The Ultimate Gaelic Tickle Duel Private Closed

Well, here he was.
The previous evening, Dan had been approached by Colin McCoire, and challenged. Apparently, his performance in the impromptu tickle fight had won Colin's interest, and he wanted to directly face Dan in a true tickle duel.
Dan was always eager to beat Colin in something else, and even sweetened the deal a little. He proposed that they hold this in thr Quidditch Pitch, as there was to be no activity here. No one would come to bother them. There would be no interruptions.
This also had the fortunate benefit of meaning that there would be no hope of escape or rescue for Colin.

Dan had also included one more stipulation; The stakes.
If this was to be a proper duel, there would have to be stakes. Dan proposed that the lower would be forced to endure the most heinous tickle torture the winner was capable of dishing out, over the course of an entire day. Dire terms indeed.

Finally, Dan had said that they would begin at early morning, not even fully sunrise yet. That way, they would have the entire day to do this, and they're was no risk of accidental vomiting.

So, early that morning, Dan slipped out of bed, put on a shirt and shorts, fed Loki his kitty breakfast, went out to the grounds, turned into his falcon form, and flew off to the Pitch.

When he arrived, he waited for Colin. It was still very dim light, and fog cinematically covered the ground up to his waist.

When Colin did appear, not very long after he himself arrived, Dan sauntered toward him with an air of unshakeable confidence to meet him in the center.

"So ye actually showed up, did ye? Are ya ready to lose yer SECOND tickle duel to me, Scotsboy?"

Just before reaching the middle of the pitch, Dan dramatically pulled off his shirt and tossed it aside. It immediately vanished from sight, likely irretrievable in the soup-thick fog. He did nothing with shoes, since he was, as always, barefooted.

Dan took his stance. One that wouldn't be out of place in a Final Fantasy game used by the overwhelmingly powerful end boss.
"So. Shall we begin?"

From Colin's elevated vantage up on the stone outcropping in the high country above Hogwarts, he looked down towards the lake, the grounds around the school, the quidditch pitch, the dark forest. Or rather, he looked down on the fog that had settled over Hogwarts this early morning! He had come up here to meditate, as he usually did, in the pre-dawn hours. And now he stood up on the rock and cast his gaze over the beauty of this little bit of Scotland. It looked like a fairy tale! The towers and high places of the castle peeked up above the fog, as did the very tallest of trees, looking like enchanted islands in the bleak grey seas of Faerie.

If Clair were awake, she might just be able to see a tiny pin prick of pale blond hair against the darker background of the high woodlands. He knew she'd never be able to hear him from this distance, but Colin howled for Clair and waved his green and black shirt about like a flag. "OWOOOOOOOOOOO!!! CLAAAIIIRRR!!! I LOVE YOOOUUU!!!"

With a merry laugh he tied the arms of his shirt around his head and jumped down from the outcropping into the grasses below. He jogged down towards the quidditch pitch, rather than his usual destination of the lake. He knew that by now there would be someone waiting for him in the foggy grounds of the pitch. He smirked as the cool tendrils of fog swallowed him up. Dan Palmer. Fake Slytherin. And now a sixth year!

He had destroyed Colin in their tickle fight early last year. The defeat stung, but really, what other outcome could there be? Colin was just barely twelve then. Now, he was thirteen and had practiced all summer with Liam! He felt quite ready to challenge Dan again, and there was no way he was going to back down from anyone, no matter how strong or powerful in magic! Colin had challenged him to a rematch yesterday.

The Ultimate Gaelic Tickle Duel!

Colin trotted into the quidditch pitch. There was nothing to be seen but fog, and a little grass around where Colin stood in the center of the pitch. He caught Dan's scent before he could see aught. And even then, Dan was mostly grey shadow. Bloody hell, he'd grown! A fleeting sense of dread clutched at Colin's heart. He remembered that Dan had specified certain conditions to this fight. Stakes he had called them.

A whole day of unremitting tickle torture!

Colin shook his head like a dog. It calmed him considerably. Dan seemed to look very confident as he took of his shirt and threw it to the side.

Colin raised his brow at Dan's greeting. "Don't be a wank, Palmer! Ye're going down this time!" Colin shouted back, matching bravado for bravado. He undid his shirtsleeves from around his head and tossed the shirt to the side with an equally dramatic motion. He hopped about and stuck his tongue out at Dan.

Colin's eyes sparkled as Dan took his stance and said "Shall we begin?"

Colin immediately dropped and slid the short distance towards Dan on the cool wet grass! He hooked his left heel onto Dan's left achilles and yanked as hard as he could! Hopefully Dan would be momentarily airborne and then the fun would really begin!

This "duel" does not feature hp. We decided to continue until one of us would, in character, finally give up. This is subject to change, depending on if we change our minds.
Round 1
Colin uses a dirty quick attack to try and knock Dan off balance!
Dan's evasive maneuvers? 9 or 10 succeed.

[d10 : 7]
Nope.

Colin's attack, that I shall refer to as the Bare Foot Hook:
[d20 : 8]
8+9=17

Dan's evasion:
[d20 : 17]
17+12=29
Dan dodges Colin's Bare Foot Hook!
Dan's Counterattack

Colin's Evasive Maneuvers: 10 succeeds.
[d10 : 10]
Colin autododges!

So Nothing happens, really.
Wow. No real banter, no buildup. Right to business. How... boring. Colin threw off his own shirt in response to Dan, which made a ghost of a smile twitch on his face. Maybe this highland brat really did have some theatrical talent after all.

Immediately, he slid on the grass, below immediate visibility, and attempted to hook the back of his heel for a trip. He saw that Colin was, of course, already barefooted. It was one of the cardinal rules, after all. In tickle wrestling, all participating boys must remove all chest and foot wear.
That attack was... impressive. Colin had clearly been practicing over the summer. His skill in tickle dueling was already improved well beyond the impromptu one they had last year.

However.

Dan had been practicing too.

Dan jumped back about 2 feet, landing with his knees already bent. He smirked at Colin with the confidence one might have when one is level 85, facing off with a level 40.

He sprung at Colin, aiming to take advantage of Colin being on the ground already. He knew Colin's two worst spots. His stomach, and his feet, in that order. If he was already on the ground, the Irish Death Buzz was already a third done.

But, Colin rolled out of the way with considerable force. Dan hit the ground again, but landed gracefully.

"Almost impressive, little puppy dog. Did the little pup learn some new tricks?"
