Min-seo knew the waltz pretty well, considering her godfather had taught her. He always had fancy cocktail parties. He had taught her at one of them, and he led her across the dancefloor for a bit before handing her off to her older brother, which was just as enjoyable. She felt a hand in hers and a hand on her shoulder blade. Wait, wasn't the leader supposed to put their hand on her waist? At least that's how she was taught. Should she correct him? Or was she the one who was wrong. Oh well, she saw no harm in correcting. But it was on her shoulder blade, that was fine, it would do. She started the footwork, trying to lead him ever so slightly so he knew what to do. She smiled as he talked about learning with his Grandfather. "Really? I don't really remember dancing with my Grandparents, although I do see them quite a bit. I learned from my Godfather. He taught me most of the formal dances I know. As for popular school dances, I feel like everyone just jumps around to the music, so these definitely come in handy, for I think that the school has many formal dances, at least that's what I've heard," she said.

Min-seo had a somewhat perplexed look on her face, and Tremaine had a split second of wondering if he was doing something wrong. But no, he knew this one pretty well. He was stumbling over the steps a bit, but he was starting to straighten them out now, and the dancing was getting smoother. It seemed almost harder in robes, as they kept swishing around and tangling up his legs. His family always dressed in muggle clothing so as not to draw attention to themselves. They actually did a good job of it, too, unlike some of the pure bloods he had seen.

Min-seo began to talk about her experiences with waltzing. His mind immediately painted a picture of her godfather, waltzing around a large Christmas tree with Min-seo. Tremaine couldn't help imagining him as something like a younger version of Grandfather Charles. Less wrinkles, less white hair, same old sense of fun mixed with polished manners.

Min-seo continued describing what a popular school dance might look like. Tremaine wasn't sure he would even have the energy to just jump around all night. Which reminded him, something else he had been wondering about school dances. Well, Min-seo probably didn't know. She was only about the same age as him. Alright, he'd ask something else, something less pressing, that he still wondered about. "What kind of music," he started, still focused on his waltz steps, "Do you suppose they play at school dances?" He didn't think he could stand it if it was some sort of modern pop star music.

Min-seo watched his footwork to make sure he didn't trip over his feet or robes. She did notice he was a bit clumsy, but that didn't matter. She made sure her footwork was neat so she didn't trip either. He asked what music was played at school dances. Goodness, she didn't really know, probably that terrible pop music that she hated. "Well, I'm guessing they play some type of pop music, which I'm not a fan of. I'm not entirely sure, for I've never been to a party like that before." she said with a sigh. She just couldn't understand why everyone liked that type of stuff. All it was was people mumbling random words to a song that sounds the same as the other popular songs. Or they had extremely cheesy lyrics about breaking up, or about how they have so much money. It was just plain stupid to her. She usually listened to random genres, sometimes k-pop (Because she could actually understand it,) and maybe indie. She sighed and kept dancing. The music stopped. She smiled at Tremaine and let go of him to tamper with the music. "It seems like you know the dance well. Are there any other dances you want to be taught?" she asked, tilting her head to the side.

Tremaine smiled as Min-seo mentioned her dislike for pop music. So he wasn't the only one. He had been resigned to a fate of listening to pop music recommendations from friends just to get along with them, but she at least wouldn't be one of those friends. To be honest, he had never been to a party like that either. The parties at his grandparent's house were much more reserved, and though they tended to get more crazy towards the end, Tremaine was never allowed to stay up that late.
Tremaine had never been particularly fond of music with lyrics, though there were certainly a few exceptions. It was like somebody reading poetry over the music, which detracted attention from the music itself. He did enjoy music where words were selective and few and far between, though. His music tastes varied across a wide spectrum of jazz, ragtime, classical, Celtic, and some alternative. He had used to enjoy opera, but he had eventually gotten tired of it, since his grandmother listened to opera every evening on their old radio.
The music stopped and Tremaine finally stopped dancing, almost relieved. My, but he was rather clumsy today. But Min-seo seemed to think he had done rather well. She offered to teach him some other type of dance. "You told me you were good at ballet, right? And contemporary. I'd love to learn a little of those."

Yep, Min-seo definitely hated pop music. It all sounded the same. What's the point of listening to them if they all sound the same? It just.....ugh even thinking about it got on her nerves. It just was pointless. The parties at her Godfather's house were usually very fancy, and there was a lot of formal dancing for they had a ballroom in the mansion. Yes, she lived in quite a big house. Her Godfather was very rich. Her whole family was, to be fair. She usually had to dance if someone asked her to, like a relative. They were all quite good dancers and it was fun, like at their huge Christmas party, but at her Godfather's cocktail parties with important people, she was usually conversing with the guests, and they all said she was a fine young lady. She had to give off a good impression, no? She sighed slightly. She turned to Tremaine as he mentioned he wanted to learn ballet or contemporary. She nodded slightly. Now, which one would be better for him? He was clumsy, but she was sure he could handle ballet, but she was sure he could do contemporary as well. She tilted her head to the side. She looked at him. "Do you have a preference? she asked.
