I nodded as Ara replied. "Yeah, that's true but as long as there's some things that are not cliche then having one or two cliche things will be fine I think." I said. Then, Ara froze. I nervously tapped my fingers on my notebook. Was it too soon to ask her if we could be friends? Was I being too outgoing? I hoped she would say yes. I tried a small smile. I didn't have that many friends and I hoped to make some new ones. I had a few. Mostly acquaintances. Finally after a little while she said yes. I grinned. "Yay!" I said, "It's been really nice talking to you and meeting you in the library, I feel we have a lot in common so I'm glad that we can be friends." I grinned again. I checked my watch quickly. It was getting late and I would probably have to go soon. "It was nice sharing ideas and I hope we can do it again another day but I probably should get going! See you on Saturday night and hopefully again so we can share ideas again!!" I said. I grabbed my bag and packed up my things. I waved goodbye to her and then headed inside excited that I had made another friend. |
