Nighttime Shenanigans Closed

Kenni held the candle as she soundlessly crept up the long, large staircase to the top of the astronomy tower. She hadn't been able to sleep and she was looking for a familiar touch of home, something that always, no matter where, when, or what circumstance, made her feel safe; the stars. She loved the Ravenclaw tower's view, but it didn't suffice. She needed to be closer to the heavens. She needed to feel as though she were standing amongst them. The constellations were her friends and the moon was her teacher. Or so she felt. Whenever she felt a sense of loss or loneliness, the sky was where she found her refuge. When she was back home, she used to sneak out onto the little roof that was just outside of her window and watch the stars and moon chase the sun across the sky. She would never feel tired, she just felt peaceful. It was the place where her head was clear and her heart was at ease. She needed that tonight. She hadn't been able to sleep well for days. Her thoughts of her home had burdened her dreams. She needed a release. and this was the only thing she knew.

So, as she climbed the ever inclining staircase, she climbed to a place where she knew she could finally rid herself of exhaustion and a restless mind. She climbed the staircase into the night.
