Sere stepped closer to the crowd of students. It seems like she's not the only one who's feeling free and responding to Professor Bluemethal's request to clean up the weird weeds that had appeared since nobody-knows-when. It's not the weekend so she assumed that today is not as busy as the other days. Sere had prepared herself by using protective gloves and also carrying pruning shears. Getting closer to the Grounds, Sere could hear the conversation of several pairs of students, and the others crouching alone by themselves under the trees.
Sere chooses to clean up the weird weeds in the Grounds, on the side closest to the Great Lake. Looking at the Grounds and Great Lake, there are several encounters that immediately come to Sere's mind. She has been at this school for almost two months. She even starts to feel a sense of ownership to this school, as evidenced by her willing to help get rid of the strange plants that suddenly appears.
Sere read that weird weeds could suddenly grow due to changes in weather or seasons. I should read more books related to weeds. I've never seen or read about dark-colored plants with strange watery-bulby like this. It's really disgusting actually, it smells like rotten meat. She determined herself afterwards, Okay, Sere! Let's get it done, right away!
Sere squatted down, started to touch the strange plant, cut the stem, and then pulled out the roots. It's quite difficult to pull out roots that grow so deep. Sere ensures that all the roots are removed to the deepest part. She hopes that this plant will not grow again after removed by the roots. It takes three hours to completely cut and uproot the weird weeds on the Grounds nearest to the Great Lake. Sere wiped the dripping-off-sweat with her arms, straightened her body, and relaxed her back.
Where is the pile for this weird weeds? Sere looked around and found it in one of the corner of the Grounds area. Ah, there it is! Sere bent down for the last time and picked up the pile of weird weeds, then walked to the corner of the Grounds area to put the leaf litter away.
Done! I'm sure I smell like rotten meat right now. I have to clean myself up before the next class starts. Sere rushed back to her dorm.

WEIRD WEEDS MOD POST
The plant was not easy to remove. The thick stalk went deep into the ground and it would require two hands and a mighty (actually several mighty) yanks to extricate the plant from the ground. The roots went deep and seemed to wrap around rocks and other plants. The remains of a dead woodland creature apparently strangled by the roots of the plant came up with it.
