ᴘʟᴀᴄᴇ. Hogwarts Express
Sebastian held on tight onto his mama's hand, overwhelmed by the amount of people crowding the train station. His dad was the one who pushed his cart for him, as it was stacked with about three suitcases that were filled with his clothes, books, and other necessities for school.
Ever since he got his Hogwarts letter, he had been so excited to go; but now that it was just hours away before he would arrive at the castle, he was afraid. He had never been away for so long from his parents, and when he was, it was only for an hour or so. So going away for months, learning to be a big boy and be by himself was... nerve-wracking to say the least.
"You'll be alright, anak (son)," Mama said, "It will be fun! New lessons, new friends, soon you won't need us anymore!" Seb frowned up at his mama, opening his mouth to retort but she cut him off. " And if you still feel lonely and miss us, we're just an owl away, right dad?"
Sebastian's dad perked up, content to just watch his wife and son interact, and nodded his head. "Yup, you can tell us everything and anything you want, and we'll answer back with as many chocolates as you want."
Mama glared at her husband for a second before turning back to Sebastian. "See? Nothing to be afraid of. Just remember to be a good boy and–"
"And don't do anything stupid, I know mama." He finished with a sheepish smile.
The train conducter yelled for all the students to board and Sebastian was once again filled with nervousness. He looked at his parents for comfort and saw two loving and proud smiles directed at him. He hugged them tight, said his last goodbyes and 'I love you's and boarded the train.
Sebastian picked an empty carriage to sit in, peeking out the window to see his parents wave at him. He relaxed and leaned back on the seat, trying to calm his racing heartbeat.
His adventure to Hogwarts has just begun!

Is it anxiety or am I just excited?
Gigi grabbed Nana's hand. All these people, the noise they made, it was all too overwhelming. Nana smiled.
"I still remember my first day, my dove. The nerves will go away soon." Nana said.
Pa looked over, pushing her cart. "So do I. Everyone gets first day nerves, Gigi."
Gigi bit her lip. No matter what Nana and Pa said, the butterflies wouldn't fly away. Too many people for her. Gigi had wanted to arrive early, before the crowds, but Nana and Pa had a hard time getting a ride. Gigi was perfectly fine with that. As long as she could find an empty compartment, she would be okay.
Tsking her trunk by the handle, Gigi hugged Nana tightly.
"Dove, you'll be alright. There are very nice people out there, on that train, just waiting for a sweet, smart girl like you to say 'hello'."
"I'd rather read." Gigi muttered. It was true. The only thing better than Hogwarts was Hogwarts in the books she'd read.
Pa kissed her forehead. "Don't forget to write to us, Gigi. I want to hear everything."
"Yes, Pa, I know. I won't forget." Gigi responded with a smile.
Taking a shaky first step toward the train, Gigi stepped aboard the scarlet train.
She had no doubt that she would be fine in all her classes, but it was the students she was worried about. Gigi would much rather read an exciting tale of dragons than converse with the kids.
Turning around one last time, Gigi blew a kiss to Nana and Pa and disappeared into the crowd. Lugging her two trunks behind her, Gigi checked every cabin for an empty one. The best she could find was one with a boy inside, looking out the window.
Gigi took a deep breath. She obviously did not want to keep searching for an empty cabin, but talking to the boy was nerve wracking to say the least.
Despite her fears, Gigi pushed open the door and stuck her head in.
"Excuse me, can I sit here?"
Cringing at her distinct Welsh accent, Gigi anxiously awaited his answer.

Her mind was lost in the thoughts of plots, escaping reality at whatever the cost.
