Song she used: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YR5USHu ... I6w0oheXRg
She was back again on the fourth floor. She just wanted to dance on her own for once. Every time, she was interrupted by someone who happened to be exploring or passing by and hearing her music. The small girl was wearing something different this time. She was wearing black shorts over cream-colored tights and a dark red tank top. Her long black hair was tied up in a high bun. She opened the doors of the big room. Empty. Good. She wasn't in the best mood today, and she didn't know why. She sat on the bench once again and tied on pink ballet shoes over her delicate feet. She quickly put on the Pas de Deux from the Nutcracker on again. She never got to dance to the song last time, and this time she really wanted to, no matter the interruptions. Even though this was a dance meant for two people, she still danced to it on her own. She got in position in the middle of the room and listened to the music play. She started to dance with as much emotion as possible. She did leaps and jumps, trying to get her anger out, and her bun coming out in the process, leaving her hair flowing behind her as she danced. She spun around the room at the climax of the song and started to tear up a bit. She just felt terrible. She kept on dancing and didn't notice anyone enter the big room.

Evangeline had been wandering through the castle's twisting corridors for at least an hour. She had made her way up from the Slytherin common room in the basements to the fourth floor. Evangeline was used to the loneliness that engulfed some of the rooms, she could see the disuse as she glanced through the doors. It was a large castle, it didn't surprise her that some parts were empty despite the large and growing amount of students.

Music flowed through the corridor, forcing Evangeline to a stop. It was a familiar song, one that she had heard before, but she barely remembered where. It took her a few moments to realize that it was from The Nutcracker, a performance she had only seen a couple of times when she was younger, but her memory serves well, especially when it comes to music.

Evangeline approached the sound, moving silently towards the door that was left ajar. She stopped when she reached it, suddenly confused. Should she enter or would she be disrupting someone? Since when have you ever cared? Evangeline dismissed the thought and gently pushed the door, widening the crack. Inside the room was a girl. She danced to the music without holding back and it brought a memory to Evangeline's mind.

When she was still at home, Evangeline would sit in some small corner of her family's giant house, away from her parents and the weight that they put on her shoulders. She would sit and listen to the enchanting melodies for hours, all sorts of songs ringing through her ears and weaving an elaborate web in her mind.

Evangeline entered the ballroom, standing and staring at the girl as she leaped and turned to the notes of the song.

Min-seo closed her eyes and just let the music take over her body as she danced around the room. She couldn't feel her body anymore. It was just all dance. No control whatsoever. She wasn't her usual shy self when dancing. She opened her eyes for a split second and saw a girl. What? When did she get here? How come someone always saw her dancing? Whatever, just keep dancing. And she did. Now you may wonder how this girl could do these things at her age. She just was flexible. She felt the sanity fade out of her brain and she imagined a person, a shadow, more like, dancing alongside her as a dance partner would do. She imagined being lifted up by the shadow, but obviously it wasn't there, so she replaced it with jumps. She felt like the room was completely dark and the shadow just blended in with it. It seemed not to make sense, but it did to her. The music faded out and she ended on pointe, back towards the mysterious girl. Tears blinded her vision and she was breathing rather hard. She felt herself melt to the floor slowly. The shadows faded away. What was wrong with her!? Was she going insane? And in front of a person too! She just let her few tears drip onto the cold marble floor.

Evangeline stared at the girl. The music stopped and she dropped to the floor and, for a moment, Evangeline wondered if it was part of the dance, but she decided that it wasn't. The sight sent a shiver down her spine, it looked like there could be a lot wrong with this girl, but it only made Evangeline more curious. She didn't like hearing about other people's problems, they don't interest her, but there was something about this girl that made her feel pity.

Evangeline approached her, standing beside her breathing body with her arms crossed. She stared for a few seconds. "You're good," Evangeline spoke, her eyes studying the girl's face. Tears rolled down to the floor, painting her cheeks with the faint trails that they left. What happened to her? It was almost possible to sense the curiosity pouring from Evangeline in waves. The feeling was familiar to the girl, that was probably the reason why Evangeline felt so eager to know more about this mysterious dancer.

Evangeline sank to sit beside the girl. The marble was cold as she touched it, shocking Evangeline slightly, but she got used to its coldness. After a while it became soothing. "Who are you?" She asked suddenly, breaking the silence that had settled around them like a fog. Evangeline's voice was amplified by the room, carrying it to every corner of the hall.

Min-seo kept looking at the floor with a blank face, her tears painting her face. Her emotion seemed to drain from her body. It was like dancing had sucked it all up from her body. More like the random shadows that had appeared in her vision. Dammit, she forgot that another girl was in here. She heard the girl's footsteps echo across the floor as she made her way over to Min-seo. "You're good." the other girl said. Min-seo looked at the other girl with glassy brown eyes with specks of gold in them, making the gold stand out. The girl had dark hair and blue eyes. Min-seo brushed the hair out of her pale face, making her look like a small porcelain doll. A broken one, if anything, totally broken, but still beautiful. She had all the features of one. Small, delicate, and pale as porcelain. She turned to the voice. "Who are you?" The other girl asked. Min-seo sighed before speaking. "Min-seo. Kim Min-seo or Min-seo Kim here. Slytherin house. And you are?" she said in her quiet, now slightly monotone voice. This girl already saw all her feelings and they hadn't even met yet. How pathetic can you be, Kim Min-seo?

Evangeline studied the girl's face, noticing every tear and every attempt at hiding her feelings. But Evangeline had seen what had just taken place, there was no denying that the girl was keeping something from the world, locked in her pretty little mind, away from prying eyes and nosy girls like Evangeline. It was probably for the best, secrets are easy to spill and even easier to spread. Especially if those secrets aren't yours to tell.

"Evangeline Pierce, also a Slytherin," Evangeline replied. She hoped for some sort of reaction at the name, the Pierces were more or less well-known in the wizarding society in England, though she didn't expect it. Most people didn't bother caring about wealthy, pure-blood families, especially if they were made up of Slytherins. The green and silver of the noble house wasn't trusted by many witches and wizards, it was a house that had a bad reputation, but for no good reason, not in her opinion. There were members of Slytherin that were nothing like what most thought, they didn't deserve the same dislike that people felt for the house.

"I haven't seen you around before," she stated, "Strange since we're in the same house." Hogwarts was a large school with many students in each of the houses, but Min-seo looked like she was only a first year, and since this was Evangeline's first year it was likely that they would have met.

Min-seo adjusted her current position into something more comfortable. Her breathing slowed down slightly. The girl introduced herself as Evangeline Pierce. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Evangeline." She said with a small smile on her pink lips. Pierce, huh? Of course Min-seo had heard of the name. She highly doubted that her Godfather had met them before. He was quite famous in the wizarding world. He had been in Slytherin along with her, but most of the people his age remember him to be quite delightful and trustworthy, hence him always having parties. She looked up to him in that sense, for he was kind to everyone. She wiped her eyes of the droplets of water still clinging to her eyelashes. She had stopped crying now. She still felt like she was made of lead and that her bones were broken, but besides that she was fine. This always happened after she danced with too much of herself. She'd lose control and break. Evangeline wondered how she'd never seen Min-seo before. "I'd say the same for you. I might have seen you around and not noticed it. But Hogwarts is quite a large school." she said in thought. She'd sworn she'd seen her before.

Evangeline looked around at the large ballroom, she didn't dance, but she had the grace to be good at it if she wanted to. The girl wasn't keen on such things, she preferred acting, it came easily to her. Evangeline felt a passion for creative arts such as acting and music and, when she was still learning at the Manor, Evangeline had requested for them to be taught more often. Her father, with a lot of persuasion from her mother, finally agreed to fulfill her wish.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," Min-seo said, catching Evangeline's attention once more. "Likewise," the Slytherin muttered, her pale eyes flitting to meet the girl's gaze. Evangeline stared into the golden-flecked brown of the girl's eyes, knowing the error of her actions well, though that didn't push her to look away. As a child, Evangeline had been told not to stare by her father. He said it was impolite and that she should demonstrate the proper manners for a girl of her upbringing. Evangeline was more than happy to disobey her father.

Min-seo spoke again. "I'm assuming we're both in the same year," Evangeline started, "I'd say that the chances of us running into each other are pretty high," she replied with a small sigh. After a moment of silence, Evangeline spoke up again, "I have a good memory, I'd remember you if I ever saw you."

Min-seo brushed the stray strands of hair out of her face and decided it was the best idea just to put it in a ponytail. She grabbed the hair band off her wrist and put her hair into a high ponytail. "Likewise," she heard the other girl mumble. She looked over to her and saw her staring at her. Evangeline, unlike Min-seo, had very pale eyes, while Min had dark eyes. She felt slightly intimidated as the girl kept on staring at her eyes. Min-seo smiled slightly at her before letting her eyes flit away. She looked at the floor. She brought one of her feet forward and started to take off her ballet shoes, which were really hurting her. She massaged her foot to keep the blood flowing in it. She did the same thing with her other foot, placing the pink pointe shoes beside her, and she made sure the ribbons didn't get tangled. She turned towards Evangeline again and she was still staring. "I have a good memory, I'd remember you if I ever saw you." the other girl said in response to Min-seo's question. She tilted her head slightly. "Maybe I saw you when I was just passing by." she said.

Evangeline found that many people she talked to were not fond of lengthy conversation, a trait that she appreciated, she preferred keeping quiet and observing, a skill that she had improved over the last year. Evangeline found it easy to watch people and judge them by the actions they forget to monitor as closely as their words, sometimes what people say has no meaning, it's what they do that counts. The sad look in someone's eye, the way their fingers twitch as they wait impatiently for something to happen. It's the small details that Evangeline chooses to focus on.

The Slytherin looks at her fellow snake, wondering if the face seemed familiar at all. It didn't. The more she tried to locate the features of Min-seo in her memories, the more sure she became that she had never seen the girl in her life, not even during their trip to the castle. It was possible that they had missed each other entirely, but, as Evangeline had mentioned before, there was a very low chance that they really hadn't met.

"It's possible," Evangeline answered, her thoughts drifting back to the semi-empty ballroom which had been filled with music only minutes ago. Music that this girl had danced to, pouring her heart into every jump and turn as she moved with the melody.
