Broken Porcelain PV Evangeline Pierce Closed

Min-seo still massaged her sore feet. Yes, she wasn't fond of long conversations, but she wasn't fond of complete silence either. She moved her hands up to her legs, which were just as sore as her feet. She looked out the window to see snow, her lips parting slightly. She was quite a beautiful girl, at least that's what people said. She didn't think so at all. She had extremely low self-esteem. She made eye contact with Evangeline who was still looking at her. She gave a small smile and looked away. She got up slowly, taking her shoes with her to the bench and started to pack up her things. She probably wasn't going to dance again today, not in this condition. She grabbed her stuff, but she sat down next to Evangeline again. It wouldn't hurt to talk today. She grabbed her regular shoes and slipped them on, feeling a bit of relief. She was tired. She started to stretch her muscles so they wouldn't cramp up tomorrow. She turned back to the other girl. "It's possible," Evangeline said. Min-seo nodded slightly. "I'm sorry you had to see me like that, I probably was a mess," she said quietly.

Evangeline's eyes followed the girl as she stood, making her way over to her things. Evangeline wondered if Min-seo was leaving, it wouldn't bother her too much if the girl left, but it would be nice to finally talk to someone for more than just a brief moment. Evangeline's wish to be alone was usually respected in Pierce Manor, but Hogwarts had somehow made Evangeline more eager to do more than just sit back and watch.

The faint beginning of a smile could be seen on Evangeline's face as the girl returned to sit beside Evangeline again. It was nice to just talk to someone without being pressured to, it felt so much more natural than the forced conversations her family would have and inevitably push Evangeline into. She hated those dinners, the way that the Pierces would sit, all of them quiet until someone decided to break the uneasy silence and everyone was expected to join in.

"I enjoyed watching you dance," Evangeline replied. She definitely did not see the dance as a mess, it was graceful and full of emotion. Evangeline enjoyed things that didn't lack emotion, otherwise, she would get bored of staring at someone or listening to their songs. She needed the performer to feel the emotions that the lyrics of a song or the choreography of a dance showed.

Min-seo came back and sat down. The other girl seemed pretty happy about it, I guess that was good. She had quite a lot of friends or acquaintances at Hogwarts. There was Rowan, Elena, Sylvie, Alex, etcetera, and she hoped that Evangeline would become one as well. She did love Hogwarts, but she did miss home. Although her Godfather was very rich, he was a very kind man. He made sure all of her needs were cared for, and Min-seo thought of him as a father. She smiled slightly. Min-seo looked at Evangeline and she had a smile on her face for the first time. Min-seo liked when people smiled, she didn't like to see people sad. She wanted everyone to be happy, even if she wasn't. She sighed slightly, relaxing. She felt better now, even though she was close to breaking. "I enjoyed watching you dance," Evangeline said. Min-seo snapped out of her thoughts, looking back at the girl. "Oh, thank you. It's probably not the best I've done, honestly, I could do better," she said. Min-seo always thought she needed to do better, so she pushed herself to the limit to try and go to the highest peak before breaking down. "Do you dance? If not, what do you do?" she asked.

Evangeline smiled slightly when Min-seo said she could do better. Evangeline sensed a hint of determination and ambition, a trait that all Slytherins possess and one that Evangeline definitely did not lack. It was a feeling that Evangeline was extremely familiar with and one that she was more than happy to share.

The Slytherin shook her head, "I don't dance," she replied. Evangeline didn't doubt that she would be capable of such a thing, but she had never tried much of it and it was something that didn't appeal that much to her, even though Evangeline did enjoy watching Min-seo's dance. "I mostly act, though I do like to sing, too," she continued, answering the second part of Min-seo's question.

Acting came easily to Evangeline. It was very similar to lying and that was a skill that Evangeline had developed over her time at Pierce Manor. Many long, dull conversations had helped her immensely. Her family often pushed to talk about something though it never ended in a particularly interesting way. Evangeline had gotten used to the impossible and inescapable boredom of her family. Sometimes Evangeline wondered what her family in Spain was like, she wouldn't be surprised if they were much more entertaining.

"Do you do anything other than dance?" Evangeline asked. She didn't doubt that Min-seo was good at other things, she seemed like a girl who had many talents.
