Ira honestly couldn’t help but gawk at Helena. Even after being embarrassed, she had managed to speak so elegantly and regain her composure, she wished she could do that. Regardless though, she was still concerned, nobody should have to do that, especially with so many caring people around her. But it didn’t really matter, if that’s what Helena wanted, then she currently deserved to get it. There had to be a reason that so many people were concerned about her, and even if she didn’t know why, it was likely a good one.
“I would like that.” Ira smiled slightly, contemplating courses of action, “I’m Ira, a first year Ravenclaw, but you probably already figured that much out.” She really didn’t know what to say, social interaction was definitely quite far from her forte.
Sitting down next to the blonde, she scratched the back of her neck, I’m impressed, she’s quite beautiful, has lots of people who care for her, and seems to have a wonderful personality. There only seems to be one piece missing, the people who sent the howler. Ira was curious about the situation but best not talk about it, the poor girl didn’t need to be reminded once more.
Ira rested her elbow on the table, cradling her face in the palm of her hand, the other hand dancing on her leg below the table. “Off topic, if there was one, your name is rather nice, I think it suits you.” She spoke honestly, the only things that she had ever had important to say were those off the top of her head. If some people detested that, so be it, she had no interest in people who had conflicting interests.
“By the way, I think it’s worth mentioning that your composure is quite impressive, I honestly think I’d need magic to pull it off as well as you did. But I’m glad you’re feeling better, if only slightly.” A smile tugged once more at Ira’s lips.

Madison smiled, seeing Helena sit up and continue eating, though she sat next to her in order to make sure she was ok. Listening to the ravenclaw girl, Ira as she called herself, Madison smiled as the brunette sat down on the other side of Helena, with Madison on the other. She put some more fruit on her own plate, passing the bowl down the table before putting some other bits of food on there too.
"Ira is right though Helena, you've kept your composure, and you're amazingly strong mentally. I know what the whole thing is like trying to live up to parental expectations but what i said before still stands, they're not you and they can't live your life, only you can do that. Yeah our parents can give us advice, but we don't have to take it" Madison said with a smile as she finished her breakfast and gave Helena a quick side hug to let her know that she was here for her.
Madison hoped that if the time came when she needed her friends, that she'd have as many friends around her as Helena did in that moment right now.

October 9th 23-------------- Besieged (Monday of All Disasters) ------- -------Great Hall-------
------- ------- Remedy's Dialogue #796f4e------- -------
When it came to Monday's, there was a peculiar elegance noted in the air.
Whether it was the welcomed hush that enveloped the groggy busybodies or the usual lax in the day's workload, the wolfish girl simply reveled in the calming essence of the day. On this particular Monday, however, Remedy was feeling especially renewed after her encounter following her departing the Fall Ball; her countenance brought on a relaxed smile as she brought her Earl Grey tea to her cherry-tinted lips then sighed in satisfaction. Placing her mug back onto the wooden surface, the Slytherin held loosely onto the cup allowing its heat to warm her hands as its sweet scented steam toasted her features. There was the usual murmur of voices and occasionally the instance of sudden loud laughter and shouts scattered across the Great Hall, and Remedy would embrace the calm before thrusting herself into the middle of a conversation that had captivated her interest.
Deep into chatter among the vipers regarding gossip and and tales, Remedy couldn't help but assume dominance and steer the discussion to her choosing. While intently heeding her fellow snakes’ words, Remedy would be collecting random tidbits of useless knowledge all while presenting a grin and a wily look in her eye; her candor smug as though hinting at knowing secret insight to her audience.
With a raised chin and excellent posture, the girl swatted hair back dramatically as her eyes befell the Hufflepuff table appearing unaffected of the events that had since transpired. Her darkened orbs scanned one end of the Hufflepuff table to the other but was interrupted as the post delivered with a raining of parcels and letters. A letter dropped before Remedy boasting the Norden's golden and navy blue seal, but didn't bother opening it in the presence of wandering eyes. Leaning downwards to slide the parcel into her satchel, a screeching voice broke the silence. A howler, no less. An arrogant laugh spewed from her lips merging with chuckles releasing from her companions, none of the vipers harboring pity for the unlucky recipient of the howler.
It wasn't until her surname was shrieked that Remedy paid more attention:
'THE NORDEN'S HAVE MENTIONED YOUR SPECULATIONS WITH FILTHY MUDBLOODS. THEY BETTER NOT BE TRUE, YOUNG LADY, OR THERE WILL BE DIRE CONSEQUENCES!'
A grimace graced her lips as a memory struck the ravenous girl who had momentarily forgotten debriefing her parents about being 'worried' about Helena's possible actions the day after the Fall Ball, although clearly stated her backings were simply mere speculations. Remedy had never received a response on such matters from her mum and dad, unsure if they received the letter or cared, but it seemed her father took the matters into his own hands.
The ambient silverware clanking and chatter came to a screeching halt as kids swiveled from their stools to listen to the howler, murmurs of ambivalence erupting from the mass. Remedy wore a caustic gaze as she observed Helena from across the hall, tension building in her jaw from a burning desire for an abrupt reunion between girls as they maintained eye contact.
The speculations were out now, clear as day, and now Helena had no reason to hide behind that naive facade of hers. The Slytherin gleamed with pride yet held her composure on the surface, a subtle yet sly grin radiating her previous caustic gaze, as the girl slowly began to depart from the Slytherin table. Sauntering with purposeful strides as she paved her path towards the Hufflepuff table, Remedy stared intently at Helena with her signature smirk. The Hufflepuff seemed to repose in a pitiful crowd, overtly basking in the attention of her classmates, prompting an eyeroll from Remedy; it appeared the Vipress wasn't the only one who once was baited once to believe Helena's naive facade.
As the Slytherin made for the exit of the Great Hall, the girl swiveled her head around to peer in Helena's direction once more. With a chuckle under her breath, she winked at the Hufflepuff tauntingly, as if silently assuring that this wasn't the last they'd see of each other.

•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•——————✧◦♚◦✧——————⋆•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•Though it seemed as if the chatter around the great hall resumed after Helena’s utter embarrassment from the howler. The young girl was slowly becoming a tad bit more comfortable in the matter. After all she had her friends and a new friend at that.
The golden haired girl listened to Maddison and Ira in a way complement her on keeping a calm composure. Helena seemed to blush light as a pink cloud of dust appeared on her ivory pale face. The young girl's sea blue eyes sparkled and radiated with uncertainty and confusion but she knew it would get better for sure.
Even though this Monday started off as an emotional rollercoaster it will get better. Though Helena did decide she may not attend classes for the day the young girl could not handle the teaching atmosphere at the moment.
The golden haired girl grabbed a silver fork grabbing a piece of a waffle to place in her mouth. Her sea-blue eyes scan the Great hall curiously. It seemed as if the regular morning energy was returned though Helena could hear some snickering and whispers and the young girl seemed to shrug it off. It was not as bad as it originally was.
Helena glanced over towards the Slytherin table her sea blue eyes landed on a certain ravenette haired girl. Helena noted that the other girl was heading out of the Great hall. Remedy Norden was always glorious and breathtaking to say the least. Helena looked up to Remedy in a way she always admired the girl for how she puts herself up and how she acts. Remedy always seemed like the type that Helena envied, someone who spoke their mind and one who knew what they wanted when they wanted it.
Seeing the Slytherin girl walk out of the hall with a wink and her usual smirk on her face Helena could not help but feel her blood boil. The young girl's mind swirled and swam with many thoughts and the thought of betrayal weighed heavily on the young girl. Icy blue eyes glared daggers as the young ravenette haired girl walked out.
Chewing her food a bit annoyed Helena could not help but feel rather angry with the other girl as if she did not show a sign of kindness or comforting words.
Helena closed her eyes slightly before opening them slightly the young girl glanced around smiling softly at her friends playing gently with her food.
“Thank you Ira and Madison. I should not allow something like this to ruin my day or my life at that.”
Helena smiled at the girls softly. Her blue eyes reflecting over the words Madison said she was correct for sure. She did not have to listen to what her parents say about ruling her life in a way. Helena had the right to do what she wanted with her life and the young girl felt that Madison was correct.
But the only question Helena was wondering how she would actually take control of her life. It would be rather difficult in a way would it not be? After all Helena had no idea what she even wanted to do.
Helena glanced over towards Madison uncertainty dancing around her sea blue eyes like little waves rippling around the ocean.
“Madison how does one even take control of their own life? I mean it seemed rather difficult.”
Helena questioned Madison carefully; the young girl seemed uncertain, but she rather learned. After all Helena wanted to be better in a way the young girl wished to be a bit better. Helena wished to be someone that can be better than her family in away someone to prove herself happily to everyone her friends and family.

Madison turned to face Helena and smiled at her, "exactly Helena. Yeah getting a howler sucks, though if anything it's a little nicer than getting yelled at face to face by the person, but don't let this ruin your day" she says with a smile.
Madison heard the name Norden being said during the screaming of the howler. Her mother knew the Nordens through her work in the Ministry and her mother also knew Cadence Leveret, who, from what her mother had told her, was related to the Nordens. She also knew the Nordens, having met Remedy at Madam Malkin in August. The two girls were good friends, with Madison having gone to Remedy's house not long after they had first been introduced. She watched as Remedy winked at Helena and walked out of the Great Hall, though she then turned her attention back to Helena, who asked her another question.
Madison listened to the question and thought about it for a while. How should I approach this? Madison thought in her head, before she turned to Helena and smiled, "well firstly, you only listen to the people around you who you know truly care about you, and second, you just keep it in your head that, although you may make mistakes or screw up sometimes, it's ok. No one in life is perfect and, though some may look like they are, everyone has their own downfalls and successes, you just have to find the path you're most comfortable with and keep walking along that path, because, no matter what blockages may come in front of you, you'll be able to get through it with the support of your friends" Madison says, giving Helena a sweet side hug.

9th October 2023 Great Hall
Amidst the clinking of cutlery and the idle chatter filling the Great Hall, the tension in the air slowly eased as Helena insisted she was okay. Relieved, the dirty-blonde boy sat back slightly, leaving the girl a little more breathing space. Still, he couldn't understand why anyone would say something that they likely knew would cause this to happen.
As the Hufflepuff girls glanced towards the exit, Harley turned slightly, curious to see what or who they were looking at. Alas, he only peeked a glimpse of the Slytherin girl leaving the hall. Was that the person the howler mentioned? Perhaps, but he couldn't be sure of that. The name didn't ring a bell at all. Either way, he simply ignored it for the time being, turning his attention back at the golden-haired girl. He listened as Madison gave some advice. Great advice if we're being honest, especially the bit about friends. As far as Harley was concerned, he'd be there for Helena whenever she needed him.
Something in Madison's words greatly inspired him, his lips curling into a soft, gentle smile. "Me dad always used to say— 'People who want to hurt others are often the most miserable inside.'— Don't let it get to you, that's what they want; to hurt you when you're already down 'cause they know they couldn't otherwise." A sentiment Harley always took to heart.

Landon was surprised at how quickly Helena seemed to pull herself together. He knew that she was definitely shaken up by getting the Howler. Pretty much anyone would be. But Landon had never gotten a Howler before, so he didn't fully know what it was like. He just felt bad that Helena had gotten one. He assumed it was from her family, based on what the Howler had said, and he couldn't even imagine his family sending him such a letter. His family was a very supportive one. They hadn't even expressed disappointment with him being a Hufflepuff. He was the first Hufflepuff in the family in generations, so it was a little bit of a surprise.
Landon moved to rest a hand on Helena's shoulder gently as he listened to everyone talk. He wasn't as good with words, but he wanted her to know that he was there to support her too. She seemed almost eerily calm, and he had a feeling that she was trying to hide how she really felt right now. He didn't notice the Slytherin girl who seemed to catch Helena's eye, but he did notice that Helena started to look a little irritated. "I... I'm sorry," he said quietly. "I don't mean to crowd you," he added. He didn't want her to feel trapped by the group of people surrounding her. He didn't think that she was mad at him necessarily, but he didn't want to make her emotional state worse.
Landon listened to the advice that Madison and Harley gave Helena. It was good advice, something he needed to focus on sometimes too. Landon often cared too much about what other people thought about him, even though he hadn't really given them much of a reason to think poorly of him. Outside of having bad handwriting, being disorganized, and a bit of a nerd, he was a fairly unremarkable person himself. He didn't think that he drew enough attention to really have people think badly of him. "I... I agree with them," he said softly. "Hurt people hurt people," he said wisely. "Not that it is any excuse for people to treat others poorly though," he added, not wanting it to seem like he was defending whoever had caused this.

•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•——————✧◦♚◦✧——————⋆•❅──────✧❅✦❅✧──────❅•Helena listened to all of her friends quietly soaking in their every word. Her heart fluttered a bit, sending a sense of relief into her heart. Helena was not used to many people showing her affection and caring about her. Her pools of ocean blue eyes seemed to swell with tears slightly; the burning sensation in her eyes was hot. Pushing the tears back slightly the young girl could not help but feel loved. Having a side hug from Madison from the wise words from everyone around her she felt rather welcomed and loved. Feeling the gentle warm embrace of Landons hand on top of her shoulder the young girl could not understand clearly how she felt at this moment besides feeling loved.
Even though the young girl felt betrayed due to her the situation she also felt relieved to know she had people who truly cared about something she truly never really understood in a way. Sure the young girl was close to her mother and she loved her but the love from her friends seemed a tad bit different. Even the thought of Remedy made the young girl envie the other girl wishing she would have came over to her. Helena wished to speak to Remedy to understand why her parents wrote to her parents. Helena knew deep down their was a good reason, but the girl was overly confused; she had no idea how to possibly feel betrayed, but was it truly Remedy’s fault? Did she know this would happen?
Helena’s thoughts seemed to spiral out of control as she wondered more and more how thing got to this situation and why her family was furious about what she even did wrong. But the young girl knew for certain Maddison was correct she had to take her life in her own hands. Helena was determined to not follow her family's footsteps after all this is her chance to prove herself to everyone that she is capable of doing anything if she puts her mind to it.
Hearing the soft voice of Landon apologizing Helena smiled softly placing her hand on top of his. Not realizing she had a sour look the young girl smiled softly up at the second year Hufflepuff boy. Kind sea blue eyes seemed to show a hint of determination and caring as she gazed softly up at Landon. Her ivory pale hand on top of his hand though in comparison her hand was slightly smaller.
“You are fine Landon do not worry. Thank you. All of you. I could not ask for better friends honestly.”
Helena softly spoke as she smiled brightly at everyone sitting around her. The golden haired girl could not feel but rather enlightened knowing she actually was cared for even by those she barely knew. Helena had a feeling the next six years would be rather easy especially with friends like these. Those you can count on and trust. Those who actually cared about her she felt rather overjoyed and heart warmed at the very thought of having those who cared about her so much.
