Another Tuesday full of classes surrounded by many other students in Helena’s year. The young blonde was rather bored throughout the day. Though she seemed to not have many friends yet she also did not seem bothered at the same time. Who needs friends when you have yourself and books.

After her final classes Helena made herself at home in the library. Helena was rather fond of a particular spot on the second floor of the library. It was fairly hidden away but close to the spiral staircase.

Located in the corner was a fireplace surrounded by a few comfortable looking chairs and tables for one to study and do homework at.

Helena was comfortably sitting at a medium size reddish brown oak table. The chairs aligning the table were the same reddish brown with comfortable padding on the bottom of the chair and the head red of the chair.

The young blonde haired girl was surrounded by a mountain of books, along with parchment paper strewn around her. Beside her left leg was her beige satchel with a rosé embroidered into the right side of the flap that opens and closes. Helena wore her black robes and black and white school uniform. Around her neck rested neatly tied her yellow and black hufflepuff tie. Helena’s honey blonde hair rested gently cascading down her shoulders, her bangs covering her left eye slightly.

The young first year girl was hunched over completely focused on her Charms homework. In her right hand was a light tannish brown quill feather. Helena’s sapphire sea eyes squinted in thought staring down at her parchment.

The soft crackling and hissing from the fireplace nearby was relaxing to the young blonde haired girl. Echoing throughout the library was the soft flutter of the enchanted books rushing by the few students that were studying in the vast large library. The enchanted books going to the assigned spots seemed to drift by quickly. Helena did not seem to mind though it was rather peaceful honestly to the girl it was relaxing.

The sweet refreshing smell of ink wafted throughout the library. Along with the scent of old and new book smell wafting throughout the library.

Surrounded by the mountain of books the young honey blonde girl seemed focused. Her tannish brown quill scribbling down gently as she focused on her textbook and parchment the young girl seemed to ignore basically the whole world. At this moment it was best she focused mainly on her studies then her surroundings.

Afterall Helena was not expecting anyone or anybody to bother her she did not really have friends and rarely spoke to anyone due to how nervous she gets so being hidden away in the far corner of the library was the best place for the girl to hide at.

In his little corner of the Library, his peace was broken in less than a moment by the discovery of a stranger. Someone else had arrived at his sanctuary, they had ventured into the more remote section of the library and set up their camp in a place Victor was certain no one would find, yet here she was, a young, unassuming, very oblivious girl had walked in and began to study. He wasn't sure what to do with this new development, this was, as far as he was concerned, his section of the library, here where no one ventured, away from the main study sections and guarded by the dust in books. Why she decided to come this far in was beyond him and he was unsure what to do, he could see her now, hunched over the desk he would normally sit at, surrounded by books he would normally use.

This was outrageous, a violation of his privacy, a home invasion but also....deeply intriguing. Why was she here? Who was this girl who thought she would just march into his corner of this place and set up shop? What drove her here? Did she not have friends of her own she could study with? What if she did? Were they coming as well? Would his place of peace be overrun by the hordes of chatter and giggle? He looked around, there was no one else and it did not seem as though anyone would be coming, she wasn't waiting. He eyed this interloper with suspicion through the bookcases, perhaps he could inquire into her arrival...or find another spot. He rejected finding another place, he was happy here and would not be moved by the arrival of some stranger, no this called for a little courage.

He now stepped out from the bookshelf and began walking over to the table, clearing his throat as he approached the stranger. What he was going to say exactly, he didn't know, only that he wasn't impressed she was here and that he would rather appreciate it if she could be...somewhere else.

Helena snapped out of her focus when the sound of a throat clearing echoed around her. The honey blonde haired girl gazed upwards from her textbook. Her ocean blue eyes looked towards the source of the sound.

Helena’s quill still firmly in her hand the young girl tilted her head towards the left slightly, her left ear hovering over her shoulder as her golden blonde locks swayed gently.

Helena gazed at the newcomer carefully, the young boy seemed familiar, but where had she seen him from?

Blinking slowly the young girl placed her quill gently down beside her textbook. Gently grasping her hands together slowly tapping her thumbs together out of habit.

Straightening up slightly Helena smiled sheepishly, her shoulders arching upwards as her bangs covered her left eye ever so slightly.

“Um? Hello?”

The young Hufflepuff girl spoke rather softly; her elegant poise tone seemed very soft and faint. Her ivory pale skin seemed to have a bit of blush scattered across her cheeks. Helena was not sure why someone was up here normally she would be alone.

The young girl could tell by the boy's facial expression he was unimpressed and seemed like he may have been in a bit of a mood, but Helena knew better then to judge a book by its cover after all that would be quite rude of her to do so.

Helena could feel the butterflies ramping inside her stomach slamming against her frail ribcage. Making the girl a bit more nervous as she twiddled with her thumbs a bit quicker in pace. Her ocean blue eyes seemed to dart slightly out of a nervous habit of uncertainty filling them like a watering hole.

“If…If you would like you can join me? I won’t be a bother honest.”

Speaking softly again Helena tried to keep her elegant tone from wavering though she failed just slightly as she scrunched up away like a timid little cat. Her ocean blue eyes seemed to dart back and forth with uncertainty; she really was not sure what the stranger wanted though again she was sure she had seen him somewhere, but where.

Helena seemed to wrack her brain for any answer or clue, but the golden blonde girl seemed unsure of herself at this moment.

“I am just the Villain in your story, but a Hero in mine.”

Victors assault failed at the first glance, once her sapphire blue eyes made contact with his grey the battle was over. His plan to remove her from this place was defeated in total. In fact, her victory over him was so complete he not only stopped his advance but forgot what it was he was planning on doing in the first place. She looked familiar, and his stunned mind slowly began to recover itself as it searched his mind for memories of her, meanwhile her question lingered in the air like heavy fog, impossible to grasp and yet very much there.

I...Alright he let loose quickly, he wasn't going to say no and he certainly wasn't going to run away, but he moved slower and took up position opposite her, in hindsight it was probably not the best position, he was now directly in the line of fire. Nevertheless he was committed to this course of action. Not....Not many people come here...I...I thought I was the only one His stammer held its grip on his words, he couldn't help it. He'd spent so much time reading and writing it occurred to him he may have forgotten how to speak. He looked at her, his books unopened on the desk, he wanted to smile but he was frozen, by both fear and suspicion. He didn't know this girl, he had no knowledge of why she was here or why she felt familiar. He didn't like it, he wanted to know Have....Have we met before? he asked, cocking his head to the side, his eyes narrowing into a skeptical look, the way one might look at an experiment that did something unexpected. He needed to get some answers, and the first thing he could ask for was her name...not that he did.

Helena watched the young boy that was across from her. The honey blonde girl examined the other in front of her curiously.

Helena could swore she has seen him somewhere before? But where exactly Hogwarts is a large school they must have been in classes together correct? Which is highly possible.

Feeling his narrowed eyes burrowing into what felt like her soul Helena shrunk back shyly. The blonde girl was not sure how to react to a situation like this. Sure she was used to people staring at her due to her appearance and being the “Lone Rose” as she has heard in the past.

Helena was uncertain what to say or do at the very moment. Would it be best to speak and break the deafening silence? Or would it be best to get back to her homework? After all a majority of her work may be done, but the paper for Charms was due tomorrow and the young girl did not have it finished quite yet. Even though a majority of it was finished she still had a bit more to work on.

Gazing downwards Helena grabbed her quill twiddling it in between her thumb and index finger nervously. Butterflies rampaging around her stomach wildly made the girl feel a bit uneasy.

Unsure what to say or do Helena felt best to stay silent after all she was known for being quiet. The worst that could happen is she angers the boy, but not speaking. After all the look he was giving her made the girl feel like she was being studied.

Helena was not sure how to react, but staying quiet would be her best bet at least in her mind.

Helena went back to her homework every few moments her ocean blue eyes would dart upwards glancing at the gray eyed boy. As her golden bangs covered her eyes slightly as she resumed her homework.

Her mind was drowning with thoughts and uncertainty.

“It is quite rude to narrow your eyes at a girl.”

Helena muttered softly though she was not sure if the other heard her soft elegant tone honestly she felt a bit uneasy. Though Helena grew up with stern gazes and stern tones. The young golden haired girl was still uncomfortable around them. Suppose she figured it was not the boy's fault. After all he did look familiar but from where?

It is practically impossible to remember Hogwarts is a vast large school; many students and teachers pass by each day strangers becoming friends or enemies in some cases. Helena was just confused and it did not help that her nerves were eating away inside of her.

“I am just the Villain in your story, but a Hero in mine.”

Her comment caught him off guard, but he smiled in response, probably the first thing he did without thinking. He looked away briefly before retuning his attentions to her and opening his book on Transfiguration I remember. Down by the lake, Helena Rose if I remember rightly Victor said, surprised at his own voice, he sounded almost confident having solved the question that her existence presented, he had resolved the unknown quantity in front of him, at least superficially. Yes, he remembered the name but in truth he knew nothing about her at all, other than she was quiet. Quiet, but not without some degree of confidence he supposed, after all she did just accuse him of being rude. How strange to find her here, that was twice now she had arrived at a place he thought to be his own, a place where he might find some peace. Maybe she was looking for the same thing, both of them drawn to lesser known places for their own reasons.

How did you find the test in Charms? he asked, now looking at his own homework, he didn't know how to have or hold a conversation with people, he assumed quietly that it would have been better to simply walk away, but here he was. Leaving now would be both unkind and inappropriate, this was his spot anyway, she could be here if she wanted but he wasn't going to give it up just because some girl had decided to sit here. He might not be master of the Library, but he was certainly master of this desk, or so he thought. Girl or no Girl, his spot, his rules, his obligation to at least try to speak with her.

Helena listened carefully as Victor spoke towards the young golden haired girl. Soft ocean blue eyes making contact with the other gray ones.

The lake? As if a lightbulb went off over the girl's head Helena remembered meeting the boy. After all she seemed to interrupt him by her presence not that she meant to though, but alas it seems she did the same thing again. Was it just coincidence or the young Hufflepuff had horrid timing when it came to places and where they were located.

Helena thought calmly to herself what was his name again? She scrunched her brows up slightly in thought before relaxing her face and smiling softly, her golden bangs covering the left side of her face gently like a curtain.

“Ahh Yes the lake. I remember now my apologies it has been quite a week honestly.”

Sure October started but just last week the young girl couldn’t help but remember the eventful things, mainly getting a fist to the face. The young girl's soft heart shaped face still felt sore from where that tiny gremlin punched her. Thankfully the bruise was all but barely visible at this time.

Helena went back to her work again, her soft blue gaze on her parchment paper as she heard Victor speak once again. Glancing up slightly the young girl hummed thoughtfully.

“Rather too easy honestly. Though many classes seem a tad easy, but suppose that is an upper hand growing up around magic.”

Her soft elegant tone drifted around the duo. Turning her gaze back towards her homework. Helena scribbled softly with tannish brown quill.

One would say Helena was studious, but she just preferred having a head start on her work made it easier to slack off on later days after all.

How does one have a conversation with a complete stranger? Some people can do it well, for them it is almost as natural as breathing. Others struggle, so much so that they may not even try to have one in the first place. If one was going to have a conversation with someone, what would you speak about? For Victor, this was the problem, holding a conversation with a complete stranger.

He wrote something into his textbook, some question he already knew the answer too but his mind was too preoccupied with the person sitting opposite him. He supposed a few home truths had to be established in his head before he did or said anything stupid. Firstly, Yes, she was pretty. Very good, gold star for noticing, what of it? There were lots of people in Hogwarts, many of them pretty. He could quiet easily make the same statement about the Charms Professor, it didn't mean a thing. Secondly, her reason for being here was not him, this was either a happy mistake or coincidence, it was not intentional, he was not special, it did not mean a thing. Thirdly, it was entirely likely that she was dominating his internal thoughts far more than he was dominating hers, which suggests that he was reading into this whole situation far more than he needed to and holding himself to be far more special than the circumstances would indicate - so refer to the previous two statements.

With that out of the way, he could at least pretend to have a civil conversation with her, something without any degree of self-centeredness or wishful thinking. You grew up around Magic? where? if you don't mind my asking. An innocent enough question, one that allowed him to focus on his infernal homework. He also wanted to know why transfiguration had turned into physics but that would be a conversation for quite a different person.

The soft scratching sound from the young girl's quill echoed softly around her. The library was ever so peaceful. One of the main reasons Helena would hide away up here and not only that she did like to avoid certain people. Mainly her cousin, the young girl does not recall really seeing him often since she arrived at Hogwarts. The sense of dread filled her stomach but as fast as it approached the young girl brushed it off.

Focused on her Charms homework Helena would scribble down a few words before glancing back over at her textbook and the back to her parchment a little short process the golden blonde girl did.

After all, it was rather peaceful. Which Helena was ever so grateful for. The last thing Helena wished for was a repeat of the Hufflepuff common room incident from last Thursday. That was awfully dreadful the young girl scowled slightly before shaking it off once again.

Being lost in her own little world Helena almost forgot Victor was near her. If it was not for the fact that he spoke and asked the girl a question.

Glancing upwards Helena tilts her head slightly, bringing her quill toward her chin tapping it softly.

“Oh yes. My family are Purebloods and nothing but purebloods. Honestly I do not think we have any family member that even likes muggles. Though I see no harm with muggles they seem nice enough I suppose. But I grew up in Liverpool but was born in Bristol England. Rather peaceful I say.”

Helena spoke softly twiddling with her quill between her thumb and index finger nervously. Though the girl adored her family she feared that did not seem to adore her. Usually the young girl was too quiet or too kind. She supposed her family wished she was more like the Nordens daughter who knew her worth at least that is how Helena felt.

The pang of uneasiness rushed around Helena’s stomach. The golden blonde girl was uncertain what to say next so she figured she attended back to her homework. After all, the subject of her family was always a tad touchy. It wasn’t like she disliked or hated her family; she was just maybe terrified of their views on her.

“I am just the Villain in your story, but a Hero in mine.”

He looked up in surprise My family are purebloods as well he said, before the words got caught in this throat and he returned to his reading I don't think my family much cares for muggle born folk but I can't say I have met many of....well anyone to be honest. He dropped the subject, this was no time for self pity. I'm sorry if I didn't notice your last name, I'm not very well versed with the pureblood families. I suppose we're a more reclusive clan than most. Do you think it means something special? Being a pureblood? He asked because he was unsure of the answer, his father never expressly informed him that purebloods were 'better' but strongly suggested it when he was unhappy at Victor's performance at something or another. Meeting another pureblood would be enlightening, if everyone other pureblood regarded blood status as important then maybe it was, but he'd not met any.

He scribbled down another answer, family was a strange subject, half the time he felt as though his parents preferred him in the clergy rather than being a Wizard, but then they had never been ones to express any degree of emotional vulnerability. They cared, of that he was certain, but they just had a funny way of showing it. I've not been to England before, what is Liverpool like? Two questions, not at all related, not to worry. At this point the conversation was a train wreck, he knew that, so one may as well keep going. It isn't like he could make it any worse, either she would leave and he wouldn't see her again, or he would continue to practice what little speech skills he did have until something broke. It wasn't a great plan, in fact one might assume it would go better if he did have a plan to start with, but it was the course of action he decided to embark on, for whatever reason.
