A Little Out of Place
Alexa had spent almost 3 months at Hogwarts and although she was getting more used to being away from home she still found herself feeling homesick. It felt like all the other Ravenclaw girls and boys had known each other for ages and that everyone was part of their group that Alexa never got invited to. Perhaps it would help a bit if Alexa ventured out a bit more or at least tried to talk to the other kids but whenever she went to introduce herself, she would end up "chickening out". It wasn't that Alexa was shy - back home, she was famously known as the school chatterbox and she always had a circle of friends surrounding her. Now, the people at Hogwarts seemed strange and foreign; despite her mother being a witch, her parents chose to isolate their family on a farmhouse where Alexa had grown up with way more muggle friends. So, she wasn't really sure if these new kids would accept her when she didn't know anything about their world.
It was at moments like these when she found herself at the library. Lately, she spent an awful lot of time, sitting at the desk near a window, captivated by some old, dusty book trying to learn a bit more about the place she lived in. Secretly, she hoped to make a friend at the library - it would truly make Hogwarts feel more like home.

A Little Out of Place
Celeste had been noticing this specific girl, often in the library and the common room. She watched how the girl would walk around, with no specific aim. She noticed that her and the girl were similar in a way. A bit more strange in the world of strange people who possessed magic. You would think that would be impossible but for Celeste it wasn't. To the girl Celeste Ravens might classify completely as a stranger, nameless, except for her academic accomplishments around Hogwarts; as per Celeste's point of view, she would call the girl an acquaintance, to be noticing her that much would be abnormal as a complete stranger even if it was nothing that serious. That day in the library Celeste finally found some courage, she bit the bullet and approached the girl. "Hello. May I sit here? I've seen you around at the library as frequent as I.. it's rare..who are you?" Celeste asked. The other girl blinked at her, as if a bit astonished. "Uh.. I'm Celeste Ravens by the way" she added awkwardly, socialising was not Celeste's best trait. She had always been awkward around people, academically she may be blessed, but she was never thorough with the art of socialising.
