A New Friend
Sitting in a stall of the abandoned bathroom, Eri wiped her face.. Tear drops stained the paper she was reading. Honestly the tears were both happy and sad. The happy side her friend Zaire was going to visit her during the Christmas brake. The sad part was Zaire's brother was hospitalized. Folding the paper the brunette placed the letter into her satchel hanging on her shoulder. Wiping a strand of maroon bangs out of her face and made sure there were no more tears on her face.
The door opened and she froze. Now Eri wasn't the only one in the bathroom. Crouching, Eri peeked through the crack of the door to see who had come inside. Hopefully they wouldn't know she was in there. The looks of it the person was a male and probably a first year. That was all she could see. Eri was trying to not sneeze so her cover wouldn't be blown.
Eri stepped back a second a wipe down her face making sure there was no trace of the tears that had been on her face about three minutes ago. Finally Shen couldn't hold it back anymore and she let a loud sneeze out.

Remy hummed loudly as he approached the abandoned toilets. Anyone who visited that place probably had nothing too good in their mind. From his experience, most people went there to either cry their hearts out or do something that was well...technically...not allowed. If you'd know Remy well enough, you'd know that he was never the doe-eyed type of person to follow the rules and just sit still. Oh no, he would wreak havoc just for the heck of it and watch everything crash and burn.
Maybe not that dramatic, but he sure loved pranking other people. His pranks were mostly harmless little jests that would make someone's day a tad bit harder and make his own day twice as fun. The satisfaction and contentedness you'd get from executing the most perfect, beautiful prank. It was almost like a form of art itself. Anyone who failed to see this was a fool!
His hum turned into full-blown singing as he entered the bathroom. "Hey, hey hey" he sang to himself as he stared at his porcelain pale face from the broken mirror that he had just approached. "Ba de ya, say do you remember? Ba de ya, dancing in September! Remy swiped his hair to the left. He couldn't hear the tragic sniffles and tears hitting paper from the stall across the room due to his loud demeanor. But once he heard a sneeze, he turned 360 degrees on his heels and grabbed the sink, ready to face anything. Who was in there, disturbing his super top secret business? Narrowing his eyes with suspicion, he started approaching the stall carefully. Who had ruined his chance to boil the most powerful bulbadox potion ever?
"Come out come out wherever you are," he announced, ruining whatever element of surprise he had in his sleeve.

The person who had come in was singing very loudly a song she vaguely knew. When she sneezed the singing stopped suddenly. The sound of footsteps approached her hiding spot causing her to scoot back hoping he would just turn around and leave. Those thoughts were crushed when he spoke. If she stayed quiet would he forget about her and walk away? The brunette doubted that very much.
The Ravenclaw frowned and walked closer to the door. A few minutes passed until she decided to concede and opened the stall door and walked out. Hopefully he wasn't looking her way so she could sneak out. Quietly creeping she headed for the door. Turning to face him when she saw that wouldn't happen. "Yeah. Sorry about that. I think that I should just leave." Then she added. "Now you can resume your little singing concert." She said with a smirk. Hopefully he wouldn't be that offended. "What were you doing?" She noticed he had a bag with him. She wondered what he came into the bathroom to do. To her it looks like he was going to try and do something not allowed. Anyways it wasn't her business but she wanted to know.

He was staring at the stalls with eyes narrowed. He looked like a cat that was ready to jump any moment and attack his little prey. The little prey's sneezing and sniffling seized the moment he had turned away, making this a harder quest than he had originally thought. There were many stalls and he wasn't sure in which one the voice had been. He listened to his own words echo throughout the bathroom, traveling right back to his ear.
Carefully inspecting one of the stalls, he was surprised when a figure came out of them. It was a girl, presumably a second-year due to the fact that he hadn't really seen her. The tips of her hair were colored grey but her roots were brown. Remy thought of it as a poor fashion choice. He took a few steps back, holding his little bag of goodies close to his chest like they were the most precious, fragile things that anyone could ever hold. The boy was still having his eyes narrowed, signaling distrust towards the girl. What was she doing in here, sitting in silence and sneezing? Perhaps she was under the sneezing hex?
She commented on his little concert and Remy couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. He was a loud person but that didn't mean that he'd sing his heart out if he knew she was here. The girl looked like she was going to leave. Well, good! Just as he was about to start his own business, she stopped and asked him about what were his intentions. Remy pondered and weighed his options. There was a chance that he'd get busted by her. She looked like the type of people who liked to put their noses into others' business.
"...Ingredients...for stuff...called bulbadox juice. You can either assist me or leave," he gave her two options, lifting two of his first fingers up and staring at her.

Eri looked a thing him with her silver eyes and decided think about her options. "I can either leave now and you can worry about me telling. Though I probably wouldn't. And the second I stay here and help? I'm not sure if it would turn out well if I helped." The brunette wiped a strand of hair from her face and contemplated her options. If she left she could stir up some trouble, but she wasn't that type of person. Or she could stay and help him with his potion. "Fine. I'm not the type of person to tell. I'll help you." Eri breathed out a little reluctantly.
The brunette walked over to the middle of the room and sat down. Pulling out a black leather sketch book, Eri looked up at him. "The name is Eri Windstone." Then she grabbed a pencil and opened her book to a blank page. Her pencil touched the page and she began to draw a very realistic picture of a seventh year Gryffindor. "So what exactly are you making? I don't want ezactly like potions so I'm not an expert. Can you explain to me what you intend to make in here?"

He felt a bit intimidated by her silvery, glimmering eyes. If he was cold, she sure looked freezing! One sharp glare from her and he'd probably jump back and hiss like an intimidated housecat reckoning with the force of a lioness. She insisted on being someone who wouldn't tell about his little adventures, little by little even he started believing it. Losing the defensive pose and just standing as a normal, relaxed human being would, he listened very carefully to every word that she said. She was an elder to him after all.
After she agreed to help him, he gave her an acknowledging nod. Then she'd introduce herself as Eri Windstone. What a funny name for a strange girl like her. That was what he thought, even if his face remained rather blank. She suddenly whipped out some paper out of her satchel...pouch...thing. He couldn't help but feel the curiosity envelope him. Standing on his tippy-toes, he tried to peer in.
"What are you writing down? Drawing?" he left her question unanswered. He just couldn't help his short attention span either. Sometimes, he'd be outside, sitting on the ground and socializing. Then he would see an interesting bug or birds fly by and catch his attention.
"I'm Remy Alto. Pleasure to meet you," he said, finally ascending back to his heels.

Eri turned her headband to look at him. "I'm drawing my eldest brother who is in Gryffindor. Please don't peer over my shoulder. I don't like personal contact." Looking back down at her book she continued to draw the outer lines of her brother. She liked drawing people, animals, trees, and pretty much anything. Though Remy was too close for her liking. Personal contact was something she could handle. "Could you back up for a second?" Even though they weren't the same year they weren't there hat for far apart in age and he didn't need to treat her with respect.
He didn't and answer first question toon. Though he said his name. Hopefully she didn't scare him that much. Some people were unsettled by her silvery eyes. Though he didn't seem that unsettled by her. "Soo you going to answer my question about the potion or just ignore it?" The brunette blew a strand of hairbrush from her face and looked at her book and continued to draw. Flipping her pencil around she erased a mistake the next then redid a line. At least he wasn't making her leave. She didn't want to go back to her common room.

Oh, she had an older brother in Gryffindor. Judging by the way she phrased her sentence, she was not a Gryffindor. She definitely wasn't a Hufflepuff, they were warm people with genuine hearts. The silvery eyes and professional attitude of hers made him draw his conclusion. Either she was a Ravenclaw or Remy should never really draw conclusions anymore. She commanded him to not peer over her shoulder. Psht, he wasn't even that close to her. What was wrong with being a bit rowdy anyway...
Nonetheless, he respected her wishes and took a step back. His eyes were still curious, he was the type to stick his nose where it didn't belong too. She focused intensely on her drawing and Remy made the decision not to bother her. He should try and brew the potion later on. Now she had disturbed him and he'd much rather execute these things alone, keeping himself company. If he didn't do anything wrong, she couldn't exactly bust him either.
"I am not making any kind of a potion," he sure wasn't, not as long as her eyes laid upon him and watched what he was doing. Now it was his turn to menacingly stare and ask the questions. "I heard you sobbing in the stall," he pointed out, fiddling with his hair lightly.

Eri frowned. He just told her he was going to brew a potion a couple minutes ago. Well that was fine with her. "Mhmm okay." She continued to draw in her book. Eri could feel him staring at her or was it glaring? "I wasn't sobbing. More like my eyes were watering." Her cheeks had turned red in embarrassment. Why did he bring that up? That wasn't something she wanted to talk about right then.
Eri closed her book and looked over at him. "Why are you still looking at me? Do I have a something on my face?" Eri said her accent clearly evident. "I get bad allergies and um I didn't want people to see me while I wasn't having a sneezing fit." Eri was a very terrible liar. Though if she had time to think of a lie, that was a different story. Though she hoped he wouldn't press. He had gotten her back after she had made the comment on his singing. Though she hoped he didn't continue to pry. If she didn't want to talk she would be almost impossible to get her to talk unless they knew how to get under her skin. She shot him a challengingly glare as if to say 'keep prying I dare you.'

He let out a small, low and quiet hum as she kept on drawing. Was this really...urgent now? He didn't find it rude nor exactly fitting to this situation. A girl...drawing her elder brother in the abandoned toilets...sobbing. Now that he thought about it more deeply, she was giving him the major creeps.
Her eyes were watering? Surely the allergies also seemed to induce fever by the looks of her reddened cheeks. She asked him if something was on her face, and he pretended to seek something like dirt on her face. In the end, he shook his head. He found her accent funny. Remy was no expert in geography and couldn't quite place where she seemed to come from. Deciding not to ask, knowing himself how annoying it was if someone questioned your accent, he kept quiet about that matter.
"Oh, for I was under the impressions that allergies struck in the spring. I guess I was just...wrong," the corner of his lips jerked upwards once. He wouldn't try and pry if she wasn't going to tell him. The more you press, the more resistance there would be. What law was that again, Newton? Noting the daggers she shot at him with her grey eyes, he slowly blinked and shrugged.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Miss Windstone. Now I must go and continue with my...business," he looked for the right word as he approached the door of the abandoned toilets. One day he'd surely perform the greatest prank involving Bulbadox powder or juice. He'd just have to wait for the right time.
