House Cup Win
Ravenclaw Wins Again!

Ravenclaw is on a winning streak, landing a third House Cup in a row! Due to a site bug that affected voting (a bug which has been resolved), the house points earned in February were lower overall, but we had plenty of users doing homework and errands to still earn their house a win! Ravenclaw ended the month in first place with 571 house points! This was followed by Slytherin in second place with 544 house points, Gryffindor in third place with 494 house points, and Hufflepuff in fourth place with 330 house points! Congratulations to Ravenclaw on their third House Cup Win in a row!
The top three overall earners of February have each won a spot to plan the upcoming Spring Ball. In first place is Elsian Cox, a Gryffindor who earned 75 house points this month! The Quidditch player put a lot of effort into homework to gain a spot here. In second place is another Gryffindor, Raizel Voltrouz, who is a relatively new addition to the community. She also gained most of her 67 points through homework! In third place is Ravenclaw Beatrice Langstreth, a familiar face who was a top earner last month as well! She earned the winning house 62 house points! Our top three students this month will be joined by those in fourth (Ravenclaw Ashley Dinero Montez), fifth (Hufflepuff Clark William Baird-Carter), and sixth place (Hufflepuff Aurora Griffith) to form the Spring Ball Planning Committee, which will be organizing a ball attended by students from Hogwarts and other visiting magical schools. The six students on the committee will all receive an owl and altered permissions soon so they can begin work on the upcoming event!
All students of the winning house Ravenclaw who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 102 chocolate frogs. (Those who qualify for both top earner and winning house will plan the ball and get 102 chocolate frogs).
At the end of this month, the top three overall earners of March will be given a broom of their choice (worth up to 22 Galleons) to use as they want. All students of the winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 10 galleons. (Those who qualify for both will get a broom of their choice (up to 22 galleons) and 10 galleons - or a broom up to 32 galleons).
House points are earned by completing homework, errands and winning sport games. Hufflepuff Takes 2 Records!

Credit Dobby AI
Hufflepuff has not only taken the house cup, but they have smashed 2 records: most points earned by a single house in a month and most points earned by a single student in a single month. Hufflepuff earned 1795 house points in this past month, crushing the previous record of 1568 which had been held by Ravenclaw since June of 2020. They have also taken the top-earner title from one Hufflepuff and moved it to another, previously held by @Jake Morris (193 House Points in a single month) and has been taken by @Amadea Campbell who earned 217 house points. The other houses did not stand a chance this past month, with the next highest house being Ravenclaw who earned only 1063 House Points. This was followed by Slytherin (1030) and Gryffindor (884). This was the first time Hufflepuff has taken the House Cup since October of 2022, which goes to show that when they put their mind to something, they really crush it!
There is only one record that remains out of Hufflepuff's reach: the record for most wins in a row (5) which is presently held by Ravenclaw who earned this December 2021 - April 2022. The second most wins belongs to Slytherin (4) who earned this previous record Slytherin August 2021 - November 2021. Watch out Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff has taken one record and they might be coming for another one.
Top earners for this month are unsurprisingly all Hufflepuffs. Top place and new reigning record holder in her final year, @Amadea Campbell has earned 217 house points. This is followed by @Tesla Stone, another Hufflepuff who has earned 167 House Points and in third @Alexander Harland with 144 House Points. Worthy of mention, the highest earning student outside of Hufflepuff this month had 99 House Points, which under normal circumstances would have gotten them to the top three if madness had not overcome some very hard-working players. The top three overall earners of July will be given 20 galleons, regardless of their house. All students of winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 10 galleons. (Those who qualify for both will get 30 galleons).
Next month the top earners will be a part of the Autumn Ball Planning Committee. This will include the top 6 earners instead of the top 3 earners who will take part in the Ball Planning Committee as well as chocolate frogs for the winning house. Meaning, the top six overall earners of August will form a planning committee for Autumn. They will have the opportunity to organize an Autumn ball, which iNPCs from all schools in attendance. This ball should take place anytime in Sept-October (up to the organizers). All students of the winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 102 chocolate frogs (worth 10 galleons with sell-back). (Those who will qualify will get to organize the ball and get 102 frogs).

Gryffindor Has the August House Cup

After Hufflepuff's record-making win last month, Gryffindor has taken the house cup for the month of August. This would be Gryffindor's first win since March 2023. Gryffindor earned 908 house points in this past month. This was a close win, Slytherin came in second with 881 house points. In third, Ravenclaw earned 869 house points and finally in fourth was Hufflepuff with 749 house points. Great job Gryffindor, you took the win!
As for top-earners: @Aly Salinger of Ravenclaw earned 94 house points. It was not enough to earn Ravenclaw the win but it did give her a spot on the Fall Ball planning committee. This was followed by @Koko Rivers, a Gryffindor who earned 64 house points. Koko was closely followed by Alyssea Brown with 63 house points. Where in other months only the top three are rewarded, this month the top 6 get to participate in the Fall Ball: @Calypso Vierling, @Estelle Nyx and @Tristan Theramin. These 6 users will have the opportunity to organize an Autumn ball, which iNPCs from all schools in attendance. This ball should take place anytime in Sept-October (up to the organizers). Gryffindor Takes the October House Cup

After winning the last two house cups in a row, Gryffindor has taken the win again. Who knows: this might be another race for a record. The previous record is held by Ravenclaw at 5 months in a row. If they win another 2 months, they will have matched the record. Another 3 and they have the new record, dethroning the eagles. So the first and second cup of the academic year go to the Lions - making it their fourth win for 2023 so far.
Gryffindor earned 966 house points this month. They were quite a bit ahead of the second place, which went to Ravenclaw with 896 house points. In third, Hufflepuff came in with 867 and finally, in fourth, was Slytherin with 748 house points.
As for the three top-earners: @Rebecca Lark of Ravenclaw came in first place with 65 house points - which is not enough to win the cup for her house but it was enough to make a name for herself and to be noticed. This was followed by @Mahlioz Evethisawe of Slytherin who managed to earn a total of 45 house points for the month. In third place, @Juliet Ashbrook of Gryffndor closely followed with a total of 44 points.
The three top earners for the month have won themselves a new (free) pet of their choice. They will have to do a roleplay acquiring the pet as per our pet system rules but we will not charge them. All students of the winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 10 galleons. (Those who qualify for both will get a free pet and 10 galleons).
Next month, the top three overall earners of November will be given an Underground Map, Camo Cloak or Bus Pass (worth up to 22 galleons). All students of the winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given a Fake Permission Form (worth 6 galleons) as well as a Creepy Teddy Bear from Andrew Walk in Knockturn Alley. (Those who qualify for both will get items).

The House Cup
Gryffindor Takes the September House Cup

After winning last month's house cup, Gryffindor didn't shy away from stepping up to claim a back-to-back win this month! The first cup of the academic year goes to the Lions - making it their third win for 2023 so far.
Gryffindor earned 881 house points this month. They were quite a bit ahead of the second place, which went to Ravenclaw who were just shy of eight hundred with their 798 points. In third, Slytherin came in with 768 and finally, in fourth, was Hufflepuff with 715 house points.
As for the three top-earners: @Pericles Dralt of Ravenclaw came in first place with a staggering 138 house points - which is an amazing point total for a single month and would have been close to a record if it wasn't for the August winners. This was closely followed by @Draven Mirador of Slytherin who managed to earn a total of 125 house points for the month, almost seizing first place himself! In third place, @Axyen Dragonclaw of Hufflepuff came in with 65 points.
Somehow these incredible points were not enough to win the other houses the cup. The top three earners were from each of the other three houses and despite this, the lions clearly came together to seize the house cup in the end! Clearly, teamwork makes the dream work!
The three top earners for the month have won themselves a new broom of their choice (up to 22 galleons)! All students of the winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 10 galleons. This time, no students won both.
Next month, the top three overall earners of October will be given a free pet of their choice. They will have to do a roleplay acquiring the pet as per our pet system rules but we will not charge them. All students of the winning house who have earned their house a minimum of 17 house points will be given 10 galleons. (Those who qualify for both will get a free pet and 10 galleons).
