I can smell a lot of things. You're just calling it weird because your nose is too small to smell people's breath from across the room.

The squid and I are pretty good friends. I feed it kids who don't listen every now and then, and it fills up my ink pot. This could be squid ink I'm writing with, and you wouldn't even know. If you think about it, you don't really ever know what's in the ink. What if it's black blood from some evil rat?

You do not! The squid would never eat a kid! That's not possible. Plus, if you were writing with squid ink, wouldn't it smell like fish!? What's black blood from an evil rat? Is that really a thing, or are you making it up and trying to make me feel dumb for not knowing about your stupid magical creatures because I'm a second year?

How would you know? Have you ever seen it not eat a kid? Have you ever seen it eat one? And why would a squid smell like fish? Wouldn't it smell like squid? But fishy squids aside, an evil rat is just a rat that's evil, with blood that someone changed to look black. It's not a magical creature or anything, although it would be cool if it was.
