The train ride had been long and she was glad to be able to stretch her legs finally . As she stepped off the train she was ushered t the side and they were instructed to leave their belongings. She wasn't too fond of the idea, because she knew how long mum and dad had saved to buy her all her stuff but she didn't want to argue.
She followed the rest of the first years to the boats on the great black lake. Though she was a good swimmer she was very nervous. She had heard that there lived a giant squid in the waters of the lake. Hesitantly she got into one of the boats and as soon as it was filled it seemed to move forward as if by its own volition.
The Castle was a beautiful sight. The silhouette was stunning and the closer they got the more it enthralled her. Slowly her nerves started to turn into excitement and become less anxiety ridden. She just wanted to be happy. The dreams of late had been robbing her of her sleep and she hoped that in the new setting that maybe she would be able to get better rest.

Alex couldn't stop thinking about his brothers' "advice" to him as he left the train. "Whatever you do, don't fall in the lake!" He had asked why, but they only gave cryptic warnings about sea monsters or some other aggressive magical sea creature.
To be honest, Alex was looking forward to learning more about magical creatures than almost anything else at Hogwarts. If he got eaten before he arrived though, that probably wouldn't work out terribly well.
Alex gingerly stepped into a small boat with a short-haired girl. They didn't say much as they started off into the lake, but she was smiling up at the castle.
"It's beautiful, right? At least it keeps my eyes off of the lake. My brothers told me there was a sea monster, and I'm only half-sure they were joking."
Maybe that wasn't the best way to start talking to his fellow first years? Most of Alex's friends had been Muggles though, so he wasn't really sure what to say to a fellow Witch or Wizard his age.
"Er, I'm sure we'll be fine. As long as we don't fall in!" Hmm, that wasn't really much better, was it? These boats looked pretty stable though. And they were enchanted, right?

Cecilia hurrily tries to change into his school robes as the train seems to has stopped. No one warned him about the stop, he sigh, the group of pupils he sat with weren’t at all, ‘nice”. They kept troll him because of his blindness throughout the trip. Reaching out for his cane, he started to follow other students voices difficutly to get out of the train.
A really loud voice startled him as he walking out of the train “"Attention all First Years! Please follow me!” . “Finally” he thought to himself and walk toward the voice, the smell of the students, the train, the dirt and trees kinda overwhelmed him. And the noise? It’s kinda messing with his head right now.
It’s really difficult for him to walk around a bunch of students, but he didn’t asks for help because he thought it would really annoys people. As he was finding his way, he heard whispers, some showed annoyance because he bumped into them, some showed sympathy as they realized his disability… None of it is helping him now and he’s kinda.. stumbled upon a root that just annoyingly happens to be there.
“Ounch…” He groaned. If this is a magical school, there should be something to helps him with these little annoying things…

Lallie hopped off the train excited as ever to be attending Hogwarts. She couldn't wait to see the amazing view of the grounds from the Great Lake. She looked around and started to become curious of what to do. Then she heard the voice ringing out "Attention all First Years! Please follow me!” She looked at where the voice was coming from and spotted a pretty looking young lady with her wand to her mouth speaking out to the students. Perfect! she thought as she skipped towards her.
She stopped in her tracks as she saw a young boy trip over a root. She rushed over to him and helped him up. Her eyes gazed into his and she saw the cloudiness in them. She had a friend back in Manchester who was completely blind in her right eye and slightly in her left and he made her think of him. Her friend, Brynn, was a lovely girl, and great friend. They would always stroll around the park together and just talk. She was a wizard born like her, but she went to Durmstrang Institute instead. She realized she was lost in thought and turned back to the boy. "Are you ok?" She asked worriedly.
"You cannot now believe that you will ever feel better. But this is not true. You are sure to be happy again. Knowing this, truly believing it will make you less miserable now."

@"Huh!" Cecilia jerked his head up and yelped in surprise when someone touched his arm, the overwhelm noise of students and the new wound makes him distracted, therefore, didn't realize that a girl with a gentle grip had come to help him get up. Leaning on the cane to stables his standing.
“ Thank you, uh mister…” He hesitated because he didn’t know who the stranger was, boy or girl. Also he has always been a social awkward person, and this person? He didn’t know any basic information to even say thanks (exept for their nice floral scent of trees, dirt and flower) and he or she just stayed quiet or lost in thought, he does it sometimes too, just forget everything and then bumps into something in the process.
"Are you ok?" the girl asked, with a worry tone, he hoped that no pity in it though.
“Yes, I’m fine” He smiled, this girl (now he finally knows) seems to be a good person “Thank you for the help, Miss …?” Cecilia asked

Lilac heard the train come to a halt, followed by an over-head message "We have arrived at the platform, please leave all belongings on the train." Lilac rose and left the train behind as she stepped onto the platform. She shuttered in the September air, it was a little chilly, or maybe it was nerves. As she looked around, she could see so many other students all wearing house colours and realised she knew nothing about Hogwart’s houses or the sorting ceremony, something she was already regretting. It occurred to Lilac that she'd been lost in thought and her feet seemed planted in the very spot she’d stepped onto from the train. Now she had no idea which way to go, and from what she could see so many other first years were just as unsure as she was. Then suddenly this booming voice swept across the platform “first years this way” she followed the direction of the voice and found herself being lead to a lake with the rest of the students.
Once at the water's edge Lilac could see the lake was stunning, as was the castle ahead, students ahead of Lilac were already climbing into the boats, when Lilac finally reached the water's edge, she carefully stepped into a boat and said: "Come on Jade." Silence. "Jade?" Lilac turned around, Jade wasn't there. Unbelievable thought Lilac, for someone who was usually pretty sharp, she'd become swept up in the moment. She'd lost Jade, along with the others, and she was really starting to like Jade's company. Nevermind thought Lilac, she'll catch up with Jade later. Lilac suddenly worried about being sorted into a different house to her friend. Lilac changed her mind started to look around for Jade and the others. But just as she spotted Jade, others climbed into her boat, too late now thought Lilac. She looked at Jade one last time before her boat left the lake edge, noticing how far away Jade's boat was from the others, was she isolating herself on purpose thought Lilac.

As Jade left the train she was separated from the others but Jade didn't really mind, She was amazed by the sight of all the students bustling around the platform. "First years this way" said a voice so Jade followed it and the rest of the first years. Jade soon found herself going down a small path through a wood. After a while the students were moving so slow Jade might as well have been standing still. "Everyone get into a boat,. Quickly or you'll be missing dinner!" Jade heard a voice in the distance say. The line started to move a bit quicker and soon Jade could see a magnificent lake with some small boats near the waters edge. Jade could see Lilac and the others in their own boats but they was starting to get filled and so Jade went into one of the harder to reach ones hoping no-one would join her. While Jade was a very social person she liked to experience things on her own, particularly views. There was something special about seeing a view like this and Jade didn't want it to be ruined by Gossiping girls. Sadly another student climbed in with her. "Hello, I'm Jade Murphy, and you are?" Jade asked the student.

Grace gratefully let go of her luggage, although she looked back at them hesistantly as she followed the professor. She was still new to magic and kept forgetting that wizards had ways of doing things that muggles didn't. Her things would probably already be next to her bed by the time she stepped into her dormitory.
She looked around and noticed the many boats bobbing near the edge of the water. People were already stepping into them and continuing across the Great Lake. Grace loved bodies of water but wasn't the fan of them at night, where one could barely see. She frowned for a moment before noticing the familiar silhouette of her friend, Lilac. Grinning, she made her way towards her boat.
But she had barely taken a few steps forward before being pushed and lost her balance. Grace caught herself before she fell and stood up all the way but by that time she noticed that Lilac's boat had already departed. She watched after sheepishly before seeing another familiar face, Jade, who'd also been in the compartment with her.
Quickly Grace hurried over to her boat and stepped inside before it got too full and smiled. “Hey! It's me, Grace.” Of course it was too dark for anyone to really see, so she didn't blame Jade. Moving closer to the lantern light for her face to be more noticeable, Grace said, “This is all just so exciting, I've never been a boat so small before.”

"Hey It's me Grace" Said Grace "Oh Grace! Thank goodness it's someone I know, sorry, I was just worried it would be some mean student" Said Jade relieved it was Grace, she had a feeling they were going to be good friends moving closer to the lantern light Grace said "This is all just so exciting, I've never been a boat so small before.” "Me neither, I've been on boats before but this is going to be amazing, our first view of Hogwarts" replied Jade, she was very excited and wanted to make sure that this was special for both of them. And with that the last few students were making their way to the boats, there were still a lot of students left but their numbers were dwindling. Jade wondered if Lilac was having a good time. "So how much do you know about the sorting ceremony?" Jade asked, hoping to reassure Grace if she didn't know much. Jades Mom had often told her about her sorting and how she had been so nervous and pale the teacher actually asked her if she was ok and if she needed to go to the Hospital wing. This had often made Jade laugh and she was glad she had a Mom like her, her Dad on the other hand told her stories of the hat trying to eat peoples heads or of it taking so long to decide that a teacher had to put them in a house. The later had actually scared Jade a bit.

As the boat departed Grace looked around curiously. What lay underneath the surface of the water? Were there magical creatures, or maybe even a secret place? She wondered if the books at the school would have anything interesting in them concerning legends and mysteries, she always loved a good book.
Jade seemed happy to see Grace and the feeling was mutual. It was good to see an at least slightly familiar face admist the strange ones. She wondered if Lilac was alright, and she could make her out on a boat not too far. Jade mentioned the Sorting Ceremony, something Grace had only heard vaguely about. Luckily she had done some research on it through her school book, Hogwarts, A History.
“I actually know a bit about, the books we got say something. This hat is supposed to sort us into the House we'll be in for the rest of our years at Hogwarts, and we can't change House's either, if we don't like them. There's four of them, and they're like...you can compare them to nations, but they're joined by one thing, being students at Hogwarts.”
She paused for a moment, maybe Jade already knew this. But Grace was a little nervous and just kept her mouth running. “So there's Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. You usually get into them based off of your personality, but sometimes certain things that happened to you decide it, like Harry Potter—he almost got into Slytherin because he was connected to Lord Voldemort because of his curse, but he was sorted into Gryffindor anyway.”
Grace cleared her throat. She wondered if maybe her parents were actually wizards, but nobody knew it. Or what if something happened to them, or happened to her, and she got into a house she wouldn't have really gotten into if she knew them? “I hope I get into Gryffindor or Ravenclaw, they seem ones I'd fit alright in. What about you?”
