Frozen Tear and Many Fears
Sylvie smiled warmly, "I'm glad you like it, I thought it was a pretty name." Sylvie said. She watched as Rosalyn read the book, pushing her hair behind her ear, a bad habit of hers. She knew it looked better when it wasn't tucked, but she couldn't help it. She wondered why Rosalyn had perked up when she heard about her not knowing about the wizarding world. Maybe, she was also a muggle born? "Hey Rosalyn, are you a Muggle-born? She asked. So far, she hadn't met any who, to her knowledge, was a muggle born, which she found interesting. Maybe they weren't that common?
When Sylvie heard Rosalyn ask about her mother, she tensed up, and her shivering seemed to stop all of a sudden. "My mom... well..." She tried to think of what to say about her mom Should she tell the truth or should she lie? She looked at Rosalyn and sighed. She seemed like the type of girl who could tell she was lying if she were to do so, so Sylvie decided to tell the truth. "My mom... left my dad for another man when I was five. She never talks to me, my dad, or my sister, but I don't really care anymore. I hate her." She said, a slight frown on her face as she looked at her lap, scrunching her fist.
As Rosalyn got under the blanket she noticed she wasn’t looking at Sylvie, but at her feet. She looked uncomfortable, which was not was Sylve wanted at all. “You look uncomfortable. You know, you don’t have to sit under here if you don’t want to. You look like you are being held hostage or something ...” She said sarcastically, giggling, and trying to look Rosalyn in the eyes. She didn’t want her new friend to feel uncomfortable. She just wanted to make sure she actually wasn’t cold. Sylvie started to adjust to the cold weather slightly, and decided she would rather shiver uncontrollably then not be able to move her arms, so with much difficulty, she took the jacket off and pushed it back into her bag. Yes, it felt colder, but it was way more comfortable.

Frozen Tear and Many Fears
As Rosalyn read through the book, she could see Sylvie move her hair in the corner of her eyes. She didn't pay that much attention to it though, her focus was entirely on the book. However, Sylvie had asked a peculiar question. Rosalyn turned her head towards Sylvie "No, I'm a half-blood. My mother was a pure-blooded witch. However, I was born into the muggle world." Rosalyn never really cared about the blood type of wizards and witches. However, Rosalyn knew how her mother was treated after deciding to marry a muggle, and she grew to despise those people that showed hatred towards different blood-types.
Rosalyn noticed that Sylvie stopped shivering when asked about her mother. She listened to what she had to say about her mother. Rosalyn has heard a similar story, but in books, so she didn't really know how to respond to what Sylvie had said. However, Rosalyn had the urge to say something. "I'm not sure what emotions one could feel from that situation because I've never experienced it. However, I believe that nobody should hate their mother." Rosalyn had just noticed something with what she said. She shared her opinion. For the first time Rosalyn had said what she wanted to say, instead of just following another person. It felt weird to Rosalyn. She looked down at her legs for a moment, slightly confused.
Rosalyn was still nervous from being under the blanket right next to someone. However, she wanted to get use to Sylvie. It was her first friend after all. When Sylvie said that she didn't have to sit under the blanket, Rosalyn instantly turned her head and looked Sylvie right in her eyes. "I wanna sit here." It was extremely uncomfortable to Rosalyn, but she figured it was for the best that she is able to get over it.

Frozen Tear and Many Fears
Sylvie continued to watch Rosalyn read until she answered her question. Sylvie raised her eyebrow and looked off into the distance, thinking. "A wizard and a muggle... that's really interesting." She thought. She didn't know that some wizards married muggles since she had read about how wizards had to hide their magic from the muggle world. Maybe there was an exception for married couples?
Sylvie chuckled to herself when Rosalyn said she shouldn't hate her mom. It was true, but Sylvie wasn't very forgiving when it came to her mom. She didn't want to forgive her, especially since she was never t nice to her before she left. She called her father names behind his backs, and would always yell at Sylvie when she did something even slightly wrong, and sometimes even got physical. Her father never knew this, since he was always on some sort of trip. "That's true, but my mom's a special case. She never was a real mom. My teachers at my old school were more of a mother figure than my mom." She said, looking at her hands in her lap. She wished she had a normal mother, one who cared for her, but that wasn't the case. Now she had a whole other life with some random man. She also had two other children. Sylvie shuddered to think what the kids were experiencing, based on what she went through.
The look on Rosalyn's face made Sylvie laugh, and she smiled at her after she'd finished. "Okay then, I just don't want you to feel like you have to sit under the blanket with me. I will still be your friend if you don't," she said, hoping this would make Rosalyn relax a bit. Sylvie had never really felt uncomfortable sitting next to someone unless she had a very bad feeling/opinion of them. "Well, Rosalyn has never had friends before, so I guess she isn't used to this sort of stuff..." She thought, breathing out and watching as the white puff faded in the cold air.

Frozen Tear and Many Fears
Mother's were supposed to be loving, caring, kind, and more. At least that's what Rosalyn thought of them through experience, and through the books she has read. How could a mother not love their child? Rosalyn was also confused of how a teacher could be a mother figure. There was no blood connection. Sylvie was pretty unique in a way. She was also a muggle-born! Rosalyn never even knew that muggles could even attend to Hogwarts, or even use magic! However, that didn't mean she likes Sylvie less. It made her more curious. "How can muggles use magic?" she asked. Rosalyn was sure that you had to have at least one parent that was a witch or wizard. Everyone else she happened to know was at least a half blood.
Rosalyn's eyes got wider after hearing Sylvie's response to being under the blanket. She wasn't sure what she had done to receive Sylvie's kindness. Most people tend to ignore Rosalyn due to her lack-luster personality. They would think she was weird, or scary. However, Sylvie didn't seem to think that way. Rosalyn didn't really know how to respond, so she just continued reading the book. She would let out a yawn, her eyes getting a little droopy. She was starting to feel comfortable under the blanket, and a little warm. She would try her best to stay awake, she didn't want to fall asleep all of a sudden.

Frozen Tear and Many Fears
Sylvie looked at Rosalyn with a confused look on her face, not only because of the question but also because she didn't know how the conversation topic had changed so quickly. Then Sylvie realized what she had meant. After all, Sylvie hadn't grown up with wizard parents. "Sometimes muggles can have wizard children, I think it's pretty rare though." She said, furrowing her brows as she tried to remember if she'd read anything about this in a book. "I'm not quite sure, I've read a dozen or more books since I've gotten here, but haven't really seen any about this topic."
Sylvie saw her friends eyes grow wider after Sylvie's last statement about being her friend, and Sylvie determined that Rosalyn was surprised, which made Sylvie surprised and more confused since she didn't understand why she would be surprised that Sylvie was being kind to her. Maybe she thought Sylvie was a jerk from the way she introduced herself? Maybe it was the fact she only really knew 5 people, and 3 in the whole school? Sylvie couldn’t really tell what lies behind those eyes, and didn’t have time to look further before Rosalyn went back to Sylvie’s book. After a few seconds, Sylvie saw out of her pereferal vision that Rosalyn’s face started to look tired, her eyes drooping as she let out a yawn. “Heh, now she’s making me feel tired..” Sylvie thought, smiling to herself, before sneezing again, shivering slightly. The blanket seemed to help a surprising deal with the cold, and Sylvie was thankful for that fact.

Frozen Tear and Many Fears
Rosalyn was interested in learning more about muggles now. She made a mental note to visit the library one day to see if there were any books about it. Rosalyn figured that magic could only be used if one possessed magical blood. Maybe one of Sylvie's parent's weren't muggles, or maybe Sylvie is some sort of special being? Who knows. Rosalyn looked Sylvie in the eyes. Her red beady orbs met Sylvie's light green one's. Her soft red lips opened as she spoke. "I shall try and search the library for any information." she said. Her words would sound even more lack-luster as she was trying her best not to fall asleep.
Rosalyn was somewhat good at getting used to new environments, it seems that being under the blanket is one as well. Maybe she just felt safe next to Sylvie. She let out quite a loud yawn. She would cover it with her hand though. Just a habit she had. Her red eyes would slowly droop down, and she slowly fell to her side. Her head landing on Sylvie's shoulders. She would be fast asleep, beginning to enter her dreams. However, a good few seconds would pass when Rosalyn would all of a sudden wake up.
Rosalyn looked up at the sun, then to the school, and then back at Sylvie. She remembered she had to return to her dorm to clean up before the prefects came by. Rosalyn was very messy and they would usually get irritated by the mess she would make. Rosalyn turned to face Sylvie once again. "I am currently sorry, I must return to my dormitory. Thank you for everything. I hope we can meet up sometime again." Rosalyn would get up, and jog back to the school. Attempting to not fall down, and face plant right in the snow.
Rosalyn was slightly upset that she wouldn't get to speak more with Sylvie. However, she suspected that they would meet each other again soon.

I'm so sorry if you wanted to continue this, but I figured it was a good place to end. I can edit this if you would like to continue though! Also, I hope we can do some more threads in the future. Currently I don't have any more ideas. I've been focusing on making my writing style better and more detailed lately. I've been trying to do them in here as well, but it would feel weird if I all of a sudden changed up in the middle of the thread. If you ever have any RPGs you want to try, feel free to inform me!

Frozen Tear and Many Fears
Sylvie smiled as Rosalyn said this. She spent a lot of time in the library, so maybe she would see her new friend there! You could find Sylvie there almost every day since she loved to read and could read a book in about a day, but she was usually busy and it took her a while to find books she was actually interested in. Her main problem was that too many books had love triangles or bad character, but when she did find a good book she would dive head first into it, and finish very quickly.
Sylvie watched as Rosalyn laid her head on her shoulder. This for sure was different than a few seconds ago when she was nervous just being under the blanket with her. Sylvie didn't mind her laying on her shoulder. Her other friends used to do it a lot, so she was used to it. "She got comfortable quickly," she thought as she looked down at the girl's white hairs which blended with the snow around them. There were probably snowflakes in her hair, but Sylvie couldn't tell.
Sylvie smiled as Rosalyn got up. She should probably get going too, but she decided to stay for a few more minutes after Rosalyn left, just to take in the beauty of the lake a little longer. Before Rosalyn could leave, Sylvie hugged her. "Your welcome. I hope we see each other again soon! I would love to talk more." She pulled away, smiling warmly. "Bye Rosa!" Sylvie said, deciding she wanted to have a nickname for her new friend. She sat back down and watched as her friend walked back towards the castle until she disappeared inside.
Sylvie turned to the lake again, sitting there for a few more minutes, taking in the beautiful scenery and smiling as she thought about seeing her new friend again.
