Appearance:
Despite his young age, puberty is striking early. While he's sprouted like the proverbial beanstalk, he lacks the muscle or mass to be anything but preteen. His youthful face has sharpened like a freshly whetted dagger, but the wide, bright eyes speak to his immaturity. He's a boy stuck on the threshold, moving slow so he doesn't trip over himself. Voice cracks? Front and center. Naturally taciturn, this is hardly an issue, but it has a habit of rearing it's ugly head whenever he speaks more than a handful of words.
He's broad shouldered, his length primarily focused in his torso. His legs are still short and stocky, and provide him a powerful center of gravity - but in contrast, his arms are almost awkwardly long.
Typically, his rich brown hair will be pulled back into a low ponytail, the long strands kept neatly away from his eyes - eyes so brown as to nearly be coal black.
His magical aptitude appeared, as is common, during a youthful tantrum. The reason for it has been forgotten, but he cracked the front door in half and, from there, his parents began home schooling him until such a time as he received his letter from Hogwarts.
They found this suited their son, who had many social deficiencies: he hated crowds; he had trouble making eye contact; touch made him distinctly uncomfortable, and as such his need for personal space was... defined. Homeschooling was perfect, though, as he got closer to his 11th birthday, they started taking him out to large gatherings like Quidditch matches, just to get him a bit more acclimated.
How much it helped? Who's to say. But he's anxious to start learning from real professors, instead of just his parents. Still, both he and his parents are happy he outgrew the emotional instability of his youth, though this can often leave him appearing to lack personality - or that he's unreasonably gruff. The lack of display isn't a lack thereof, merely a boy who keeps his emotions on a tight leash.
This is, notably, reflected in the Hazel wood of his wand, which is known for wielder's with strong mental control over their emotions.

Corvus' upbringing is, by his own admission, bland. His father was the seeker for the Ballycastle Bats, but concussions saw him sidelined to being the Floor Supervisor for a Broom Making operation in Dublin.
