Eggs, toast, and new friends

Alex woke up in the Gryffindor common room, with the tinge of sadness that this was not his room back home in London. There was also that seance of excitement, that this was not his room back home in London. This was his room in a new school, were he would be learning magic. Not today, today would just so happen to be the weekend. Giving him a chance to get acquainted with his new classmates and get a feel for the new environment. It would most defiantly take him a while to get used to the school. A month or more. For now he would get up from bed, and get changed. Yesterday was full of excitement. With the train, sorting (He still was not sure what that hat did), and that giant feast. Now he was ready for some breakfast and just maybe a little time to relax.
As he left his dorm room, and entered the main area of the Gryffindor area he saw a group of older students that must have been going to the great hall. Were the meals were held. As he had not even been in school for a day he choose to follow them out. So that he could get to the hall with no hic ups. Just as he thought following them was the right choice. As they were going to the hall, and they did know were it was. So he made it, not only that he was taking notes in his mind of things they walked past for his refence when trying to get to breakfast again.
Once in the hall he did not want to sit with the older group, as they looked to all be friends and he did not want to disturb them. When they walked further down the Gryffindor table he sat on the end that was closest to the doors. He sat with a sigh, yeah things would take a while to get used to. He just hoped that it would be better with time. There were still a lot of things that he needed to do, like find out a way to write to his parents, he needed to find a good list of the rules, as he really did not want to end up in detention.
This was what he was going to prioritize today, and make sure he got it done before the sun would set for that day. He looked at the empty plate in front of him, and at the plates of food that lined the table. He wondered who made the food, as it was a lot. If it would be anything like it was at dinner the other day, then it would be amazing to. He grabbed some toast, eggs and sausage, the rough same things he would be eating at home about now. Also some strawberry jam for the toast. With all he wanted on the plate he started to eat.

Eggs, toast, and new friends
When Hera woke up in the Girls' Dormitory, she couldn't understand what had happened for a while, but then she felt joy when she remembered that she went to Hogwarts yesterday and was sorted into Gryffindor.
She immediately got out of bed, opened her trunk and changed his clothes. She decided to leave her hair open and left the dormitory.
She walked into a crowd of Gryffindors going to breakfast and made his way to the Gryffindor Hall. The Great Hall was very crowded. That's why he used to sit close to the doors. She thought there would be less noise somewhere closer to the doors.
When she sat at the table, she saw that there were various kinds of breakfast dishes on the table. 'Just as they said' she thought and took ham bread on her plate and poured pumpkin juice.
Meanwhile, the boy next to her caught his attention. She looked like he was trying to get used to these events. She had messy black hair and bright blue eyes. I guess it was his first year too, but he was either muggle-born or half-blood.
"Hey. Is there a problem? I guess you are muggle born. I can help if you want"

Alex sat at the table, not paying much mind to those around him. People passed by him to go and sit at the further end of the table, some sat closer to him. Talking to there friends and what not. Alex just sat there and ate his food, taking bites out of the egg's nice and scrambled. Just how he liked it. It did not take very long for someone to choose to sit next to him, Alex just glanced at the girl. She had blond hair, and grey eyes. If he had to guess she might have been a first year like him.
Because she was sitting at the same table as him, he thought she might be a Gryffindor. She could be one of the other houses to, who knows, they might be able to sit with people that are not in the same house. He still had so much to learn, he just needed to keep reminding himself that it was his first day. So it should be expected that he does not know it all. Alex wanted everyone to just bare with him, there had to be some others like him, those born in the non magical world. Entering it near blind like he was.
He was in his thoughts when he was interrupted by the girl that was sitting next to him. "Huh?" He said, as it took a split second for him to register what she had said to him. He responded quickly, not giving her a chance to repeat. "oh, no, no there's no problem.. I am muggle-born." Was it that obvious? And was it a good thing or a bad thing? If his memory was right, a Muggle was what the wizard people called those who did not have any magic in there blood.
So that would be his parents, and yeah. He guessed he was Muggle-Born. He nodded at himself, reassuring his answer. "Yeah, Muggle-Born." He said more confidently. If she was asking him this, then she had to be someone who was born with all of this. Thankfully for him, she seamed nice, and offered to help him. Alex smiled at her, "Some help would be great." He gave a nervous laugh. "Its all kinda confusing, Im Alexander by the way. But everyone calls me Alex" He said introducing himself, and holding his hand out for her to shake. Smiling again at her, happy that someone nice sat next to him.
