Feeling a Little Lost
Tapping sounds filled the corridors as the student went to and from their classes. Sylvie had pushed herself up against the wall, frowning as the people rushed by her. "Ugh.. why does there have to be so many people in this hallway!" She thought, as she adjusted her messenger bag, which felt fairly heavy. Currently, Sylvie's light blonde hair was down and she had a green bow in it, which was the same color as her house color. She was wearing her school robes, which had her uniform under it.
More tapping, more waiting. Sylvie tapped her fingernails on the wall, thinking of a random song that she made up on the spot. She seemed to look annoyed as she leaned against the wall. Now she was whistling to the beat created by her fingers.
This occupied her until the corridor cleared. She gave a sigh of relief and pushed herself off the wall. "Took long enough, oh darn it... which way is the staircase to the ground floor?" Sylvie had just gotten out of charms and seemed to have lost her bearing in the large crowd. She made her way to the wall again, and sat down, pushing her hair behind her ears.
She opened a map she had drawn for herself, which wasn't the most accurate or greatest quality, but it was fun to make. She had explored the castle, going in and out of the rooms and determining what their pruposes were. Sylvie looked around and saw the study room close by. "Okay, I must be on the second floor." She scanned the second floor for a way to the right staircase and saw something or someone out of her peripheral vision.

Feeling a Little Lost
Evangeline made her way to the second floor. She had just been in the rehearsal room on the fourth floor and was planning to return to the Slytherin common room. The walk down to the basement was quite a long one, though the castle was interesting enough for Evangeline not to notice the length of her journey. Hogwarts was a place that Evangeline was fond of exploring, mostly due to its large amounts of rooms, all of them made for a different purpose. She supposed that such a large number of rooms was necessary for a school with so many students.
As she turned the corner to make her way down the corridor, Evangeline spotted a fellow Slytherin (judging by the green streaks on her robes). The girl was unfamiliar to Evangeline, she found that she didn't recognize many of the students, probably because she hadn't talked to many people so far. Evangeline preferred to stand back and observe, but even when she wasn't socializing Evangeline was capable of remembering people's faces. The fellow Slytherin's remained unfamiliar.
The girl looked in Evangeline's direction, forcing her to step towards the girl. "You look lost," Evangeline stated, meeting the other girl's gaze and staring straight into her green eyes. She continued to stare, ignoring the fact that an introduction would be appropriate.

Feeling a Little Lost
"Yeah, no kidding." She thought as she looked at the girl who had just spoken to her. She had very dark hair and bright blue eyes. She was pale, and Sylvie wondered how much she went outside. She smiled friendlily, which she always tried to do here at Hogwarts when she met a stranger. "A little bit, I'm still not really used to walking around here. It's huge." She looked back down at her messy map and located the nearest staircase on it. It was quite indistinguishable, which could be why it took so long.
Sylvie stood up, pulling her messenger bag off the floor, looking at the map one last time, before stuffing it back into the bag. She noticed the girl was taller then she was, which is not unusual, so she had to look slightly up when she addressed her. She noticed the girl's staring and decided to try and start a conversation. "Hello, I'm Sylvie Maple. You?" She said in a casual tone. The girl seemed to have green in her robes. "Must be a fellow Slytherin. I haven't seen her around until now though..." Sylvie leaned against the wall, the bottom of her foot on the wall and her hands in the pockets of her robes.

Feeling a Little Lost
Evangeline emerged further from the blissful shadows that she had been lingering in. She hadn't expected to run into anyone, but she tried not to treat it as an inconvenience, Evangeline was getting used to the number of friendly people that were eager and more than happy to talk. It was overwhelming, but Evangeline was quite fond of the feeling, it made her feel like this was the right place for her to be. It was a feeling that she was glad to experience.
Evangeline nodded, "It takes a while to get used to," she agreed. The castle was more than just large, it was enormous and she still wasn't accustomed to its size and complexity. She imagined that, after a while, the castle would, like most places, become familiar. Evangeline figured that it would take much less time than expected, especially since her memory was excellent when it came to knowing how to get around.
Sylvie Maple. It wasn't a name that she had heard before, but she had never paid much attention to the conversations her parents had, so the girl could come from quite an important family. "Evangeline Pierce," she replied, her eyes meeting the girl's again. Sylvie was another Slytherin that Evangeline had never met, she found that there were many people in her house that she didn't recognize, but she assumed it was due to the fact that she wasn't as quick to start conversations as many people in the school seemed to be.

Feeling a Little Lost
Sylvie noticed the girls figure becoming easier to identify as she stepped forward since she's been blending into the shadows. Sylvie pulled out her chestnut wood wand and fiddled with in her hand. She used to do this with her pencils at school, mainly when she was bored. Man, she missed pencils. Now she had to use quills and ink, and those were a lot more difficult to work with. Sylvie flipped the want in the air and caught it in the proper position for holding it. She smiled to herself and shoved the want back in the pocket. The light from the torches in the hall made her green eyes shine as she looked at Evangeline.
"Evangeline Pierce huh.... that's a pretty name." She thought, blowing a strand of hair out her face, wrapping her right hand around the strap of her bag. She hadn't heard of the girl before in conversation."I like your name, it's pretty." She said. It seemed like Evangeline had been walking the same direction she'd been walking before the crowd of students had caused her to stop. Sylvie made her way towards Evangeline. She tried to walk with confidence and succeeded like usual. She hadn't had a panic attack for a while, but she still used her ability to lie with her body movements to her advantage. "Where ya heading?" She asked, her left hand still in her pocket, and her right hand still around the messenger bag strap.

Evangeline had not been expecting a compliment. It had thrown her off, it was a very different start to the conversation. She didn't receive many compliments, mostly because of her family's desire to see the worst in people, the Pierces were almost impossible to please. The frustrating trait had undoubtedly been passed onto Evangeline, but she liked to think that it was much harder to notice in her.
"Thank you," Evangeline forced out, replied to the compliment the fellow Slytherin had given. Evangeline was terrible at receiving praise which was quite clear in her response. If Evangeline had been the kind of person to give compliments, she would have done so. It would have been an easy task since the girl was pretty and had a likable personality, Evangeline wouldn't have found it difficult to make a flattering comment about Sylvie, but she barely even considered reciprocating such an action.
"I was on my way to the Slytherin common room," Evangeline replied to the girl's question. "What about you?" she asked, hoping that their destinations were at least in a similar direction. Evangeline wanted to know more about the girl, it would probably be good to make friends with more of the Slytherins since they were likely to be sharing classes. Besides, most of the Slytherins she had encountered had been nothing but nice, the complete opposite of what most people think of the house. Most of the things people believe about Slytherin are complete bullshit.

Sorry that this is so late. I've been extremely busy due to school tests, but I should have more time to write from now on. Again, I'm sorry that I keep taking such a long time to reply.

Sylvie raised her eyebrow slightly. Usually, people seemed happier when they received a compliment. "Your welcome Evangeline," she said, smiling at the girl. After she faced forward again, tucking her hair behind her ears so it wouldn't get in her face as much, even though it didn't look very good. Sylvie never really cared about her appearance anyways.
"I'm heading to the library. I think those are in the same general direction." She said looking at the girl again and pulling a book out of her bag. "I need to return this. I finished reading it during cha-I mean during my free time..." She said, doing a nervous giggle. She'd finished pretty quickly, so she decided to read. It was technically free time since she was done with her work and didn't have much else to do, besides help her classmates which Sylvie didn't really want to do.
She stuffed the book back into her bag. "I guess we're heading in the same direction." She said, walking in the direction they had to go, looking behind her after she walked a few steps away. She smiled at Evangeline, "Might as well walk together. What do you say?" She put her arms behind her back and stood there, waiting.
