Prompt #6: Death wc: 424
Emeline has just very recently lost her best friends, they suddenly ghosted her right before her fifteenth birthday. She doesn’t know why this has happened, but nonetheless, she starts to feel upset during her daily life. Emeline isn’t as happy as she used to be, and isn’t able to make others as happy as she used to, she doesn’t get as excited, or happy anymore, and she starts to loose energy and care. Her mood doesn’t heavily affect those people who are around her, but it does a little bit, since she acts sad and upset all the time, the feelings gets passed on sometimes. She also has a shorter temper as another effect of her sorrow, so sometimes she will lash out at people easily, or take her anger out on people, even if they haven’t or barely have done anything wrong. At first when she lost her friends, she was denying it, not wanting to let them go, convincing herself that it was only temporary and they would come around. Later on, when she realized that they were in fact not going to come back, she started to feel angry at them, angry that they abandoned her for in her eyes, no reason! She didn’t think she did anything wrong and now had no friends because it it. Slowly, even though Emeline hadn’t forgiven them, she started to try and pull away from wanting them back. She tried not to talk to them, not to acknowledge them, or do anything along those lines. For the most part of her time after her friends had left her, she was feeling very upset. This is when it affected others most, like when she would not pay attention, not care, and not want to do anything. The people that cared about her like her family realized this and tried their best to help her understand that this was for the best. They told her that she didn’t need her old friends, and to try and forget about them. Eventually, Emeline was mostly able to do that. She accepted the fact that they weren’t going back to how they were, and she was go hunger games to have to find new people, though at this time she already had. Emeline started feeling much better after making this realization, and that’s when things got better for her, and she tries her best to keep it this way, even though it gets hard sometimes. She knows there will always be people around to help her.
