The previous day's party turned out to be a big disappointment for Sherlock. Initially hoping to have fun by petting some animals, some Unicorns included, his hope and plan were cut short when a boy he did not even know attempted to pick a fight with him, or at least to show the people around them he was some kind of king who had the right to act any way he pleased. He left the Hogwarts grounds in tears and met Agata for a game, but there were so many obstacles they could not conquer that the competition ended with them only managing to finish half of the total challenges. After that, the Castelobruxo student felt terribly disappointed by everything that he went straight to bed right after the game was declared done.
Following a not-very-nice Saturday, Sherlock wanted very much to give himself a wonderful Sunday; he was determined not to have a difficult weekend and face schoolwork with such a blue mood the day after. Taking Star Catcher with him for an 'extra support' in case things went South, the boy visited Hogwarts' Care of Magical Creatures area to admire the animals. He may not be able to pet them today, but it was still satisfying to see them right before his eyes. "Look, Star Catcher," he whispered to his doll. "They're all so beautiful, aren't they? Oh no, no, don't be jealous - you're just as lovely as them! What makes you think anyone could replace you?"

Having eyes, but not seeing beauty; having ears, but not hearing music; having minds, but not perceiving truth; having hearts that are never moved and therefore never set on fire - these are the things to fear.

This year had been her first opportunity to have classes in the Care of Magical Creatures. To be honest, Lea didn't much care for the class. Animals had never been a big interest of hers even if she wanted a pet. But that was more because she wanted to prove herself responsible and they seemed nice. The animals in the stables and paddocks? Far larger and scarier typically. Or just strange. Her overall interest in the class seemed to change on the daily.
Still, brown eyes couldn't help glance towards the area as she meandered the Hogwarts grounds. A long Hufflepuff scarf was worn tightly, hands only leaving her pockets to adjust the knit so that it would cover more of her face. Lea kind of regretted wearing a short skirt now, even if the dark tights underneath managed to keep her mostly warm. Hopefully it'd be warmer by the creatures, changing her trajectory to head over there.
Her search for cover against the wind momentarily halted as brown eyes noticed a blonde boy. "Are you- talking to dolls?" Her voice sounded incredulous, stepping forward and to the side slightly to try and get a better view. "Isn't that, like, early primary school stuff? You know they can't get jealous, right?" Sometimes it felt like she had to make sure at Hogwarts- some people were geniuses, others not so much. Regardless, Lea now wished she had just headed inside to the castle. Why see the animals now when she could see them in class?

Sherlock was terribly surprised when a voice rang behind him. He flushed, colours rose to his cheek; as naive as he could be, he somehow understood that a couple of people above kid-age would not accept if a preteen or older play with simple toys such as non-moving toy cars, building blocks, and plastic or rag dolls. Heard from her tone, it looked like this student fell into the mentioned category.
Attempting to hide Star Catcher (or rather, to protect her), he stammered, "I just.. just... I just want to make sure she doesn't feel left out." He did not even try to glance into her eyes (the teenager's eyes, not Star Catcher's), or any part of her face; he imagined that her eyes must be full of judgement and the lines at the corner of her mouth twisted in mockery.
Please just go away, he said inwardly. Please. Just go. She's making me uncomfortable; why must she stay here? Very secretly, the second year stare at the other pupil's shoes, as if that would drive her away.
If she would not, though, he had started to think that maybe he ought to, just for Plan B. It would be such a pity, though, because he would much prefer staying here in quietness, free from any prying eyes of a human.

(I believe this is your new account?)
An eyebrow raised at his surprise, wondering just how caught up he could have been in his doll whispering to not hear her approach. A hand rested on her hip, more so something for her hand to do while she waited for some sort of answer or explanation. To others, though, the movement might have appeared more judgmental than Lea had intended. There was still judgement, but for the time being it would wait for the response.
Not that the response actually helped much. Her head couldn't help but tilt, braid tumbling across her back at the movement. "She doesn't feel left out?" She reiterated, more confused than anything. The leap made sense from jealousy to being left out, but the third had not yet adjusted to the thought process of the younger student. "She's not going to feel left out- she's a doll." Why was she even bothering to speak to this other student? It wasn't as though her words would change anything, instead only letting her annoyance fester as she continued to interact with the annoyance. A small huff of frustration escaped, followed by a small sigh.
"Just- talk to the animals. At least that makes some sense." Brown eyes rolled, feet pushing her past the boy and further into the paddocks to lean against some of the fencing and look at the creatures like she had intended to before the peculiar sight. Her new resting place wasn't far from him, but it clearly showed that she intended to stay, at least for a little longer.

How he wanted to say it all, to tell this student something like, "Star Catcher can feel emotions. She can get jealous, be happy, feel left out... all of them. You may think she can't just because you don't see her showing it, but for me she can and that's why it matters." But on the other hand, he also knew perfectly well that if he did that, she would think he was nuts. Mentally unstable. And if she did, chances are she would make fun of him, either right here in front of him or behind his back or both.
Thus, Sherlock Dols merely stood there dumbly, saying nothing, as if he was at loss. He did not even cry, could not because maybe his body was tired of shedding tears. The boy considered just sitting right there on the grass in a defeated manner, but he did not want to stay around the other - he assumed older - student. This left the option of leaving, but where should he go? He did not know much about this school, and did not feel like returning to the cabin where he spent the nights in.
Why did this have to happen to him? Why did misfortune seem to follow him wherever he went? When he made the decision to join the Castelobruxo program to visit Hogwarts, he had been hoping for a positive experience and some nice new friends who liked him just the way he was.

There wasn't any reply, not that Lea minded currently. Brown eyes slowly moved their gaze over to the boy with an unimpressed stare before returning her attention back to the magical creatures. She leaned against the fencing, her expression softening just a bit as she watched the animals continue on their daily routines and interact. The silence was fine, it was even preferable as she could pretend he simply didn't exist as he seemed stuck in place. He could vanish and the Hufflepuff could have the paddocks all to herself, able to wander around without having to roll her eyes at dolls and strange conversations. Her eyes now firmly stared in front of her, not daring to glance in his direction as she looked towards the Bowtruckles climbing about instead. Everything was fine, everything was peaceful.
She shifted in her place, changing what leg held her weight and scratching at the back of her neck. No, as much as she wanted to ignore him, Lea was very aware of his presence in the area and the fact that he had neither spoken nor left. His indecisiveness irritated her and her patience was already thin from the annoyance he had been. Her focus only lasted a minute more before she quickly swiveled to face him, eyebrows furrowed and brown eyes staring into him.
"What? What do you want? Are you going to speak up or leave? Or- or just sit there being useless?" Her arm gestures were sharp and quick, motioning towards where he stood and the space around them. "I'm sorry you haven't figured out that dolls don't talk, but that doesn't need to be my problem." Her apology was sarcastic, eyes rolling before she waited for him to make some sort of move instead of just freezing in place and being a pain.

At this point, as if cued, Sherlock burst into tears, turned out his body was not tired of crying at all. But if there was something exhausted inside him, looks like it was his mind, or his heart. Either of them, or both, he could not care less at the moment. What he knew was that he currently had no energy to pretend to be a strong, angelic human anymore. The anger inside him seemed to have been boiling and boiling all along, and now it was overflowing, erupting out of him the way overheated soup pushed the lid of its pot up before flowing out, down the pot and onto the stove.
"You're so mean!" he screamed as his tears broke through. Standing up, he finally looked at the dark-haired student right into her eyes, body all shaking from doing something unfamiliar. "You can think I'm useless, or never again in your life pretend that toys aren't alive and be a boring adult whose life is empty, but you have no right to say it out loud directly to the person! That's totally outrageous... purely a mean teen behaviour! Such a juvenile thing to do!"
Overcome, he turned quickly and weeping fully went away with Star Catcher clutched tightly in both hands.

She knew her words were harsh, Lea hadn't really cared to keep herself polite when his very presence pushed her buttons, but the tears seemed excessive and gave pause to her thoughts. There was a visible startle as she jolted back slightly before falling back into her previous mindset. Her lips pursed as eyes rolled, tilting her head as she waited for the boy to get his crying over with and out of her space. If she had a watch, the girl would have checked it but alas that wasn't the case as all she could do was cross her arms and tap her fingers.
Only he escalated- from tears to screams that the Hufflepuff blinked back with a grimace. Lea was more than happy to wait this out too, but the direct eye contact meant she couldn't simply brush the emotions off to the side. She stared directly back at him, forced to take in his words and somewhat reconcile with the fact that her words caused this outburst. This just seemed excessive though and frankly untrue- her life wasn't empty. Certainly more full than his if he had to occupy his time talking to dolls. Such a juvenile thing to do? "Says the one screaming," she scoffed, looking at him with disdainful confusion. But with that he was gone, a dramatic exit that quickly turned back to silence within the paddock as the words lingered in the air, growing stuffy with emotions Lea didn't want to deal with at the moment. She could feel guilty later when her need to be right died down and she had calmed.
In the mean time, brown eyes glanced around before Lea let out a big sigh and moved from her frozen spot to distance herself from the event as she watched the creatures. Even they seemed aware as they shifted uncomfortably or kept towards the back where the Hufflepuff couldn't see. Clearly she wouldn't get any calm here and so the girl left to find some other quiet place. A stupid argument all for nothing.
