Unexpected!!

Damion had always found pleasure in reading. So it was given that Damion would be, when he had some free time, in the library. If he was not in the main area of the Library. Then he would be in the shelves checking out new books or seeing something that he might have missed.
So today, Damion had thought that it would be nice to spend some time in the library's shelves. He wanted to see and check out some books out. His mind couldn't stop thinking about the younger Gryffindor. Absent mindedly he been looking through the shelves.
Damion was not paying much attention. He had never been this distracted ever. He was not going to read any book there but just be standing there day dreaming about the boy that he had been crushing on secretly- maybe not so secretly. He had enlisted himself in all his clubs- most of the clubs run by Kim. Sighing he looked at the book in front of him. He opened it; and stood there leaning against the shelf with the book open in his hands. His mind still going back to Kim; or Charming as he wanted to think of him as.
Damion turned the page of the book without paying much attention to what was written on the page. Damion was trying his best not to be so lost but he couldn't do anything about it. His mind kept thinking about Kim.
It passed you up and slipped you by. But we're all bound to end up back to where we started

| ─── | It was Tuesday, October 4th, 2022.
Directly after classes had let out for the afternoon, Kim had gone back to his dorm to change outfits. Picking up Puffie, the orange haired teen headed off to the library, dressed in a comfortable white t-shirt, blue jeans and a dark blue windbreaker. Tiny simple hoop earrings adorned his earlobes and a thin silver necklace with his first name on it dangled from around his neck. It had been a birthday gift from his mother back in the past and he still wore it from time to time. The usual diamond pride bracelet could be seen around his left wrist and a few rings. Upon entering the library, Kim headed for the Transfiguration section. It was the class he found the most difficult to do homework in. He had no problem with casting the spells but when it came to homework... well that was a different story for him. Therefore, he was going to the library to find some books on the subject to try and make it a little easier for him. Rounding the corner, Kim came upon a familiar face. Damion was standing there, leaning up against one of the shelves with a book in his hands. Ah, it was a Transfiguration book, one he actually wanted to look at. Trying to smile, Kim walked up. He seemed engaged in the book. Raising a hand into the air, he gave his trademark greeting. "Yo." Kim said, letting his eyes linger on him. "Uh, you taking that book out? If not, can I get it when you're done?" Kim asked. There was no rush, as long as he wasn't taking the book out that is, he had time to spare right now. |

This day had started like any other day. He had thought that it would be nice to spend this day of his in the library and just have some fun. Yes Damion thought that reading was fun. As it took him to places that his mind could imagine and the words of the book seemed like friends to him. He had been a loner for a while and whenever whatever time he had on his hand he would spend it reading. Anyways, he was not that lost in the book as he had someone else to think about. The younger Gryffindor boy that he had sorta being crushing on. Yes the boy that went by the name of Kim Aoki. He was pretty sure that the boy was very pretty. And sometimes Damion wished that he had not fallen for him but well his heart desired that.
Damion had taken one of the books out and he was reading it. He was not sure why but he was pretty interested in it. It was a transfiguration book and magic still interested him. He was still very surprised to see what magic could do. He was going to use the book as reference for the assignment he was working on. He couldn’t look away from the book. The book was very interesting indeed. He was not looking around or noticing who was there. He was so absorbed in the book.
Damion was not paying attention to his surroundings and jumped a little as he heard Kim’s voice. "Hi! Jeez you scared me." He said shaking his head gently. "No I am not taking the book out." He said with a smile. "Sure you can." He said looking at him and smiling. "I just need to write a few things from this book in my notebook then you can take it." He said as he nervously played with his hands. Kim always made him nervous. "How have you been?" He asked sheepishly.
It passed you up and slipped you by. But we're all bound to end up back to where we started

| ─── | A faint smirk came to his lips.
"Pretty jumpy, aren't you? You doing something you shouldn't be doing?" Kim asked. A brow was raised as he studied him for a few seconds, partly joking and partly serious. When Damion told him he wasn't taking the book out and just needed it to write down a few things, Kim nodded. "Great!" He said and let his blue eyes flicker over the slightly older student before him. "You using it for your class? Is it for some kind of assignment or are you just trying to get ahead of the others?" Kim asked with a faint twitch of his lips. Surely it couldn't be for the same reason he wanted it, he seemed really skilled. As in, Damion didn't seem like the type to be having trouble with Transfiguration. When he asked how he'd been, Kim shrugged his shoulders. "Eh, same old same old, nothing really new. You?" He asked, letting his eyes flicker over Damion. "How are you doing in the clubs you're in? I've noticed you're in almost all the ones I run or co-run. Are you feeling good about them?" Kim didn't want him to feel uncomfortable in any of them. He wanted the members of his clubs to always have fun at the meetings.... Clubs were supposed to be fun at all times. Yes, they were supposed to be educational, but that didn't mean they couldn't be fun at the same time. Kim idly wondered what some of Damion's favorite Transfiguration spells were but didn't ask right now. He could always ask later on, unless the topic came up sometime within the next few minutes. |
