Apparently the young Hufflepuff is a cat. Because, for some reason, his petting on the top of her head helped to calm her down - like it would for a cat. Trust awkward Siege to resort to petting someone! Serena pulled back a hand, bringing it closer to her face. She dabbed her eyes with the sleeve of her cloak as she released him from her hug. He had managed to calm her down and she dried her face, sniffing quietly as she nodded when he said he wouldn't freak out like that again, "S-sorry," She muttered out, apologising for not listening to him and crying anyway. "Th-thanks," She said in a slightly embarrassed voice as her cheeks turned a little pink. She was grateful that he calmed her down, like he would with a cat! But hey, it worked right? And that was what was important here. It was at this moment that Serena realised she may have overreacted and the hug was probably completely unexpected, "S-sor-sorry," She repeated, tugging awkwardly at her sleeves as she realised she was being ridiculous.

Giving her face one last wipe with the back of her hand, Serena stepped away from him, "Er- if you're okay- I should check on the potion..." She continued, knowing full well that her potion was very close to being done. Looking over at his potion, she frowned as she noticed it may have gotten overcooked during this whole thing. Deciding it was probably her fault, she smiled softly, "You can pretend we did this one together, if you want. You did help me, after all." She said as she looked back at her own potion that had brewed nicely.

Checking the timer, she noticed that her thirty minutes were almost up so grabbed some of the other ingredients she needed. Serena added in the English Thyme, as required and stirred the potion clockwise, before adding the next ingredient and stirring anti-clockwise. She counted every addition and stir, making sure she did the correct number. Following the steps in her book, Serena paid close attention to fire seeds she added in. She was trying extra hard and concentrating even harder than she normally would because of the Gryffindor. She had ruined his potion, after all so she really wanted to get this right. They were meant to be working in pairs, anyway.

Serena had no idea that he had felt emotions that he normally didn't feel. She didn't expect him to feel guilty about anything. In fact, it was her that felt a bit silly for probably overreacting! She did wonder what had happened to him though. He seemed completely back to normal now but... those handful of minutes were very unusual for him. Serena finished up her potion and had the professor check it. Once it was okay, she packed away her things to leave. Before she did, however, she smiled at Siege, "Hey- let me know if you want to talk or anything, okay? I er-" She paused for a second, trying to figure out what she wanted to say, "I'm not sure what happened- but er- if I can help, let me know?" She continued, giving him the option and just letting him know she was around, "Maybe visit the hospital wing if you're still not feeling too good later...?" She asked, assuming that perhaps it was some sort of health thing. With that, she grabbed her bag, waved goodbye and made her way out of the class after saying she will see him around.

Lyssa smiles at the image of magic letters delivered to Ryan's very confused family. "This place existing must have been a shock! Coming here must be like going to mars!"
To Lyssa it felt like going to a country she had heritage from, but had never seen. She was glad her Dad was born and raised in Newcastle. Difficult enough to do this once, much less twice.
"We really got lucky with Ravenclaw. Everyone has interesting ways of looking at things. I feel like there's a lot of big personalities in our house."
It was comforting. She was used to big personalities. She had one herself. In a sea of loud voices, her own felt mercifully quiet.
Lyssa didn't fit in at her muggle school. Not because she was magic, or intelligent, or anything else. For all she knew there was another witch-to-be at her school. But every class has a couple of kids who are viewed as Odd in some intangible way. There are usually other children who are odder, but they pass a test that Lyssa didn't understand or know the rules of.
Even if she didn't know the rules at Hogwarts, she felt like her invisible oddity was gone here.

Ryan nods, fidgeting with the hem of her robes, "I had always wanted magic to exist, but I thought it was all just fairy tales, I never thought that it would actually be real, and that I'd actually be able to use magic! It's incredible really..." She smiles widely, looking as though she were rather excited.

She hums thoughtfully, agreeably, and looks over at the simmering pot. "I like that everyone in our house is interesting, I'm just afraid of being boring compared to everyone else, I mean... I read a lot, like most others in it, but I don't really have any other hobbies. I don't draw or paint... I was never into being in plays at school... I'm an ok singer, but I'm just ok at it." She shrugs a bit, itching her nose by rubbing her finger sideways across it, getting a little nervous. She wasn't used to talking about herself at all, and it was making her fidget quite a bit. She looks at the clock, noting that they were 15 minutes into the half an hour wait for the potion.

Changing the focus of the conversation, she eyes Lyssa, "What about you? Do you have any hobbies? What did you do to occupy yourself during muggle school?"

Maya was not sure what to say or do, so she sat down next to a Slytherin girl. "Hey, wanna be partners?" Maya smiled and sat down. "well, I guess we should do the Pepper-Up Potion. Let's see," Maya grabbed the recipe and started working.

Hello Maya,

Please make sure to follow the minimum 200 word count limit. The part below is a part of the rules page:
1.) A minimum of 200 words is required. This rule is there to create a certain coherence between the players. Nevertheless, this allows you to create an atmosphere around your character. Therefore, 200 will make you develop your skills in RPG and improve yourself.
If you wish for some assistance on how to reach 200, we'd gladly help you. I'm available via the Owl if you have any questions Maya. Thank you. (:

"I think you don't find hobbies; hobbies find you," Lyssa declared. She gestured as she spoke, waving her hands to emphasize nearly everything. "You'll see something interesting and want to learn more about it. Next thing you know, you're reading books after books, and spending hours trying to figure out some weird trick. Something's going to find you, I'm sure of it. But anyway, I don't think you're boring as is either."
Lyssa reached into her bag and took out a small origami owl. It was made out of some of the school's parchment, the same kind she was taking notes on. "Origami found me a few years ago. I was wandering around a little pop-up market and saw a woman with a stand full of paper animals. I asked about a million questions. She ended up teaching me how to make a fish."
Lyssa looked at the owl in her hand and was struck by the urge to recreate that fish. It was a lot simpler than most things she made, but a little nostalgia never hurt anyone.
Lyssa took out a spare piece of from her bag and began to fold it as she spoke. She didn't like her hands to be idle. Better to keep them as busy as her mind.

Ryan raises a brow at her words, never having thought of it that way. She listened as Lyssa reassured her, the girls friendly attitude making her smile just a little. She wasn't sure if she was right about Ryan finding a hobby herself though, as she hadn't really found anything yet, and she was already eleven.

When she sees the little owl, her eyes go wide, and she positively squeals in delight. "Oh my god, it's so cute! You made this? That's so awesome!" She listens to her explain where she learned about origami, feeling herself take an interest in it herself, though with a quick thought into it, she feels it is something she probably shouldn't get into. Paper cuts were probably common, and she had a pretty big phobia of pain, not to mention she didn't really have much in the way of hand eye coordination.

Still, the owl was really cute, Ryan liked owls, and thought they were very cute and beautiful... at a distance... wings flapping freaked her out a bit. "It's really cool that you found something you like just by chance,  what's the most complicated thing you can make out of paper now?" She watched her take out paper and got a little excited, she would get to watch her make something, and that was pretty darn cool.

Juliana is sitting at the corner of the room looking at her potions book very confusingly... Then she starts to doodle. She glances at everyone and asks a random person "umm... Want to be partners...?"
Then she just goes back to drawing around her book,Juliana's glasses where askew so she pulls them back up using one finger looking very nerdy. Then she starts reading, 'hmm... A pepper-up potion?' She thinks, then she starts grabbing the supplies for the potion. "I'm done. I think... Um can someone check me? Anyone?" She asks after finishing the recipe. She sits at the corner of the room, alone, she looks at everyone. Then she starts to think about doing pranks... She shakes her head, she sneaks out of the room and then she casualy walks in, she screams "OH NO! A THREE HEADED TROLL IS COMING FOR US!! HIDE!!" She runs to the corner of the room and sits back down laughing at all of the panicked people in the room. She looks at her potion acting Innocent. She tries so hard to not laugh and even bit her lip to hard that it bled. But she could not resist. She laughed out loud.

Harley sat in the middle of the room flicking through the potions book trying to decide which potion should he make. Eventually he found it a smoke bomb that could cover a whole room, he got up and found all the equipment needed to preform the potion. The room was quiet as everyone either had their heads in the books or were mingling quietly to the person next to them.

Siting down once more to begin his potion, it took four minutes for him to mix together the potion,. When he was done he heard Puppet from his last class yell, "OH NO! A THREE HEADED TROLL IS COMING FOR US!! HIDE!!". The whole room began to panic and so did he, a troll inside the school how, where and why here. As everyone began to hear laughter, he and others began to realised it was a joke.

Taking a seat he realised that he could play his own joke with the newly formed potion and without another thought he dropped it on the floor. Within seconds the room was covered in smoke people began to cough and laugh at how potions class had turned into a joke. Yet it was not to last as someone used a spell to clear it and it was none other then the professor.
