All Sunshine, All Shadow
I initially used TVTropes.org's Story Generator for some rough ideas for this year:

Setting: Treetop World — a world set in the future after the death of industry, more nature but more tech, in the city of lywood, the future LA
Plot: Roaring Rampage of Revenge (think john wick) — Tess finds out what Wire did and is able to fight through the full detective department to confront him
Narrative Device: You Will Be Beethoven (time travel works as if nothing was broken) — detectives aren’t supposed to interfere with the past, but Tess finds a gap in Wire’s story, making her realize her historic place all along
Hero: war veteran who wants to kill man who betrayed him in his youth — Tess, retired Amazon, now a detective, investigates a cold case and discovers something about her youth
Villain: Big Eater — Tess’s mentor, Wire, who is constantly eating veggies due to a food shortage when he was younger
Character as a Device: Intern — Georg, a rookie that’s fawning over Tess
Characterization Device: Reluctancy — Tess saves the future, present, and past even though she'd rather not
