Dear Evangeline,
I have heard the news that you have been sorted into the noble house of Slytherin. Unfortunately, I have not received the news from you which was quite a disappointment, but I am glad that you have made me proud. Finding out that you were sorted into Slytherin was, honestly, a breath of relief. I expected nothing less of you, though sometimes your attitude is unacceptable and very unpredictable. You must make Slytherin proud, it is your home for the next seven years and you will do a lot to contribute to it. You will not do anything out of line, if you do, I will be informed and I won't be pleased in the slightest.
I expect to receive an owl in the weeks to come.

Querida Mamá,
I'm enjoying Hogwarts a lot, it's a magnificent place and it's much better than being stuck in Pierce Manor (I pity you for being left alone). I've met new people, but I wouldn't call any of them my friends yet, they're more like acquaintances at this point, though we haven't spoken much. I'll try my best to get to know them better, you know how distant I can be. On the note of friends, I'm curious about some of our old ones. Have you been in touch with the Havens?
