"No worries, when you're ready come find me. I know all the tricks for keeping the dye where it's meant to go, nobody wants streaky dye jobs." Elena frowned as if bad hair was the worst thing that could happen to someone. Even though the girl knew that wasn't correct, it was still nice to live in the moment, "I guess ombre is technically in though, but if you want that then a proper barber shop would be a better choice. Sorry if I'm rambling, I just don't entirely know what to talk about."

'Don't mention your past, your fractured mind isn't what defines you. This kid is nice, sweet, charming. Just talk to him like you do to people you don't want to scare away. People like this make the shadows creep further away. You don't need to be scared when you're among friends.' The mantra ran through Elena's head ever second she kept talking.

"I'm glad you do, it's an important part of life." Elena tilted her head slightly, "Are you an artist by any chance? Or know a Rorie Thompson? Maybe Bella Hills? Your name seems familiar, I think I've heard it before somewhere. Can't figure out where though."

"I draw" He smiled friendly as he made the coresponding gesture. "And yes, me and Ro are pretty good friends." He perked up, only to allow a small frown lock onto his brow afterwards. "I haven't seen her for a while now though." Where had she been? He remembered her behaviour in the common room and their conversation in the owlery. He'd have to set out and find her some day soon. Perhaps she was having some trouble with her schoolwork?

Drops of water flicked his brow, causing the boy to wake from his absent mind. "But we can discuss who's and whatnots inside I think. I don't plan on getting soaked today!" he jumped to his feet and quickly swung down a few branches. "C'mon then lassie. They haven't taught me how to pull an umbrella from my sleeve yet." He smirked at his own joke and jumped down to the ground.

They must've both been insane climbing in trees like this. Monkeys, that's what Hugh's father would have called them if he'd have spied them in there. Though he would not have minded them doing so. That free spirit is what allowed Hugh to live in freedom even though he was closed off in a small village where none were allowed to learn of his magic. His father was great. At least, that's what Hugh thought.

"She's one of my best friends! I think." Elena looked a bit worried, "I haven't seen her around either, I hope she's okay..."

Rorie had been curiously absent from the school since pretty much the start of October, leaving Elena almost all alone again, which made the girl worried. Friends she truly trusted were few and far between, although this kid seemed trustworthy. One of Elena's skills was her ability to tell whether or not someone was good, and Hugh looked like he actually might be.

Elena grinned and climbed down a few branches almost falling off one of them, but eventually making it halfway down, "I don't plan on getting stuck out here in the rain either Charming! It'd really mess up my hair, and that would just ruin my aesthetic."

Elena's jumped to the ground and raised an eyebrow, "Umbrellas? I thought handkerchiefs were traditional! You could really rock a handkerchief, it'd really add to the whole chivalrous Gryffindor thing you have going on. Maybe I'll get you one for Christmas, a nice silk one too. Maybe even with a monogram."

Elena smiled and whipped her long coat behind her, then put her pirate hat back on, before gesturing to the castle, "Shall we Sir Lowe?"
