A chance to unwind
As the great oak doors creaked and groaned as they swung open exposing Flynn to the wonders that were the Hogwarts library. A wondrous hotpot of chaos and cleanliness, the books wizzing through the air overhead giving the illusion of mayhem and carnage however a closer inspection of the shelves and tables lined with students of varying ages all entranced in either the homework or books of leisure showed that at least the bottom half of the library had remained in peace.
As Flynn wandered through the library he was amazed to see that the books flying overhead where actually moving with an owl like silence so despite the amount of books flying through the air the students below wouldn't even hear a peep. The somewhat eerie stillness that was permanently placed upon the area would have seemed off putting in almost any other scenario, however, the calming glow of the various candles hanging or floating in the air and the warm oaky scent that wafted from the wood furnishings gave the library a humble and peaceful vibe to it. The perfect location for Flynns newest escapade, researching the various beasts that roamed the magical world.
While most would've opted to use their fresh new copies of 'fantastic beasts and where to find them', Flynn decided to go the unconventional route and searched for a earlier edition of the book, after a few moments of searching he had landed on a copy that was in the early stages of being forgotten, a light film of dust appearing on its facade luckily for Flynn the books integrity had remained and he could flip through the pages without the fear of ripping one out. Not content with the one source of knowledge Flynn perused a little more to find a couple more books related to his endeavour. As Flynn found a slightly isolated table to conduct his researched he had amassed a small pile of books to entertain him for a little while. He knew he'd never be able to finish them all in on sitting but knowing his realm of imagination he knew it was inevitable that he would open them all at least once for one reason or another. His collection consisted of but was not limited to, a tamer version of 'the monster book of monsters' that seemed to enjoy napping more then chaos, a seemingly underwhelming book called the 'encyclopaedia of toad stools' and a thick and old copy of 'Dragon species of Great Britain and Ireland.'
As he cracked open his old copy of fantastic beasts the pages gave a satisfying sigh of relief as the pages separated from each other for the first time in forever. Flynn admired the long list of names etched into the first page of the book and as he thumbed through the first few pages his eyes beamed as he found exactly what he was looking for, annotations and notes added by who had come before, extra small tid bits of information over looked by the original writer now serving as invigorating wisdom for the young first year. As his mind was crammed filled with knowledge from the eating habits of a Lethifold or the means of taming a Glumbumble Flynn was stopped on page 33 of the A-Z of magical creatures where he was met with a beautiful illustration of two Fwoopers vigilantly guarding a nest of eggs. Flynn quickly brought out his slightly creased portrait of a Jobberknoll to compare his abilities to that of a skilled artist. While the birds weren't the exact same they possessed enough similarities for Flynn to contrast the drawings, he noted the shaping of the feathers and how the author had proportioned the body and head of the bird seeing how a previous student had left a faint marking on the bird to aid in copying the drawing. As Flynn found ways of improving his own drawings it wasn't long before he had broken out a fresh page of parchment to practise his new found tips and tricks. As he found a new subject to draw he marked various pages showing animals like the mighty Graphorn to the vicious Horned Serpent. All of them Bewildering to him as nothing could compare to them in the muggle world. As he discovered more weird and wonderful animals that plotted the land Flynn began diligently doodling away on his parchment each drawing still leaving a lot to be desired but all various amounts of improvement from his first Jobberknoll. Although the grandeur of the castle and its grounds were nothing short of wild and bizarre in the best way possible even the rowdy Flynn Montgomery could enjoy a chance to unwind in the familiarity of the library.

A chance to unwind
Quinn had been the most excited for the classes but after that the Library. Quinn loved the library, it was her favorite place to be. Quinn walked down the halls as fast as she could careful not to sprint. Smiling she entered the library doors and gasped.
"It's better then I ever could have imagined" she wispered. The thousands of books on thousands of shelves, spiraling staircases, and comfy places to sit! It's all so amzing she thought walking slowly so she could take it all in. Quinn had no idea were she should start to look for her favorite book series Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger. She was so deep in thought that she walked right into a pillar and fell over!
"Ouch!" Quinn said and looked at what she had fallen on. Quinn had fallen on a sharp pointy object that looked like..
"oh someone left there quill on the ground" Quinn said and picked it up. then she noticed that her sleeves were black with ink.
"oh dear" she sighed
"it lookes like I am going to have to wash my sleeves off" Quinn got back onto her feet and continued her search for the book. Then she tripped and, yet again, fell the ground. But this time it was right on top of someone!
