into watching a duel (what did the guy call it? Moderating?) in whatever this place was called. She said yes without much thought. While this would technically be her first time ever watching a duel, she thought herself mature and intelligent enough to know when to call it off if chaos went down.

Of course, everything these guys did amazed Alyssea. She had just started with the basics of spell casting, but these guys were seasoned wizards. They all chanted spells that Alyssea had never heard of. Mimblewimble sounded like a fun incantation; what did it do? She could only watch in awe as the spells fired and headed towards their targets. If they hit, she'd figure out what they'd each do.

But these people were quick on their feet. Alyssea watched as Colin skillfully dodged without a sweat. She couldn't help the gasp that came out. Dan was no different and dodged just as gracefully as Colin did. Welp, it looked like she wouldn’t figure out what those spells would be.

Hm. He dodged it.
Annoying as that was, Dan gave Colin a bit of credit. He actually managed to dodge something.
That luck wouldn't last him forever though. Colin would fall eventually. It really was only a matter of time.

When Colin brought in someone, Dan's eyes flew sideways and locked on the new judge the second he detected movement. One of the traits he inherited from his animagus was the way falcons suddenly lock their eyes on movement and stare until they are satisfied.

Afterward, he turned his attention back to the barefooted, shirtless snow-haired boy.

"Tremblin' yet, flea bait? Started to realize how in over yer head ye are? Maybe learned not ta talk shite ye can't back up?"

Dan smirked with unshakeable confidence, and a bit of arrogance. In this circumstance, Dan thought it was okay to have a SMALL bit of arrogance.
But to look at his eyes, one would see the eyes of a predator. A falcon with its eyes set on a field mouse. Ever since he achieved his animagus, Dan's eyes had taken on a much more icy, piercing look to them. Often times, it would look like he was sizing you up, deciding whether or not to swoop into you and rip your throat out. This only was when he was serious, of course. Moments which were decreasing in regularity as of late.

Surely to a "hunter" like Colin, Dan's look and aura of a predator playing with a mouse that has no hope of surviving would not go unnoticed.
Truly, Dan was barely even aware of the change. The traits would be like second nature to him, as they were to every animagus.

Dan readied his wand to cast again. This one wouldn't miss.
Doing the thing.

Alyssea watched as Dan sent a comment towards Colin. She dared not to respond to it since, of course, she knew nothing about either of them. With their first spells she saw having missed, she was excited to see what they'd throw out again.

The familiar incantation of Rictusempra came back. She hoped this time the spell would hit. Where would you learn that spell? Alyssea was still learning the most basic spells and she'd never heard this one. Though the sparks were a bit weak, Dan was still able to conjure the silver charm.

Did Colin have a superpower for dodging or something? Because, for the second time in a row, he dodged like it was a regular Tuesday afternoon. Crazy, it was.

But even with the miraculous and flawless dodge, Colin stood frozen in his spot. Alyssea raised an eyebrow and waved her arm. "Okay, stop for a second. You okay?" She asked Colin. Was it nerves? Probably not, right? He dodged without thinking and, somehow, that included mind-blanking on his next spell.

Alyssea cleared her throat. "If you're still good to continue, just raise your wand... or something. Give a shout."

She was ready to step onto the piste and take a hit. She might come to regret that decision later, but sometimes Hufflepuff loyalty ran deeper than potential pain, even for a bunch of strangers.

And with that, she waited.

Colin shook his head like a dog. Drat! The first year umpire, Alyssea, was saying something. He must have drifted off! He didn't even hear Dan cast a spell! Yet somehow he'd managed to evade it! Well, that was something to be thankful for! Colin knew he was in a pickle since he'd called Dan a fake Slytherin, and while that remained objectively so, it was clear that the older boy was going to punish him for saying it!

Colin let out a breath. He nodded towards Alyssea. "Yeah. I'm okay. I reckon actually facing Dan wand to wand is just a bit overwhelming!" He raised his wand briefly and got ready to go again. He knew Palmer would be a tough nut to crack so he'd have to hit hard! Set him on fire or something! Make him dance his Irish feet right out of the room with an Irish jig! Colin laughed softly.

Colin didn't know much about being an animagus, though he really hoped he would be able to some day! Clearly it changed a lad, perhaps in ways that being a wolf changed him. He recognised the look of the hunter. He smirked. Colin didn't know if he'd win or lose, but he certainly wasn't going to be intimidated like a mouse! The look of arrogance, though. That was something he hadn't seen in the older boy before.

Well, his animagus form was a bird-brained falcon, right?

It was difficult, but Colin collected himself and stood up straight against Dan. Not with arrogance, but with determination. Whatever had just happened to him wasn't going to happen again! He readied himself for his next spell and prepared to cast!

The canine boy dodged... And then just stood there.
Dan was noticeably confused by this. He didn't have the most experience in wizard duels, but he was reasonably certain that standing still and not casting a spell was not something you did. It didnt matter though; he had neglected to do anything, it was a positive for Dan.

However. This Ultra Instinct bullshit Colin was showing off began to get a little tiresome. Perhaps a show of power would put his prey back in it's place.

"Just gonna stand there are ya, McCoire? Fine with me, little rabbit. If you're so petrified by my presence, just quit and spare Alyssea her time wasted."

The hunter readied his wand once again to cast. This little Highland shitbag wanted to talk about him being false, when Colin clearly belonged in Gryffindor. In fact-

"Is it starting to set in yet, McCoire? How in over your head you are? Huh. A stupid decision made by carelessly talking shite, and confusing stupidity for bravery when accepting a duel challenge from me? Sounds to me like you belong in Gryffindor."

Dan eyes narrowed icily, clearly the eyes of a falcon, and a hint of sadism crept into his voice.
"And I'd be more than happy to demonstrate to a misplaced Gryffindor just how out of his depth he is."
