Transfiguration and Fascination
"No, no, no, no, no" were the words flooding through Constance's head and she ran her way up the stairs from the Slytherin common room to her Transfiguration class. She hastily made her way across the halls and up the stairs, her confidence in making it to class on time quickly dwindling. How had she managed to be late? Zero clue. She was simply relaxing down in the common room when it suddenly hit her- class was about to start. Trekking up the countless staircases, with a bag full of textbooks, parchment papers, and quills along with her wand in her right hand, Constance felt as if barely any oxygen was entering her lungs. Nevertheless, she continued her hike upward, determined to be as early as someone late to class could be.
Running into the Transfiguration classroom, Constance's face was as red as could be and she was certainly out of breath. Looking around, she could only see one person without a deskmate. She began the walk of shame to the empty desk, keeping her head down to avoid the shaming gazes of the professor and her fellow classmates. This walk of shame was a particularly fast one, Constance wanted the embarrassment to be over as soon as possible. Falling into her seat, Constance accidently let go of her bag in a haphazardly manner, only drawing more attention to herself. Mumbling an apology, Constance began to organize her books and other materials, avoiding eye contact with the student sitting next to her. "Learn better time management, Constance", she mentally scolded herself. Much to her own dismay, Constance did not hear a single word about what they would be learning today, she was much too preoccupied with organizing her things and controlling her emotions.
Constance just began to imitate what the other students were doing, in hopes that she would not appear totally lost. While pretending to be reading a chapter in her textbook, Constance could feel the gaze of her deskmate on her.

Transfiguration and Fascination
Kat speaking English - x
Kat speaking Russia = x

Kat speaking Russia = x

Kat might not be the most punctual human being but somehow she got to class on time and before everyone else, as students piled into the classroom, the ones who knew her greeted her and the others nodded their head in acknowledgement. Before she knew it class had began and every single desk was filled except the one next to her, although she's slightly saddened by this she knows it won't be the only time she has no deskmate.
As the teacher told them to open their books to chapter 2 and asked Kat for a summary of the first paragraph, the classroom door slammed open and a student rushed inside. The statement that Kat was giving to the teacher was cut short.
When Kat looked she seen a frazzled girl with long brown hair had interrupted the class by coming in late, even she only got a glimpse of her eyes, Kat seen the intelligent Hazel color of them. Unexpectedly the girl found her way to the seat next to Kat and opened her book to the wrong chapter, much to Kat's amusement.
"First page of chapter 2. I have to say you kind of stole my thunder but I'll let you slide just this once. I'm Yekaterina but people just call me Kat." Kat internally groaned at how stuck-up she sounded, "I'm not as stuck-up as I just sounded, stuck-up people are smart, I'm just barely above average." The last few parts of the statement are jokes but the serious tone Kat used makes them seem true.
Her ditzy but focused green eyes peer at her through her bangs and analyze the girl as she waits for her response.

Transfiguration and Fascination
Constance looks up at her deskmate with an embarrassed gaze. Taking note of her face, Constance realized it was another Slytherin first year. Someone who she's definitely seen in the common room, but never actually made conversation with.
Frantically turning the pages of her textbook to the correct chapter, Constance felt grateful that her deskmate was willing to help her out instead of ignoring her, or worse, make fun of her. "Thanks...Kat", Constance managed to mutter out.
Constance couldn't tell if Kat was joking or not with her latter statements, and she chalked it up to it being some sense of humor that she didn't understand.
Still feeling quite embarrassed from her grand entrance, Constance lowered her head back down and pretending to look busy in her textbook. "Sorry for interrupting."
After a few minutes of organizing her things and getting settled, Constance's negative feelings were soon coming to an end. She tried her best to focus on the lesson, but truth be told, she was quite interested in her desk mate. Constance glances back over at Kat, taking note of her platinum blond hair and bright green eyes. However, Constance decided that it would be best to start focusing on the task at hand: Transfiguration. Noticing she forgot to take her quill out of her bag, Constance once again goes rummaging through her personal belongs.
Hastily looking through her bag, Constance realizes that the quill she had thought was in her bag was in fact, not in her bag. With a second rush of embarassment making its prescence known on Constance's face, she turns back to her deskmate. "Kat....would you happen to have a spare quill?"
