Damion had decided to go back home for one day. It was not that far... Anyways. He had thought that he would be home for at least the Christmas day. He didn't want to miss out on Christmas. He loved Christmas as a festival. He loved that they could get to decorate trees and get gifts from Santa. Well... if Santa was giving him gifts he would wish for Kim.
He knew that Dylan would be home. He wanted to meet him soon but right now, he was at home. He was hoping that he would hear from Dylan. How his life was going on. He really loved that they were still so close. Despite being in different schools. Well... he was not going to lose contact with Dylan.
Speaking of losing contact, he wondered what Kim would be doing. He had just seen the younger Gryffindor the previous day. And well he had missed the younger boy. He was crushing on him so badly. He was sitting in his room.... pondering about Kim.
He heard a loud knock. Who was coming at this time? It was Christmas Day... Maybe it was Dylan..... Dylan would be back in town... He walked down to living room and opened the door. There was no one. He was wearing his Christmas PJs. He just took a seat wondering what he was going to do now. He had a few days before another ball or party that he had to attend. He looked up at where he was sitting and saw a Mistletoe and smiled. He stood up and leaned against the wall making kissing sounds with his arms crossed so they were on his back.
It passed you up and slipped you by. But we're all bound to end up back to where we started

| ─── | It was time for yet another ball.
Kim had already been to 20 of them and was feeling rather exhausted from all of the constant travel. Sure, it wasn't as if he had to take a plane, train or car like muggles. But traveling everywhere, regardless of the distance or time it took, drained him of his energy most of the time. A sigh escaped his lips and he shook his head a little, preparing himself for yet another party to come. The invitation the Sato family had received had told them an enchanted sleigh would pick the guests up in front of their place. Unless otherwise specified and although Kim would have liked to have just done that, Damion had other plans for them today. He'd asked him earlier, via owl, whether Kim could meet him at his place and they could go to the Dupont Ball together. The green haired teen had agreed and gotten permission from his parents to do so, while they attended another pureblood ball at the same time. Kim had told Damion he'd meet up with him before the ball, so they could go together, but ended up realizing on the day of the party that they hadn't agreed on a time to meet. Damion had spoken with him before and expressed his desire for Kim to come a little bit early. So they could spend some time together. This was why Kim had decided to come around lunchtime, thinking this would give them enough time. He wasn't sure what Damion wanted to do but if he wanted to do something before the ball, everything would be open around lunch time. There was no point in going in the morning, everything would be closed and there wasn't much either of them could do together. Kim threw some Floo Powder into the fireplace, waited for the flames to rise up and then spoke the words clearly. "White Mansion." He stepped into the fireplace and emerged into Damion's house, just in time to almost meet up with the other boy's pursed lips. "Whoa." Kim exclaimed, having almost walked himself into giving Damion a kiss. He'd managed to avoid the danger though due to his agility and a smirk came to his own lips. "You practicing again? You still haven't been able to find someone to do that with?" Kim asked with an arched brow. He kind of wondered who the lucky person would be. The idea that the person Damion was interested in was him never crossed his mind. Not even when Kim had helped him out by giving him his first kiss back in early October. Why would Damion be into him? It wasn't as if he liked him, right? At the time, Damion had begged him to help him out with his first kiss. Even though Kim had said he should save it to give to someone he truly liked or loved, Damion had been adamant that he needed experience beforehand, to help him make the memory one to remember later. |

Damion had never thought that he would fall for someone who was so much younger than him; not that it bothered him. He was not bothered by that fact at all. He just hoped that it was not an unrequited love. It was after all something that he had not felt in like forever. He was just hoping that he was not making Kim feel uncomfortable. He didn’t want that to happen ever. He never wanted someone to feel something that they were not feeling just because he was feeling something for them. He would hate that so much. He couldn’t stop decorating the house. He was so curious to see how this year Christmas would go. He was not sure what new adventures life held for him.
Damion was happy that he was home for a while. Though he had missed being home, he wanted to see things that happened during vacations in Hogwarts or around Hogwarts. He had not witnessed any balls. But this year he was determined to attend them. He was in love and wanted to sort of show people who he was hanging out with. He was not sure if Kim felt the same way. But then why would Kim would have kissed him? He shrugged at the thought. He was not sure if the kiss that they shared back in October; was something that indicated their feelings. Or just something that Kim did just because Damion asked him to. Who knew?
Damion had asked Kim to come over and was not sure when the younger boy would come. He just hoped that Kim would not ditch. He couldn’t be sure but he was hoping that Kim would come. He was not sure if Dylan was going to come or not. Not that he didn’t want Kim to meet Dylan. But he was sorta not sure how his friend would react to meeting the boy Damion was crushing on. He was sure that Dylan wouldn’t say anything that would make him feel bad.
Damion blushed as he heard Kim’s voice. He straightened up and looked at him. "Yes I am practicing again" Damion said still blushing. He was not sure he’d find someone as amazing as Kim when it came to finding someone to kiss or fall for. He shrugged at the second part of the sentence about finding someone to do it with. "Well not exactly." He said cryptically. He was not sure if he was ready to tell how he felt about Kim to Kim. He looked at him and smiled. "You made it." He said excitedly. "Thank you for coming." He added. He was not sure what else to say to Kim. Kim sorta made him speechless. He was fiddling with his fingers. He was sorta nervous. He didn’t know why he acted this way whenever he was around Kim. "So how are you doing, Kim?" Damion asked with a smile as he looked at him hoping that his blush had faded away.

Even though he hadn't given his word, he had said he would do his best to come, given the circumstances. As long as his parents didn't want him to do something else, Kim would go to him. And here he was. Although, he hadn't expected to walk in right when Damion was practicing kissing! It was kind of cute. Whenever Damion blushed, Kim always wondered what it was that had made him do so. If only to tease him later on. As Damion responded to his question about finding someone in a rather cryptic manner, Kim raised a brow. But he didn't press the matter. Not right now at least. There were other things to do here now! Damion's next words made his lips twitch a little with amusement. "Mm. I am here." As the other boy thanked him for coming and then asked how he was, Kim shrugged his shoulders. "Eh, I'm a little tired. But that's to be expected from all the balls I've been to so far. What about you?" He asked. Damion was from a pureblood family too. How many balls had he attended so far? Or was his family not as adamant about attending as many as they possibly could? A yawn escaped Kim's lips before he could stop it. "That being said, I'm curious to know what you have planned for us!" Damion had asked for him to come over to his place before going to the Dupont Ball later on that evening. So what did he have in mind for them to do before the ball took place? Kim couldn't help but be curious about what Damion wanted to do with him. This would be the first time he'd ever come here. |

Damion was happy to see Kim there at his house. He was very excited that Kim had kept his word and to be honest he was sort of surprised in a good way. He smiled and blushed since he was practicing kissing when Kim walked inside. He was a little ashamed by it. Though not very much. He wanted to hint to Kim to kiss him under the mistletoe but he was not sure how to go about saying that. He was hoping that he would be able to say it eventually as the night progressed. He was totally crushing on the younger boy there. He was not sure how his heart was gonna react to anything when it came to being with Kim.
"Of course you are. You seem to be a man of your words!" He said laughing a little. He looked at him with concern in his eyes as he heard that Kim was tired. Of course Kim would be tired if he was going to many balls. Damion himself was a little tired but he was still eager to see what other balls there were. "I am excited right now." Damion said as he put his hand on his mouth. Acting like an idiot was something he did every time he was near Kim.
Damion looked at him and was surprised with what he was hearing the younger boy say. "I was thinking…" He bit his lips not sure how to continue with what he wanted to say to be honest. His eyes looked at the mistletoe that was not very far from where they were standing and then back to Kim. "Maybe…" He said a little nervously. "We could kiss under the…. Um… mistletoe." He blushed even more now that he had said what he was saying something like this.
It passed you up and slipped you by. But we're all bound to end up back to where we started

| ─── | A faint smile came to his lips.
"Excited? My interest is piqued." Kim said with a raised brow, wondering about the cause. Damion spoke and then hesitated, which made Kim tilt his head to the side a little. He was patient though, as he didn't like making people feel rushed when they wanted to get something out. And then it came out and Kim blinked. "Kiss? Why would you want to do that? Also, why under the mistletoe? That's some kind of plant, right?" He glanced over at the supposed plant nearby and returned his attention to Damion again. "Is this some kind of muggle tradition or something you heard about?" He asked. When it came to kissing, Kim was on the fence about it. Back in the past, he'd been waiting to have his first kiss with someone around the time he graduated from Hogwarts. But that had been dashed when Felix had stolen it from him at the Blossom Ball. The blasted pretty boy had also stolen his heart at the time too. Not that he'd ever admit that to anyone, not even to himself. An imperceptible sigh escaped his lips at the thought of Felix. He didn't want to think about him right now. When it came to Damion... Kim was hesitant. Not because he felt awkward or uncomfortable. Not because he had feelings for him. It was mostly just an uncertainty as to why Damion would want this. Did he want to do this to bring them closer together, so he could take advantage of him later on? Or did he have feelings for him? There was also the possibility it was something completely different and platonic for wanting a kiss from him. That was what Kim was hoping for, but at the same time he didn't really know how to ask Damion. Well, he did, but talking about feelings regarding kissing was a bit... nerve-wracking for him. If Damion responded in the affirmative that it was some kind of muggle tradition he'd heard about that he wanted to explore, Kim would agree. If he said otherwise, Kim would let him down gently to ensure he knew he wasn't into him. The ball was in Damion's court so to speak and it all depended now on how Damion responded to his words. After all, Kim's response was a natural one, nearly everyone would have reacted the same way. Asking to kiss someone out of nowhere wasn't something that happened every day to someone!!! |
