The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Gryffindor. Of all the houses that she thought she would be sorted into, the one of bravery and perserverance certainly never crossed her mind. She wasn't brave, nor adventurous as much as her heart craved for it. A mouse had more courage in it's left foot than she had in her whole body. Of course, her Nan had told her that the Sorting Hat was never wrong. It sorted her father into Gryfindor and her dearly departed mother into Ravenclaw, a wonderful fit for both of them she was told. But her? She was a girl who read books in corners and spoke to owls when the mood arose. Her voice was small and her chin was always dragged down to her chest.
She wasn't brave, she was nervous.
She walked past the tables, counting 1,2,3 as she went. First went the green, then the raven blue and yellow until she finally came to the long table full of lions and patches of red. She sucked in a breath and took the first seat she found, closer to the end and much less crowded. Other first years were there as well, many she recognized from the train there. Everyone seemed to know one another already, chatting away and excitedly chattering about their classes. Be brave, Alba. she thought as she took a deep breath. "I-I'm Alba Flores." She said in a small tone, hoping that someone would hear her. She stuttered over her words slightly. "I-It's very nice to meet you."

The slender girl sighs, running a hand through her long silver waves, her red eyes peering at the outfit she'd deemed acceptable for the first day at yet another new school. The jeans are a dark blue, clinging to her legs like a second skin. Not what she would've chosen if the choice had been up to her, but she wanted to make her mother proud, something that had been difficult in the past few years. The shirt was a light green, accentuating her curves, something she'd protested against, but it was all for naught.
Lillian sighs once more, dropping her hands to her side. She was moderately pretty, in her eyes, with her high cheekbones and naturally arched eyebrows. Those features gave off a certain air of nobility, and paired with her long hair, they made her seem innocent, an accurate description until one actually got to know her.
(Time skip)
Her eyes scan the building as she walks to the front door, clutching the strap of her backpack tightly with one hand. She enters, her eyes darting around at all the unfamiliar faces. She groans 'It would appear that I am doomed to spend the school year alone.' She thinks to herself.

Damn hat, why let me choose if you already decided on my house?
Luciel couldn't help but curse. The hat truly annoyed him. But, he learned something crucial from those arguments too... His parents were former students here. Well, that's one step closer to his goal.
He made his way towards an exaggeratedly outstretched table, scratching his hazel mane in the process. 'A lion, huh...'
Suddenly, the annoyed look on his face disappeared.
"GOD!"
On top of the table was a wide array of dishes that flabbergasted the little pickpocket, the best thing he's ever stuffed in his mouth were just roasted potatoes, this... this was what heaven looked like to him! He increased his pace and arrived at the table's edge, rudely grabbing a nearby chicken leg.
Munch, munch, munch.
Luciel strutted along the sides and found an empty spot on the bench. The moment he sat down, he grabbed a steak and an apple, dismissing the curious glares he was receiving. Some sneered and some was astounded by his odd presence, they probably saw the dirty rags under his robe. Still, who cares?
Munch, munch, munch.
"Hey, how are you?" Greeted the young boy, though it was only out of respect since his mind was only filled with food, food and more food. Luciel kept on ravaging the delicacies as he minded his own business, unaware of the happenings around him.

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019
Tremaine was nearly hopping with excitement. Gryffindor, where dwell the brave at heart, would be his residence for the next seven years. His family would have been proud - both his mother and grandmother had been in Gryffindor, and though his grandfather had been sorted into Hufflepuff, he would've been proud of Tremaine even if he had gone to Slytherin - not that he would've stood for something like that.
He strode past the first table, decked out in green and silver. The Slytherin Table, he thought, narrowing his eyes purposefully in their direction. He supposed they would be enemies in school, and he might as well start now. Unfortunately, the combination of walking too fast and not looking where he was going led him to trip over the entirely too long cape of one of the Slytherins. He felt like he was going down in slow motion, trying to pull himself back up with sheer willpower. However, there's only so much that willpower can do, and he landed face-first, hitting his chin against the floor.
Fortunately for him, there was an outburst from the Gryffindor table at that very moment. It looked like a Slytherin had come over to their table and picked a fight with one of the new students. Tremaine cursed his bad luck, scrambling to his feet. Whatever was going on there was probably worth getting a good look at - especially if the Gryffindor won. He tried to peer over a rather tall Slytherin second year, but finally gave up and hurried past the remaining two tables to see what was going on. Unfortunately, by the time he had gotten to the Gryffindor table two teachers had broken up the fight and the students had been given detention.
Tremaine let out a little sigh and looked around to decide who to sit next to. There were four kids who had just arrived, and Tremaine immediately started looking them over as if weighing the pros and cons of having each as a friend. The first person was a brown-haired girl who looked absolutely disgusted about... something. Too teenager-y, Tremaine thought to himself. Or Slytherin-y. He turned his gaze to the next, a shy-looking girl who had just introduced herself : "I-I'm Alba Flores". Shy and stuttering. Well, he'd come back to that one. Another was an obvious Muggle-born, complete with muggle attire and pure white hair. Tremaine wasn't too fond of Muggle-borns - not that he was biased or anything - so he passed her over. Which left - no.
The last one was a devilish, raggedy boy that was stuffing his face with food and trying to talk as he did so. Tremaine wasn't even sure how he had been accepted into Hogwarts, but Tremaine was certainly not interested in making friends with those sorts of people. It seemed that the boy had just greeted Alba, but whether or not he was talking to her, Tremaine gave her no time to respond. He squeezed in between the "food boy" and Alba, sticking out his hand for Alva to shake. "Hi. I'm Tremaine Jarrow. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." He beamed internally, thinking of how proper and fancy he must sound.

The Gryffindor Table 2018-2019

The moment jay sat down they have been quiet, not a single argument or a fight or even just a small talk, it was probably best for them to keep quiet but they certainly did not want to look like some loner. Even though it was best to not have friends. Soon enough jay saw a boy who was eating in a such uncivilized way sitting across them. Then there was a stuttering girl, then a white haired girl that Jay didn’t seem to like already, and Alex who was sitting a few seats away from them at the moment, but it’s not like they would ever talk to him again. And just then another boy sat down, perhaps Jay could talk to him, but at the moment it was too soon for first impressions, then he introduced himself to the shy girl, he is certainly one of the first griffindors that I’ve seen introduce themself quite properly (Or what proper was in jays opinion).Interacting with @Tremaine Jarrow & @Alba Flores
Break the ice, Jay. They thought to in a clear voice they said, “May I join this conversation? I haven’t made much friends and I certainly would not like to look like a loner, anyways I’m Jay Victoria, a pureblood, oh and please do use they/them pronouns, please to meet you two,” Jay had very often been straight-forward with people. Maybe that was why they couldn’t make friends or just seem polite, besides the fact that Jay never had gotten the chance to even make a friend in the past.

Before Alba could respond, another person asked rather politely to join the conversation. Looking to see who had done so, Tremaine's immediate thought was, Slytherin. Which other house would have such blatantly green hair? Yep, definitely a Slytherin, probably up to trouble. As usual, he had jumped straight to conclusion based on some meaningless trait, but by the time the student had finished with their little speech, Tremaine had completely convinced himself that this person was here to disrupt the Gryffindor table with whatever Slytherin schemes were running through their mind.
Listening to them talking, Tremaine nodded along, trying to look nice. After all, he wouldn't be openly hostile unless they started it. And he didn't want to get in trouble, not so early in the school year. His family would be so disappointed in him.
The student started by expressing their concern about seeming like a loner. The edge of Tremaine's mouth quirked up at this endearingly odd way of introducing one's self. Of course, they were still a Slytherin, but they were a rather funny Slytherin. They followed up by introducing themselves as Jay Victoria, and then quickly followed up by presenting their pure blood status. Yep, definitely a Slytherin. Next was a quick request for gender-neutral pronouns, and Tremaine couldn't help but admire how straightforward they were about it. He was generally open to whatever gender or sexuality someone had, but he knew other students were not, and it must be hard in a school full of students with different opinions and prejudices.
Clearing his throat, Tremaine re-introduced himself to Jay. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Victoria." His grandmother and mother had told him to address other students by their surnames. That was the proper way to do it. "Oh course you're welcome to join our conversation. I'm Jarrow, Tremaine Jarrow." Despite the fact that he wasn't too fond of Slytherins, he felt a spark of hope that Jay might know his family surname. His grandmother, Eliza jarrow, had been quite influential in the Ministry before Voldemort had come to power, and a few pure blood families still knew the name. "Perhaps you've heard of my family?" Nothing wrong with a little prompting.

Jay smiled at the fact that he had addressed them as their surname, it didn’t happen often and they liked the way it sounded. Other times when they addressed other people by their surname they would get all dramatic about it and say to call them by their first name, though that only happens with people their age or just a little older. Then the boy introduced himself, Jarrow. What a familiar name, oh that name was in a book they have read before.
So of course Jay had heard of that name before, it was in a small book with a deep velvet cover all the way to the right and on the fifth shelf in the Victoria manor Library. “Why yes, I’ve heard of that name before in a book. Someone- Mind you I forgot who, helped quite a lot in the ministry of magic just a while before Voldemort did his little schemes,” Jay replied. They had an urge to go on ranting about the Long dead Voldemort and compare him to the great Grindelwald, but if they did it the conversation would most likely turn out into an argument. But why not add on just a little? “Voldemort sure did impact a lot of lives, in fact my guardians parents and family died in the war,” Jay said, but not how, they were definetly not going to say which team they were on. Not at all. At the moment their guardian was on the run, again. And that was very frustrating, especially after some random girl saw the letter, luckily enough the girl hasn’t told anyone else so Jay was on thin ice.

Tremaine puffed himself up with pride as Jay told him that they had heard of his family. That's right, read it and weep. His mother and grandmother had both been in Gryffindor, and it was entirely possible that the two's parents had been rivals during their school years. He wasn't sure now how he felt about this person - on one hand, they were a Slytherin, and a pureblood at that, which meant they probably thought they were better than him. On the other hand, they seemed well-meaning enough, and they had manners, something very few students had in this school.
Tremaine couldn't help flinching as Jay used Voldemort's name without batting an eyelash. He glanced around, wondering if anyone else had heard that. He knew it was probably rather silly, not being able to say his name now. But that was how he had learned it. His grandmother was convinced that he was still out there, in fact, and it was something that his mother and grandmother argued about often. Tremaine himself chose to believe the He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named was gone, gone for good. It was a less terrifying prospect, and it seemed entirely more likely.
The way Jay talked about Voldemort was interesting, a sort of neutral tone, and Tremaine replied with no small amount of fervor, "You-Know-Who was evil. I mean, I've met more than a few muggle-borns or half-bloods in England, and they're just as normal as you or me." His anger at He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named bubbled up as he remembered stories he had been told, and his grandmother telling him how wild and carefree his mother had been before he came to power. What he wouldn't have given for that mother instead. "You know, my grandfather is muggle-born. And he's just about the nicest person in the world." Now, now, this way no way to act on the first day of school. Tremaine took a deep breath, calming himself down.

Muggle borns aren’t as normal as you an me. Jay thought, in reality they weren’t sure what they actually thought of muggle born wizards/witches since they were taught to not like them. Jay felt frustration build up inside of them by just thinking about Voldemort and his idiotic moves, “Well, i’d have to say that there are probably a handful of people here with no family history at all,” Jay said, and they were referring to themself. To be honest they had no idea what happened to their actual parents so there was no meaning to Jays existence other than to suffer through a life of darkness and annoyance.
“What do you think of the ‘oh so great Harry Potter’?” Jay asked with a slightly obvious tone of sarcasm, I swear if he starts ranting about his ‘greatness’ I am so going to explode. Jay thought, it was kind of their pet peeve, ever since they started to read about him and see people talk about him as if he was the one who saved the whole universe it simply annoyed them a lot. Other times when they want to say something to shut them up they just start ranting about Grindelwald in the same way and then walk away, Jay sometimes liked to talk about Grindelwald but not in the way some people talk about Potter. “Oh and have you heard the students that talk about how they are in Potter’s house? In my opinion it’s no big deal, each and every house had someone great in them.”

Jay had Tremaine's full attention now. The Slytherins this year were terrible. Not two minutes ago one had come over to pick a fight with another student, and now this one was trying to provoke Tremaine. Well, he was going to put up a fight. His grandmother had told him not to listen to any of the ridiculous tosh the Slytherin students would throw at him.
He narrowed his eyes as Jay made an underhanded comment about Harry Potter. The guy had saved the entire world from an evil entity, couldn't he get a break? And of course he was proud to be in potter's house. And it wasn't just Potter: Ronald Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Dumbledore, Sirius Black, James Potter, Lily Evans, Remus Lupin, so many great people had been in Gryffindor.
"Not every house," Tremaine replied in a clipped tone. "What about Slytherin? I can't think of anyone 'great' off the top of my head. You-Know-Who? Evil. Malfoy? Jerk. Snape? Disgusting. And besides," he continued, returning to the original comment. "Why shouldn't we be proud of being in a house renowned for valor and bold action? After all, Harry Potter, however overrated he may be, did save the world. I guess we owe him for that one, huh? Any guy that can get rid of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named for eleven years just by being there is alright with me."
