A girl was walking through the snow, smiling slightly at the beautiful landscape. The girl was, well, in her eyes, average, but people said she was beautiful, but she really didn't think so. The girl had dark brown hair pulled into a fishtail braid with a ribbon through it, full pink lips, and eyes that were dark brown with specks of gold in them. She was wearing a winter coat over her oversized sweater and black jeans, and was wearing winter boots.

This girl was Min-seo Kim. She came out here to, well, calm down if anything. She hadn't really had anything that was making her riled up, it's just she loved the place, it was peaceful, most of the time, unless people came and started hurling snow at each other and screaming, which she didn't mind, she loved being energetic too and was extremely competitive when it came down to games of some sort.

She found a tree and climbed in it and began to read. The girl was continuing the book, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander. She had read the book many times. but she loved to re-read it. She was just reading for a while, before a snowball hit her.

The boy was stomping his way through the white, powdery snow. Remy had half of his face covered by the striking silver and green scarf he proudly wore. He was also wearing his glasses, something very rare from him. He didn't really like wearing them since they would always fall off and get all foggy, failing their job to make him see better. Besides, people still thought that everyone with glasses was some kind of a genius nerd. Did Remy regard himself a genius? Probably, even though he definitely wasn't. A nerd? Never!

He was someone who wasn't a fan of cold at all. In fact, Remy would do anything to get back to Brazil. It had been a long time since his family moved to the UK, but he'd still find the British weather dreadful to put it nicely. He'd sacrifice his chocolate frog cards to flutter his eyes open to cheeks being kissed by the sun. He'd suffer tens of thousands of sunburns just to bask under that yellow star in the sky! But the heaps of snow was quite attractive to him too. There was lots of stuff to do, build and explore. Besides, he really loved Christmas time. It was the time of joy, laughter, and sharing. He also had an excuse to scream those sweet carols without anyone questioning him.

He loved building snowmen, frolicking in the snow and the most of them all, he loved snowball fights. So when a girl appeared in his view that he was admiring, Remy quickly realized that she had made a grave mistake. He watched the girl climb a tree and start reading a book. Psht, bookworms. Why would she sit outside, enjoying this cold crisp air when there were so many better things to enjoy? He recognized the girl to be a Slytherin too. He wasn't sure what her name was or what year she was in, but he was sure that he had seen her before. The boy grinned and muttered something under his breath about how he was going to make her regret she had joined him on this day.

Crouching, the boy started forming a neat snowball. He wasn't wearing any gloves or mittens to protect his frail and pale hands from the biting, freezing chilliness. It was like his porcelain pale skin almost blended in with the snow. After he was done, he stood up again, a grin plastered on his face. It was so big it almost reached both of his ears! Taking a few steps forward to accelerate, he aimed and threw the ball toward his target. He didn't need to squint his eyes to see that he hit the spot. Bullseye!

"Hey loser, come and catch me if you can!" he exclaimed, scurried and waded through the snow in attempts to grow the distance between him and the girl.

”Hey loser! Catch me if you can!”
Min-seo look at the boy with a “really?” face, tilting her head to the side. He seemed to be around her age, first year. He was a Slytherin too, it seemed. She was pissed as hell.”Oh you’re on!” she yelled with a glare that could kill anyone. She dropped her book onto the tree branch and her small frame jumped out of the tree gracefully in the snow and ran after him, trying to get though the snow. She grabbed a bunch of snow off the ground and packed it into a ball. She aimed and hit the boy straight in the head. She hid behind a tree to get away from him with a smirk on her face. ”Yes!” she said to herself. She didn’t particularly hate the boy yet, but he seemed.....judgemental? But isn’t everyone sometimes? She snickered a bit, proud of herself for hitting him. She didn’t throw it that hard, although it was hard enough that she saw it explode on the back of his head, she didn’t think it was painful, the snow was quite soft, and if it was not, she wouldn’t aimed for his head.

Remy kept dragging his feet and body forward, despite the thick snow trying to slow him down as much as it was possible. He could hear that this girl was pissed with him. Real rage, that was what it was. Muttering something about hurrying up under his breath (lately, mumbling under his breath had become a habit. He could only wonder who rubbed this on him). Just as he thought he had escaped the Cheshire cat of a girl that had been hanging around the tree, he felt a cold bomb explode on the back of his head. It didn't hurt, but boy was it cold. The boy felt the snow trickle and scatter through his neck and back despite the scarf he was wearing to protect those areas.

Letting out a girly scream, his hands quickly traveled to the back of his neck. Ducking just in case there were other snowballs flying towards his direction, he was glad to note that no, there were not. The boy quickly assembled another snowball and turned towards the direction of where the cannon had spat the ball from. He could not detect the fellow Slytherin girl in the snow so he immediately presumed that she was hiding behind that tree. Based on the noises coming out of there, he was sure he was right.

He started gathering snow and made two balls this time. His hands were shaking, he wasn't sure if it was from the cold or excitement. Lifting the glasses more towards his nose bridge, he ran towards the tree and let out a war cry. He peeked to see if the girl was behind the tree and was delighted to see that yes, the girl was indeed there. Throwing the snowball from a greater distance, it made an impressive curve. All those days playing baseball at the muggle school paid off. However, it gave her a bit too much time to dodge.

"You know you can still beg for mercy?" he asked with a sneer before throwing the other one of the balls towards the brunette girl. Remy did a sidearm throw this time, just like he had when he was stone skimming earlier. Hoping that it would hit, he took cover by ducking once again and making himself as small as he could in the open area.

Min-seo stayed behind the tree for a bit, until she saw a snowball hurl towards her head, thrown by the Slytherin boy. She ducked her head with a smile and the snow hit the tree instead. She saw the boy smiling and throwing the next one, hitting the front of her neck. She yelped as the cold snow went down her sweater onto her front. She brushed it off as much as she could, and she glared at the boy as he smirked. He was taller than her, but no matter, she could still take him on in a snowball fight.
"You know you can still beg for mercy?"
The boy said, sneering at her. She smiled, well it was more like a smirk if anything, despite the fact she was cold. She made another snowball and threw it at him, slightly skimming his shoulder.
"No way in hell! Shouldn't you be the one doing that!?" she yelled with a smirk. She made another one, this time hitting him. She started to run away and stood by the best place possible to dodge a snowball, a thicker tree. She peeked out behind in with a smile of the Cheshire Cat. She stuck out her tongue playfully.

Just as he had predicted, the first ball of snow that he had thrown didn't even tap her, not at all. Instead, it hit the tree right next to her, the same one that she had been hiding behind just a moment ago. She was smiling right back at him, and although he knew that the smile wasn't exactly the friendliest, he felt a sense of warmth inside. Yes, even despite the biting cold, he felt the warmth emitting from that nerdy girl.

He found her reaction hilarious and let out a light, uncontrollable chuckle. She let out a yelp and started brushing the snow immediately off. He took advantage of these few seconds he had to escape, stood up and started running away. Just as he started his run to freedom, a snowball flew right next to him with great speeds, skimming his shoulder a bit. Letting out a grunt as if he was just shot in the battlefield, he held his shoulder dramatically. Turning to see what was going on for the last time, he noticed very quickly that he had been too slow and too late to look. There was a snowball already heading towards him. Quickly turning his head away to avoid the biggest damage, his back took it all.

He had to take a strong step forward to regain his fragile balance in this snow. By the time he was going to get his revenge, she was gone. Behind the trees somewhere there. Remy let out an exhale and lifted his hands up in the air. "Alright alright, you win. I lose, I give up," he gave up, waved his white flag loud enough for her to hear what he had exclaimed.

Min-seo giggled as the boy clutched his shoulder in fake pain, like a battle wound. He turned and took a snowball to the back. He looked around for her, but could not see her behind the big tree. She started to sneeze. Her sneezes were like a kitten sneeze in a way, according to her brother. She heard the boy shout:
"Alright alright, you win. I lose, I give up!"
She saw him put his hands up in defeat. He wasn't trying to trick her right? She peeked out from behind the tree and tilted her head to the side with a kind smile, anger gone.......mostly. "Are you sure? You're not tricking me right?" she asked, coming out from behind the tree. She started to sneeze again, almost falling from tripping. What the heck was happening to her? She totally changed from earlier. She started to shiver from the cold, also partly because she still had snow down her sweater. She walked over to him, shivering. "May as well ask what your name is? And that was fun, but please don't throw any more snowballs at me, I'm freezing already" she said, still freezing, her cheeks pink from the cold.

He could hear her giggle and chuckled lightly under his breath too. Was he going to actually give up just like that? Of course not! This was Remy Alto we were talking about. He was the sorest loser that Hogwarts had seen in a long time. Besides, he knew his ways around messing with people and being a tricky little guy. Stacking snow in his arms, he started making an extra large snowball with a side of his grin.

Remy hid his snowball behind his back and hacked his grin off. Now he matched the innocence and naivete that this girl had, he was sure of it. Upon hearing the sneezes though, he slowly his brow. What was going on? Why was she sneezing like someone just put a hex on her? He didn't answer when she asked about how truthful his words were. She peeked to see him with a small smile on her lips. He found it peculiar, how did she forgive him so easily for assaulting her with the snow? The girl kept on sneezing and almost tripped. Impressed by the power of her sneezes, he blinked slowly in confusion.

The girl was shivering. But just a moment ago she was just fine. Remy decided that it was just her being cold, he was cold too. But something was wrong, her cheeks were pink and heated. Remy let the snow crumble in his hands and the snowball dissolved. This feeling was new to him, the stinging guilt passing his heart.

"I won't throw them anymore," he mumbled under his breath, flashing some regret in his eyes. He didn't answer her question about his name, that was not important now.
"You sure you ain't under a sneezing hex? I think a cup of something warm could do wonders to you," he mentioned casually, scratching his cheek. Remy didn't believe that she was getting sick, that would happen way too fast and the girl must have had the worst immune system in the world for that to happen.

She still shivered. She didn't think she was sick, probably just from the cold. She also just sneezed a lot too.
"You sure you ain't under a sneezing hex? I think a cup of something warm could do wonders to you,"
"I-I don't think it's a hex, I'm not sure if there was anyone behind the trees. I'm fine, we can continue if you want, I'm fine, it's probably just from yesterday, for I was kinda sick, I think it's the, well, aftermath."she said quietly. She was not fine though. She felt very sick yesterday, and she thought she got better, but no, the snowball fight was probably not the best idea for her when she was slightly sick already. She felt like she was made of led, and she felt like she couldn't walk anymore, and her legs and arms were heavy. She wrapped her coat tighter around herself. What was wrong with her? She knew she felt terrible, and it wasn't fun at all, plus the snow down her front wasn't helping whatsoever. She had a terrible immune system, probably getting it from her mom, for she got sick really easily. Not the best trait to have, honestly.

He looked at her with a face that hinted suspicion. No, it wasn't a hint, it was full-blow uncertainty towards her words. She revealed to him that her state had been like this since yesterday and his attack was what brought it to the light finally. He was dismayed at this, why would she be outside reading on the branch of a tree when she should be inside, warming up in the common room? Questioning the level of intelligence this girl owned and her odd choices, he lightly shook his head from one side to the other.

This simply was not right. Not taking a no for an answer, he wrapped his long fingers around her slim wrist. Trying to tug her gently towards the castle again, he jerked his head towards it.
"Don't be stubborn, you'll get even sicker if you stay out in here. I don't want to play with a sick mate. Besides, who knows how much of school and classes you'd miss if you'd get sick now?" he said, mimicking the tone of his mother that he had heard when he was getting scolded. It wasn't a rare occurrence, so he matched it fairly well.

He couldn't care less of schoolwork and classes, but he knew very well how terrible it was to be bedridden and wishing to feel the sensation of a not-stuffed nose again one day. "You know, I've got some marshmallows," he mentioned casually. Of course, there was an agenda behind that too. He'd bribe her to be silent about this incident and wash his hands, maybe make her feel better in the same go. There wasn't anything that sweets couldn't fix, not even a sour mood!
